Chapter 169: Return to training

When Song Ren got off the plane at the airport in the neighboring city closest to Guang'an, he received a call from Jin Sichen, saying that he had finished his work and asked where they were now.

When I learned that several people had already returned, I felt a little regretful and said that I would come back to meet up with everyone in two days.

It was still the logistics department's car that took the five people back to the research institute.

After being away for half a month, Lin Fan felt a sense of familiarity, similar to returning home, when he saw the mountain path again.

Because they brought back a lot of things, they spent a lot of time doing security checks at the checkpoints.

The logistics staff didn't drive away immediately, but waited for them considerately. After the security check, they drove them all the way to the villa area.

The dormitory has been empty for half a month and it's cold and deserted.

The first thing Lin Fan did when he entered the house was to turn on the air conditioner.

After living in a heated house in Harbin for a few days, she suddenly found it difficult to adapt to an environment without heating.

I used to rely on clothes to physically resist the cold and only turned on the air conditioner in the bedroom, but now I turn on the heating of the whole house without thinking.

Everyone brought a lot of things, and it took quite a while to pack them up.

Especially Lin Fan.

Several large bags of clothing were unpacked and inspected at security. Given her obsessive-compulsive nature, it would take quite a while to clean them all.

So Li Chunhua started running errands again after a long absence, and worked hard to help several people get dinner from the cafeteria and eat in the dormitory.

When Song Ren applied for a logistics vehicle to pick him up at the airport, he also asked Yu Guangli, the team leader of 623, for leave.

The news we received was that the new mecha wasn't finished yet, and the lab was still sealed. However, the new training program was already in place in the original lab in the office building.

The next morning, several people excitedly rushed to the office building and found that the original laboratory furnishings had been completely changed.

On one side, there were a few single-person tables and chairs, resembling a simple classroom. On the other side, beneath the electronic screen, four large boxes were placed side by side.

A few people came closer to take a look, but did not dare to touch it.

After walking around, I couldn't make out anything except the smooth metal shell and the huge cables on the ground.

"What is this?" Li Chunhua couldn't help but speak out.

"It's your mecha simulation control training cabin." A voice came from the door.

Everyone looked back and saw Xia Jing standing at the door with a smile on his face.

"Huh? You're not locked up in the laboratory in the underground fortress?" Li Chunhua asked in surprise.

Didn't they say that all project members were closed for work? Why was Xia Jing, who was in charge of the system, here?

"No. The system has been perfected long ago. The ones sealed in the lab are the ones responsible for casting." Xia Jing walked in slowly, holding a stack of documents. "I will need to debug the new mecha after it is assembled."

He walked to the metal warehouse, turned on the switch, and the hatch opened upwards, revealing the soft wrapping material inside that was exactly the same as Fu Guang's.

"This is a complete replica of the internal structure of the bionic armor. When you can't use the real machine, you can train on it." Xia Jing looked at them and smiled.

"Bionic Armor?" Song Ren raised an eyebrow. "Has the name been officially changed?"

He had previously explained to Lin Fan that the new mecha had been called a wearable mecha within 623. He had also said that it was a temporary name and might be changed later, and now it had indeed been changed.

"Yes, that's what Vice Chairman Xie decided. He said Xingchen is a biological mecha, so a mecha modeled after Xingchen should be called a bio-mimicking mecha," Xia Jing explained. "Besides, wearable mechas have existed for a long time. He felt that simply distinguishing them by model number didn't reflect their importance."

Several people nodded to show that they understood.

"I was wondering why there were only four of us. We are five people. It turns out Lin Fan can't use them." After Li Chunhua knew it was a training cabin, his first reaction was to wonder why there was one missing.

On second thought, it was right not to have it. Lin Fan’s weak physique made it impossible for him to get on the plane.

"In addition to practical training, we've also added academic lessons for you," Xia Jing said, handing the folder to the group. "You should have already read the basic theory of mechas. Here's an explanation of the bionic armor's power system and simple troubleshooting."

A few people took it and looked at it, and found that the folder contained only study plans and categories.

"Where are the materials?" Ji Yu asked as he quickly flipped through the contents of the document.

"Here." Xia Jing pointed to the shelf in the corner where there were piles of documents.

They didn't notice it when they first came in and thought it was something left over from the previous laboratory.

Xia Jing explained to several people how to use the training chamber and told them that the theoretical knowledge would be explained to them by different researchers.

Currently, the laboratory is closed and remote teaching will be conducted through the large screen on the wall.

This idle laboratory has officially changed its use and become a study room.

After finishing the business, Xia Jing also specifically asked about Lin Fan's recent situation.

As soon as he came in, he discovered that Lin Fan was not wearing the reserve team uniform today, but was wearing casual clothes and had makeup on his face.

Even though he didn't know much about psychology, he could still tell with his own eyes that Lin Fan's condition was much better than before he left.

"By the way, Dr. Xiao asked you to go to her for a physical examination after you come back." After Xia Jing finished the greetings, he suddenly remembered and reminded her.

"Yes, I'm just about to go." Song Ren nodded and took a few people to the medical room.

The medical trio was waiting in the office.

Especially Dr. Xiao and Wu Yi, they were very surprised to see Lin Fan's appearance today, and they couldn't help but praise him.

I quickly completed the physical examinations for the five people. Everything else was fine, except for one thing...

"Lin Fan has lost weight." Doctor Xiao sighed while holding the report.

"It's not convenient outside after all. Now that we're back, we can adjust our diet and exercise." Song Ren has already arranged a training plan for them.

It was clearly just a plain narration, but after hearing it, Lin Fan and the others all felt that the good days were gone forever.

Sure enough, in the training room in the afternoon, everyone once again felt the long-lost torture.

Li Chunhua and the other two were fine. They went running every day, so they did get some exercise.

Lin Fan was not so good. In order to prevent herself from losing weight, she stopped exercising before going to Gaohe.

After such a long time, I suddenly started training again. You can imagine how painful it was.

Although the intensity was not as high as before, several people still felt tired.

They gritted their teeth and persevered, while complaining in their hearts that this was the price of taking a long vacation!

The next day was Saturday.

For the five people who had just rested for half a month, it was meaningless. If they wanted to recover quickly, they naturally couldn't follow their usual schedule.

Every morning, they first go to the training cabin to practice operations for two hours. At 10:30, they receive a video lecture, which lasts for an hour and a half.

The rest of the afternoon was spent training, first running a few laps around the playground, then spending time in the training room until dark.

Lin Fan initially wanted to watch the training in the simulation chamber.

But once the lid was closed, people outside couldn't see anything, so she could only go back to her activity room to have fun.

During the video class, Lin Fan would come over from time to time depending on his mood.

Sometimes she sat in on the class, and sometimes she just wanted to be with the other four, sitting around reading magazines, playing games, or doing her own thing.

Because there were no requirements for her, the lecturers took care of her.

Ten days after returning, everyone's physical fitness has finally almost recovered to the level before the holiday, and they have also quickly absorbed a lot of new knowledge.

On this day, the laboratory was unsealed.

The new bionic armor is completed.

I didn't write for two days because the temperature suddenly dropped, and I was busy with the changing seasons and work. When I started writing again two days later, that feeling suddenly disappeared. Oops, maybe I just can't organize the plot properly. Cheer up. There are only three people voting every day, and one of them is me. Haha, I won't call for votes anymore. I'm tired.
