Chapter 4: Dig a hole and bury it

To the west of Qingzhu Peak’s Servant Hall, near a Broken Cliff, there were usually no people, so Qin Chu went there to practice his sword.

Basic Swordplay was a relatively low-level technique, but Qin Chu felt that since it could become a classic, it must have its merits. The classic might be lacking, but it mainly depended on the person.

Standing by the Broken Cliff, Qin Chu drew his sword and began to Cultivate the Basic Swordplay recorded in the classic. His long sword swung, chopping, slashing, thrusting, parrying, slicing… all basic moves!

This Cultivation continued for two hours until Er Pang brought him food.

“Hmm, why is there meat?” Qin Chu was a little surprised. The food in the Servant Hall was relatively poor, usually without much oil.

“Boss, we help out in the kitchen, so they naturally give us some benefits. I used to eat well, so now I naturally have to lead the way,” Er Pang said with a smile. It was better when he didn’t smile, as his facial fat trembled when he did.

Looking at Er Pang’s chubby face, Qin Chu understood the reason for his obesity. This guy apparently ate better than the other Utility Disciples.

“You’re quite sensible. Go back! Bring me food on time,” Qin Chu dismissed Er Pang.

After eating, Qin Chu continued to practice his sword. There was no useless Cultivation Technique, only useless people. Qin Chu believed that as long as he Cultivated diligently, he would definitely achieve results.

Next, Qin Chu practiced his sword during the day and Cultivated the Nameless Skill taught to him by the old man at night.

The Nameless Skill didn’t Cultivate Origin Qi, but it made Qin Chu’s body strong. His body wasn’t bulky, but it contained immense power. He could kill a fierce tiger with one punch. Where did that power come from? It was Cultivated through the Nameless Skill.

Half a month passed, and Qin Chu’s Basic Swordplay became much more refined. One day, Er Pang came, and Qin Chu noticed that one of Er Pang’s eyes was bruised.

“What happened? Who was so blind as to hit you? Don’t they know you’re under my protection?” Qin Chu frowned.

“Another Utility Disciple joined our Servant Hall. He was disobedient, and when I told him to work, he hit me,” Er Pang said, feeling a bit wronged. Who did he offend? He had been the head of the Utility Disciples for several years and had never encountered such a thing.

After eating, Qin Chu stood up and patted his stomach, “Let’s go see. If he dares to be unruly, we’ll just dig a pit and bury him.”

While walking, Er Pang told Qin Chu that the new Utility Disciple, Bai Yu, was also a transfer student. He was originally supposed to participate in the grand Disciple recruitment ceremony but arrived late, so he came to the Servant Hall to find a place to eat.

“That guy said that besides eating, if anyone calls him, he’ll hit them!” Er Pang told Qin Chu.

Returning to the Servant Hall, Qin Chu heard discussions. All the Utility Disciples in one room had been driven out, and the room was occupied by the new Utility Disciple.

The Utility Disciples were discussing that first there was Qin Chu, this powerful Dragon, and now there was Bai Yu, this fierce tiger. They wondered who would be the head of the Utility Disciples next, but it was certain that Er Pang would become San Pang.

“You surnamed Bai, get out!” Qin Chu shouted as he arrived at the room from which the Utility Disciples had been driven out.

At this moment, a young man came out and looked at Qin Chu, “You are Qin Chu, the boss here. Don’t bother with me. You still want to be your head. If you interfere with me, you won’t be able to be the head of the Utility Disciples.”

Qin Chu shook his neck, “Let’s fight. If you win, you’re the boss here. If you lose, you listen to me!”

“Good!” The young man named Bai Yu came to the Utility Disciples’ courtyard and then drew the long sword from his waist.

Looking at the long sword in the young man’s hand, Qin Chu shook his head. He had just managed to get a long sword himself, otherwise, he wouldn’t even be as good as this transfer Utility Disciple. Of course, he was also a transfer Utility Disciple.

Bai Yu didn’t stand on ceremony with Qin Chu, drawing his sword and attacking.

Qin Chu drew his long sword and used Basic Swordplay to fight Bai Yu.

A formidable opponent! As they fought, Qin Chu realized Bai Yu was not simple. His swordplay was very sharp. This was the swordplay he had Cultivated for half a month; otherwise, he really couldn’t have held on.

After fighting for a while, the power in Qin Chu’s body erupted. If your swordplay is clever, then I’ll play it rough with you.

With one clash of their long swords, Bai Yu’s long sword was knocked flying by Qin Chu.

After knocking away the opponent’s long sword, Qin Chu put away his long sword and rushed forward to engage Bai Yu in close combat.

At this point, Bai Yu was miserable. He couldn’t withstand Qin Chu at all. First, he took a punch to the stomach, which doubled him over like a shrimp, and then Qin Chu punched him in the jaw, knocking him down directly.

Mounting him, Qin Chu immediately delivered a punch to the eye, making one of Bai Yu’s eyes unable to open.

After dealing with Bai Yu, Qin Chu stood up and patted his robes, “Everyone, go do what you need to do and continue to listen to Er Pang.”

The Utility Disciples all went to work, mainly because Qin Chu was too fierce.

Bai Yu sat up, rubbing his eyes. One eye had been punched shut by Qin Chu.

“You’re very good. Follow me from now on, or else I’ll dig a pit and bury you!” Qin Chu said, looking at Bai Yu.

“I’ll follow you for now, don’t let me beat you!” Bai Yu looked at Qin Chu and nodded. He had no choice; he couldn’t beat Qin Chu right now.

“I’m always ready for your challenge. You kid have a good foundation, why are you here as a Utility Disciple?” Qin Chu asked, looking at Bai Yu.

Bai Yu then explained his situation. He had caused trouble at home and ran away to seek refuge. The Qingyun Sect’s Disciple recruitment ceremony was over, so he spent some silver to become a Utility Disciple!

“It’s too embarrassing. I’ll participate in the assessment next year! If my family finds out I became a Utility Disciple of the Qingyun Sect, they’ll kill me!” Bai Yu sighed.

Qin Chu reached out and slapped Bai Yu on the back of his head, “What’s wrong with being a Utility Disciple? Can’t a Utility Disciple be magnificent? Follow me! Whether they are Outer Sect Disciples or Inner Sect Disciples of the Qingyun Sect, they will all have to look up to us.”

“Are you sure?” Bai Yu asked, looking at Qin Chu.

“Sure!” Qin Chu nodded.

Bai Yu sized up Qin Chu for a moment, “I’ll believe you for now. What do you say we do?”

“After lunch, we’ll set off to do missions, earn Sect points, and then exchange them for Cultivation Techniques! Others start as formal Disciples, but we’ll rise from Utility Disciples,” Qin Chu said, patting his chest.

“Let’s do it!” Bai Yu was also excited, but his bruised eye did affect his image a bit.

Qin Chu called Er Pang, “Er Pang, you don’t need to worry about Bai Yu’s matters. Arrange his luggage in my room. You all do as you usually do.”

After lunch, Qin Chu took Bai Yu out. He planned to earn points while practicing Basic Swordplay through actual combat.

Bai Yu’s bruised eye made him unable to show his face, so he got a cloth bag and tied it over his bruised eye, becoming a cyclops!

Qin Chu and Bai Yu arrived at the Merit Hall and began to accept missions, taking all missions to find medicinal herbs and Yao Beast cores below the third rank!

The Enforcement of the Merit Hall said nothing, and the other Qingyun Sect Disciples also remained silent. They knew about Qin Chu, this ridiculous Utility Disciple. What was different from before was that this time Qin Chu was wearing a sword, and he also brought a sword-wielding follower.
