After a brief word with Shang Shuyu, Qin Chu left Vermilion Bird Villa.
This time, Qin Chu traveled alone. He wasn't leaving Heavenly Sword City and didn't need Qingyi's protection. He was now a King Realm Cultivator, capable of flight, and could escape if he encountered danger.
Qin Chu arrived at the inn where Shang Ruoyu was staying and then asked the inn's waiter to announce him.
The inn where Shang Ruoyu stayed was the best in Heavenly Sword City. She had booked an entire area, and normally, no one else was allowed to enter.
After the waiter announced him, Shang Ruoyu appeared.
"You came to find me? The sun must be rising from the west!" Seeing Qin Chu, Shang Ruoyu's eyes, visible above her veil, were full of smiles.
"Can you invite me in for a cup of tea?" Qin Chu pointed towards the courtyard area where Shang Ruoyu resided.
Shang Ruoyu nodded and invited Qin Chu into the inn.
Leading Qin Chu into her courtyard, Shang Ruoyu brewed a cup of tea for him.
"Not many people get to drink tea brewed by the White Tiger Empress, do they?" Qin Chu said after taking a sip of tea.
Removing her veil, Shang Ruoyu took a small sip from her teacup. "Yes, but for you, drinking tea is nothing, right? You've already taken something even more precious from me."
Qin Chu coughed and set down his teacup. "Are you saying you feel wronged? Well, I feel wronged too! This is something my fiancée can accept. If she couldn't, wouldn't I be even worse off?"
"You're taking advantage and then acting innocent!" Shang Ruoyu reached out and grabbed Qin Chu's ear.
After grabbing Qin Chu's ear, Shang Ruoyu's face was flushed. She didn't understand how she had made such a move.
"Let go!" Qin Chu's ear hurt from being grabbed. He had Cultivated his body, but not his ears.
Shang Ruoyu, who had originally intended to let go, heard Qin Chu's words and decided not to. She even gave it another tug.
Qin Chu twisted his body to stand up and reached for Shang Ruoyu's arm.
Grabbing Shang Ruoyu's arm, Qin Chu pulled. Not only did he fail to pull Shang Ruoyu's arm away, but he pulled Shang Ruoyu closer to him instead.
Pressed against Qin Chu's chest, Shang Ruoyu quietly looked at Qin Chu. When Qin Chu tried to pull Shang Ruoyu's hand again, Shang Ruoyu released her grip on Qin Chu's ear.
Looking at Shang Ruoyu standing in front of him, the fire in Qin Chu's heart ignited, and he let Shang Ruoyu lean against his chest.
"It's been so long, and you only came to see me once," Shang Ruoyu said, looking at Qin Chu.
Looking at Shang Ruoyu's lips, which seemed ready to drip blood, Qin Chu, as if possessed, kissed them.
Shang Ruoyu did not evade, allowing Qin Chu to kiss her.
Kissing and kissing, Qin Chu picked up Shang Ruoyu and carried her into the room.
The previous time was a mistake, both of them in a dazed state. This time, both were sober; one full of youthful vigor, the other not resisting, naturally, it was like dry wood and raging fire.
After a long while, the room finally quieted down.
"I… I'm so sorry, I was too impulsive," Qin Chu said, regretting it a little after they were done.
"Sorry… if the last time was a misunderstanding, then what about this time?" Shang Ruoyu tidied her inner clothes.
"This time isn't a misunderstanding; I just couldn't control myself. Please don't mind it!" Qin Chu wanted to escape, but he felt it wasn't appropriate.
"Why shouldn't I mind?" Shang Ruoyu leaned against Qin Chu.
"It's not the first time!" Qin Chu whispered.
"Can that be the same? The first time you stabbed me with a sword, it could be called an accidental injury. I was generous, I didn't say anything; but you can't stab me with multiple swords again and then expect me not to mind, can you?" Shang Ruoyu said, looking up at Qin Chu.
"Then how about a few more stabs? We'll settle it all at once later!" Qin Chu, whose internal fire had risen again, rolled over and pushed Shang Ruoyu down once more.
Qin Chu and Shang Ruoyu's next conversation was already in the afternoon.
"Shang Ruoyu, what do you say we do?" Qin Chu was ready to accept the consequences of his reckless behavior.
Looking at Qin Chu, Shang Ruoyu shook her head with a hint of resentment. "In your eyes, am I a very unreasonable person? Actually, I'm not as bad as you think. This matter isn't just your responsibility; I was willing too."
"But I can't go to Youwu Continent with you, nor can I take any responsibility," Qin Chu sighed. Shang Ruoyu had mentioned last time that she wanted him to go to Youwu Continent, and he knew then what her feelings were; Shang Ruoyu was willing to accept him.
"There's no need to talk about responsibility. I, Shang Ruoyu, am not that despicable. I won't destroy someone else's marriage. Just come find me for tea when you have time," Shang Ruoyu said to Qin Chu.
"Do you think I can still calmly drink tea after seeing you?" Qin Chu knew very well that it would be difficult to maintain a calm state of mind the next time he saw Shang Ruoyu.
"I don't care if you're calm or not. Oh, right, you came to see me because you had something, didn't you?" Shang Ruoyu asked Qin Chu, knowing he must have had something, but it was interrupted by other more important things.
Qin Chu then spoke of the abnormal actions of the Liu Family and his own conjectures.
"I can appear openly in Heavenly Sword City, but the White Tiger Sacred Clan cannot, so my information is not well-informed. You investigate! If you have any news, come find me. Of course, don't let your fiancée come with you," Shang Ruoyu said to Qin Chu.
"Then I'll be going!" Qin Chu said, looking at Shang Ruoyu.
"You're going back without a shower? I guarantee you'll be in trouble!" Shang Ruoyu said with a smile.
Qin Chu took a shower, received a hug from Shang Ruoyu, and then left the inn.
Instead of going straight home, Qin Chu went to the tavern where he had met Su Mu and ordered a jar of wine.
Qin Chu felt he had been too impulsive. This matter had occurred again and again, and it wasn't a misunderstanding; he had a subjective problem. He couldn't tell Shang Shuyu about this. Fortunately, Shang Ruoyu said she wouldn't ruin his marriage.
In the inn, Shang Ruoyu showered and looked at herself. She felt it was normal for Qin Chu to be infatuated with her. Of course, this also had a lot to do with Qin Chu currently only having an intimate relationship with her. He wasn't getting any at home, so he was quite hungry!
After drinking a jar of wine, Qin Chu returned to Vermilion Bird Villa.
Upon returning to his courtyard, Qin Chu saw Shang Shuyu and Qin Lingxi waiting.
"You've been drinking?" Qin Lingxi asked, looking at Qin Chu.
"Yes, I spent some time at the small tavern where I met Senior Su Mu. Aunt, are you not busy today?" Qin Chu said after sitting down.
"Not busy. You shouldn't run around too much lately. The wedding date is getting closer, and guests will be arriving, so you need to receive them! The wedding will be held here at Vermilion Bird Villa. A little later, we'll book the teahouse and inn across the way for a period of time," Qin Lingxi said to Qin Chu.
After a brief chat with Qin Chu, Qin Lingxi left.
"Qin Chu, was it smooth?" Shang Shuyu asked, looking at Qin Chu.
"Smooth. She told me to inform her if there's any news about Qi Qingqing," Qin Chu said.
"Does she like you? This is putting pressure on you, otherwise, you wouldn't have gone drinking," Shang Shuyu sighed.
