Chapter 98: K head

A black helicopter illuminated the deck of the Moniyahe, its propellers cutting through the downpour, spraying an arc of water.

The helicopter hovered directly above the Moniyahe, and Lu Mingfei and Liu Heguang on the deck looked up at the passengers in the helicopter.

The helicopter lowered the ladder, and a slender figure descended, holding onto the ladder.

The guest, holding a black umbrella, still got wet as he approached them.

“Principal!”

“Mr. Angers.”

Both spoke at the same time.

“An old friend was overly enthusiastic, so I stayed a bit longer,” Angers said, looking at where the Next Generation Species’s corpse floated.

“I apologize, I’m late.”

Under the beam of light shining on the deck, Lu Mingfei clearly saw that the Principal’s meticulously groomed silver hair was matted, with viscous dark liquid sticking dozens of white hairs together, which even the heavy rain couldn’t wash away.

“You two worked together to kill a Next Generation Species?” Angers nodded slightly.

Liu Heguang shook his head, not taking credit for something he didn’t do, “It was all thanks to Mingfei; I didn’t contribute any strength from beginning to end.

Congratulations, Principal, Kassel College has a promising future.”

Angers turned his head, his gaze at Lu Mingfei clearly showing surprise.

“You did very well, just as I always believed you would, Mingfei.”

He reached out a hand and clapped Lu Mingfei’s shoulder forcefully.

“How does it feel to kill a Next Generation Species?”

“Much harder to kill than a Three-Generations Breed,” Lu Mingfei mumbled, scratching his head.

Angers chuckled at his words.

“Then try harder; maybe it’ll be easier next time.”

He paused.

“Was the Dragon King’s cocoon not brought back from underwater?”

Lu Mingfei looked troubled.

“When I was entangled with the Next Generation Species, I gave it to Zero, but Zero hasn’t boarded the ship yet.”

Angers was silent for a moment.

“Is she still underwater?”

“I’m not sure, but her oxygen is enough to last until now,” Lu Mingfei calculated Zero’s oxygen tank readings.

“The Next Generation Species has been dealt with, so what could stop her from leaving the Bronze City now?”

“Another Next Generation Species?” Lu Mingfei suddenly remembered Zero’s words about “Samson or great-grandson.”

He suddenly became flustered.

“Liu Heguang, how many Next Generation Species guards are there in Bronze City?”

Liu Heguang gave a bitter smile, his eyes downcast.

“I don’t know, but definitely more than one.”

“I… I see.”

Lu Mingfei suddenly turned and ran to the ship’s railing, looking at the color of the river water below.

He forced himself to calm down.

Old Tang was still with Zero.

The key person for the “Good Luck Charm” was Old Tang, and Old Tang’s keyword was “wishes come true.”

As long as Zero didn’t separate from Old Tang midway, nothing would happen.

Unless Zero’s wish was to die.

If that’s the case, there’s only one place left if she hasn’t boarded the ship: ashore.

“Liu Heguang, please arrange for people to clear the riverbank.

Zero and the others might have been affected by the battle and forced ashore,” Lu Mingfei said.

“Okay,” Liu Heguang nodded.

Lu Mingfei was still uneasy, so he turned to the aft cabin to change clothes, preparing to go to the riverbank himself.

“Mingfei,” Shuhtome Yaji said softly, looking at the boy walking towards her.

“Zero was likely forced ashore, I need to leave the Moniyahe to find her,” Lu Mingfei picked up his regular clothes from the chair.

His diving suit was already in tatters; to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, he needed to change clothes.

“That’s what I was going to tell you,” Shuhtome Yaji pointed to the phone on another stool.

“Someone sent you a message saying Zero is with them, telling you not to worry, they will take good care of Zero.”

Lu Mingfei froze, his hand reaching out from his long sleeve to bring the N96 to his eyes.

The sender was an unknown number.

“Zero and the item are with us, no need to worry, we will take good care of her, see you tomorrow.”

Just as Lu Mingfei was about to say something else, the waves on the river surface suddenly surged again, and the Moniyahe shook.

He nearly lost his balance, but Shuhtome Yaji timely supported him.

Lu Mingfei turned and looked through the aft cabin’s porthole, seeing the river surface raging once more.

A black spine crossed over the half-severed body of the Next Generation Species, carrying it to an unknown place.

A dragon’s head broke through the river surface, appearing in everyone’s sight before quickly disappearing.

It seemed to have no hostility towards the Moniyahe; its next leap only pushed down another section of the dragon’s body.

Unfathomable emotions were hidden within its Golden Eyes.

What is the method for dragons to purify their bloodline?

It seemed to have an answer at this moment… devouring their own kind.

It cannot be given the chance to purify its bloodline!

The “Good Luck Charm” is with Zero, so for now, Lu Mingfei decided to believe the authenticity of this message.

His eyes narrowed; while the boost from Inspiration hadn’t disappeared, he, along with the Principal and Liu Heguang, could definitely plan to stop it!

Arrogance unsheathed like the rising sun in the east, a powerful presence appeared in everyone’s minds.

The domain of this alchemical sword was reactivated, enveloping Lu Mingfei, granting him 64 times his normal speed!

After drinking the Next Generation Species’s dragon blood, this weapon’s recognition of Lu Mingfei had deepened another level.

The three rushed out from different positions on the Moniyahe, having thought of the same thing: they absolutely could not allow a pure-blooded dragon to devour the Next Generation Species’s corpse and evolve.

Under the night, a silent aura enveloped them.

The three’s gazes met from dozens of meters away in the rainy night, their burning Golden Eyes revealing the same conviction.

Slay the dragon!

When Shuhtome Yaji came back to her senses, Lu Mingfei’s N96 was already by her hand.

The boy had dropped his half-worn clothes and had disappeared from the aft cabin at some unknown time.

Under the black storm, the twisting, ascending pure-blooded dragon saw three blurry black figures attacking.

Writhing dragon scales spontaneously grew on their faces.

A great spear, like a long rainbow piercing the sun, was the first to break through its dragon scales.

Following closely, an unsheathed folding knife pierced its pupil, making half its vision disappear.

Finally, that noble aura permeated, causing it to involuntarily let out a terrifying shriek.

The roar was not of anger, but of fear.

After thousands of years, this sword was actually unsheathed again.

It dropped the Next Generation Species’s body, wanting to escape, but its entire dragon body was fixed on the river.

Time Zero and Time Zero were performed simultaneously, an operation theoretically capable of pausing time until death, appearing for the first time on a dragon-slaying battlefield.

At the same time, Arrogance locked onto the dragon’s body, intending to execute it publicly.

Once upon a time, it too was forced by Arrogance to become a guard for this sword’s master.

Now, it had no chance to become a guard for the current master of this sword.

It became a dilemma as to which fated dragon slayer would end this pure-blooded dragon’s life.

Three different Runes intertwined and unfolded on the dragon’s body.

Finally, Arrogance fiercely suppressed the other two Runes, but this also directly led to the complete sealing of this dragon’s Rune.

The dragon spear pierced into the pure-blooded dragon’s spine, almost severing its reactive nerves.

The potent poison from the Philosopher’s Stone contained within the folding knife was slowly devouring its strength.

With Arrogance still eyeing it menacingly, the dragon had a rebellious thought one second, and the next second its head would fall.

“Mr. Angers, do you know the concept of ‘kill stealing’ in games nowadays?” Liu Heguang said with a smile.

Within the 50-times amplified Time Zero, the three nodded in acknowledgment.

The dragon was like a black silhouette frozen in an ink painting, and they were the final strokes about to fall.

They exchanged no words, Liu Heguang’s meaning was already very clear: go all out, and as for who delivered the final blow, that would depend entirely on luck.

Half of the mixed-blood society’s representatives of violence had gathered here; even the strongest Next Generation Species would meet its end on the spot.

And so, hands moved, blades fell.

On the Moniyahe, everyone heard the earth-shattering, mournful dragon roar and saw the heroic figures of the three intertwined beneath the blazing black sun.
