After a few rounds, Zheng Qing's glass was empty again.
"Where do I get a refill?" He grabbed Zhang Jixin, who was in high spirits and looking for someone to clink glasses with, and asked.
"Over there, find those Multi-Armed Race people." Zhang Jixin, with blurry eyes, pointed to the stone bars on both sides of the hall and grinned, "They'll all understand what you mean, don't worry!"
The bartenders employed by the bar were Multi-Armed Race from another planet.
This was the first time Zheng Qing had seen a living alien.
As far as he knew, this race had arrived on Earth a long time ago. Their presence could be found in many major events in world history. Because they belonged to the Chordata, Primate, Hominidae, and had relatively gentle dispositions, they maintained a good and stable relationship with the Wizard Alliance.
The Multi-Armed Race's appearance did not differ much from humans, except their ears were relatively smaller, like two round Go pieces. Correspondingly, their hearing was extremely poor, forming a sharp contrast with their acute sense of touch.
Just like their racial name, the Multi-Armed Race were most famous for their multiple arms.
Every Multi-Armed Race individual was born with only one arm, and as their age and abilities continuously increased, they would gain more and more arms.
Legend has it that the famous Thousand-Armed Guanyin in the White Dings World was a powerful Multi-Armed Race individual.
Of course, most Multi-Armed Race individuals did not achieve such outstanding accomplishments. However, with their racial talent of being able to perform multiple operations simultaneously, they were very popular in the Wizarding World.
Especially in places that required skilled hands, such as laboratories, Alchemy workshops, bars, and restaurants.
The Multi-Armed Race bartender in front of Zheng Qing had six arms.
At this moment, his two front arms were calmly wiping a glass, his two side arms were greeting other customers, and his two back arms were organizing the bottles in the liquor cabinet.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" The Multi-Armed Race bartender's voice was very magnetic, as if it came with a built-in echo.
Zheng Qing was not sure if this was due to the Formation on Buji Island or if the Multi-Armed Race's voice was naturally so unique.
Buji Island gathered Wizards of different races from all over the world, and even many alien envoys and otherworldly travelers.
Initially, communication among Wizards of different races and origins, speaking different languages, was extremely difficult, causing the Order on the island to fall into chaos for a time.
This was something First University could not tolerate.
With the cooperation of several Great Wizards, First University set up a 'Universal Knowledge Formation' covering the entire Buji Island. The Formation embedded every language registered with the Wizard Alliance, providing active translation for all personnel communicating on the island, so that every language Wizards on the island heard would be converted into their mother tongue.
However, for alien visitors like the Multi-Armed Race and Duona people, due to significant language differences, the Universal Knowledge Formation would experience some formatting redundancies during translation, causing sound distortion.
This small flaw was briefly described in "Into First University," and Zheng Qing remembered it very clearly.
The voice of the Multi-Armed Race bartender in front of him might be the Formation flaw mentioned in the book.
"A mist wine, please!" Zheng Qing approached the bar, sat on a high stool, and called out to the tall Multi-Armed Race individual.
The Multi-Armed Race bartender smiled gently and took out a clean glass.
Two hands reached out from behind him, one holding tongs with ice cubes, and the other holding a fruit plate with sliced lemons.
A metal grater was placed over the glass, and the ice cubes were placed on the grater; then, he squeezed the lemon, dripping a few drops of lemon juice onto the ice cubes.
Next, the bartender pulled down a soft tube from above his head and flipped a switch.
A stream of white mist rushed through the tube opening, over the ice cubes, through the metal grater, and into the glass, then swirled and formed a cloud.
The ice cubes on the metal grater vaporized the moment the white mist passed through, dissolving into the Qi of the wine in the glass.
Zheng Qing watched the scene before him, marveling.
"Your mist wine, please enjoy." The Multi-Armed Race bartender smiled and handed the glass to Zheng Qing.
"I'll have one too!" A crisp voice rang in his ear.
Zheng Qing turned his head and saw a small figure.
It was Li Meng.
She still had her pigtails and wore a dress and small leather shoes of the same style as those on the private plane. However, the color of her dress had changed to crimson, and her small leather shoes had become orange-red.
Seeing Zheng Qing, the little girl wrinkled her nose, rolled her eyes, and snorted unhappily:
"Liar!"
Zheng Qing gave a wry smile.
Ever since she learned of his Publicly Funded Student status, the little girl had never given him a good look.
If it weren't for the exaggerated, baseless rumors in the University, she might even have led a group of female students to confront him.
Li Meng hugged a Plush Bear, pouted, and stood on tiptoe, leaning against the bar.
The bartender behind the bar could only see half of her head.
"Minors cannot drink alcohol." The bartender smiled and handed Li Meng a glass of juice: "How about I treat you to some guava juice?"
"No!" The little girl drew out her words, saying in a warning tone, "Are you discriminating against short people? I'm a University student... Be careful or I'll complain about you! I saw a suggestion book at the bar entrance."
Zheng Qing burst out laughing.
Li Meng glared at him threateningly, then her eyes darted, pointing at Zheng Qing, and she said to the bartender again, "If you don't believe me, ask him, he and I are classmates!"
The bartender frowned and looked at Zheng Qing.
Zheng Qing hadn't expected to be caught in the crossfire just by standing there having a drink.
But looking at Li Meng's narrowed eyes, he finally considered and affirmed, "She is indeed my classmate."
"That's more like it!" The little girl patted Zheng Qing's back with satisfaction.
Pat, pat, pat, it was quite loud.
Zheng Qing added with a wry smile, "You can give her the lowest proof alcohol... The lower, the better."
The bartender sighed, took out a glass, re-set the metal grater, and placed three ice cubes on it.
Then he hesitated and added two more.
When dripping lemon onto the ice cubes, he also squeezed a large amount with great effort.
"Why are you still carrying a bear?"
Seeing the Multi-Armed Race bartender's understanding actions, Zheng Qing quickly changed the subject, wanting to divert Li Meng's attention.
"It's not a bear, its name is Li Neng!" Perhaps because she was a little tired, Li Meng finally stopped standing on tiptoe to supervise the bartender making her drink.
She raised the Plush Bear in her arms, rubbed it hard, and hummed, "This is Li Meng's Older Cousin's pet."
Li Meng's Older Cousin was Jiang Yu.
Zheng Qing couldn't imagine the aloof Class Monitor Jiang using such a silly and cute plush doll as a pet.
"Which Older Cousin?" He hesitated, asking what he thought was a very appropriate question.
"I only have one Older Cousin!" Li Meng's face fell again: "It's the third-place person you suppressed! Our Class Monitor, Jiang Yu!"
Zheng Qing coughed violently, looked around guiltily, his face flushed red.
Fortunately, there was no one else.
Children's words are innocent, children's words are innocent.
He silently told himself.
