Chapter 103: inch strength

When Lin Fan just returned to his hometown from Gaohe, he signed up for a lot of classes to distract himself.

Some are learning foreign languages, some are learning to play the piano, some are learning to paint, and there is also a gym.

After two months of gym training, she felt that the exercise was not very meaningful to her, so she turned to a martial arts school and learned some traditional routines and the basics of free fighting.

"Why did you suddenly think of practicing this?" Li Chunhua asked curiously while punching a sandbag nearby. "These days, it's usually children who are sent to martial arts schools for training, right?"

Lin Fan was 32 when she went there. It was very rare for a woman of this age to go to a martial arts gym.

"I didn't think too much about it at first. I just wanted to keep myself busy and fill my time so I wouldn't have time for random thoughts." Lin Fan threw a straight punch. "Later, I realized Sanda was more protective than just running or weightlifting."

"Focus!" Song Ren stopped the two from chatting, helped Lin Fan correct her movements, and asked her to continue hitting the sandbag.

The two dared not say anything more, and only the sound of "bang bang" could be heard in the training room.

Lin Fan had learned the moves, and although it had been a few years and not as standard, he quickly got the hang of it after Song Ren corrected him several times.

The recent muscle training has been quite effective, and Lin Fan's strength is gradually increasing.

In order to prevent the sandbag from swaying left and right after being hit by her, Song Ren held it with one hand from behind, so that every blow from Lin Fan could hit the real target.

After throwing 200 straight punches with both hands, Lin Fan's arms felt hot and numb, and he felt like he couldn't lift them anymore.

Song Ren could tell from the blows that she had no strength left, so he let her rest for ten minutes.

Lin Fan took off his heavy boxing gloves, shook his pale hands, flexed his fingers, and tried to unscrew the bottle cap. Unfortunately, he failed after several attempts.

Li Chunhua happened to be resting nearby. Seeing how hard she was struggling, she took the water bottle from her hand and helped her unscrew it.

"Here." Li Chunhua handed the water to Lin Fan and wiped the sweat off her face. "You played pretty well just now."

Lin Fan glanced at him.

The two people's sandbags were next to each other, and Li Chunhua's punches hit the target. The sound of "bang bang" was so different from her weak punches.

"What's with that expression on your face?" Li Chunhua sipped her water. "I'm telling the truth. For the first time, you're a really good fighter."

Lin Fan's posture is standard, although his strength is not enough, but these can be changed through continuous practice in the future.

"This isn't my first time either." Lin Fan was talking about her previous experience in the martial arts gym.

"It's been so long. The body has memories, sure, but after so long, your body's memories have long since faded. It's like the first time." Li Chunhua took another sip of water. "I'm counting on you."

Lin Fan screwed the cap back on and asked Li Chunhua, "How long will it take to reach your level?"

People are like this. When they first start, they always want to use time to determine the distance between themselves and a higher level.

"Hmm... that's hard to say." Li Chunhua scratched his head. "I joined the army when I was 19 and have been training ever since. It's hard to say how long it will take to become like this."

"Are all the people in the reserve team like you?" Lin Fan asked again. She had seen many groups of reserve team members recently.

"That's not true. Most people can't reach my level." Li Chunhua said with pride, "I'm one of the better players in the reserve team, probably in the top five."

"So powerful?" Lin Fan didn't expect that Li Chunhua, who looked so noisy, was so powerful.

"Hey! Not that powerful." Li Chunhua scratched his head a little embarrassedly. "Our boss is the real powerful one. My skills are nothing compared to his. Boss, let us see your straight punch."

He suddenly shouted to Song Ren who was doing other exercises on the equipment.

Seeing Lin Fan looking over, Song Ren didn't refuse. He finished his movements slowly and steadily walked over to the sandbag. Without even putting on gloves, he punched the bag directly.

Lin Fan is an outsider and doesn't understand the ins and outs.

Just look at his powerful punches, his arms leaving afterimages, the dense frequency of his strikes, "bang bang bang" hitting the sandbag without interruption, the sound is heavy and muffled.

The sandbags that were swaying left and right in her and Li Chunhua's hands were only shaking slightly.

"How is it? Awesome, right?" Li Chunhua hadn't seen Song Ren boxing for a long time, and she was very jealous.

Lin Fan took a deep breath and realized that he had forgotten to breathe. "Amazing!"

"Do you know what's the most amazing thing?" Li Chunhua looked as if he wanted to teach her something.

"Where is it?" Lin Fan asked.

Fast? It seems to be more than just fast. She couldn't put it into words, but she felt that Song Ren's strength was not only in the speed of his punches.

"The most amazing thing is that the sandbag didn't move!" Li Chunhua smiled meaningfully.

"Yes, why doesn't the sandbag move?" With his hint, Lin Fan finally discovered the abnormality.

When she hit the sandbag, her force was obviously not great and the sandbag would sway from side to side. When she punched, she always felt that she was not able to exert any strength and had to rely on Song Ren to support her from behind so that she could hit the real target.

When Li Chunhua hits the sandbag, the sandbag will shake, and he will seize the opportunity and hit it hard again when the sandbag comes.

And Song Ren, judging from the sounds, was clearly stronger and faster than Li Chunhua, so why was the sandbag only shaking slightly, so slightly that it could be ignored?

Lin Fan looked at Li Chunhua, looking for advice.

"That's because the boss used inch force." Li Chunhua said proudly.

Inch power? Lin Fan seemed to have heard of it in a movie. "Wing Chun?"

"The short bridge hand in Wing Chun uses inch force," Li Chunhua nodded. "It's about suddenly accelerating muscle contraction at the moment the movement is completed, releasing a short, sharp burst of force."

"Don't be fooled by the sound of it. Timing is tricky." Seeing Lin Fan's confusion, Li Chunhua continued to explain, "Look at the boss hitting the sandbag. He relaxes when he's about to throw the punch, then suddenly accelerates and explodes when he's about to land the punch. He hits the sandbag when it's not paying attention."

Saying that you hit the sandbag without paying attention? This is a very vivid description.

"So the sandbag didn't move because it didn't react?" Lin Fan asked, following his statement.

"Don't be fooled by the sandbag, as it seems like it's not moving. The inside must be shattered..." Li Chunhua said, shaking his head. "But the sandbag is already full of broken pieces, so you can't see it. Anyway, if it was something else, like a door panel, it would have shattered with the first punch."

"So powerful?" Lin Fan was surprised.

"Yes, Inch Power may not seem very powerful, but it's incredibly lethal," Li Chunhua said. "When masters clash, the one who uses Inch Power is more likely to gain the upper hand. He can launch compact attacks at very close range. Ordinary people can't handle that."

Lin Fan thought of the scene in the movie and felt that it was the same.

She looked at the smug Li Chunhua and asked a question that touched her heart.

"Then do you have inch strength?"

Little Leo is so pitiful. Vote for encouragement
