Chapter 71: Level three warning and unknown punishment

When the Patrol arrived, several Nine Provinces College freshmen were dusting themselves off, while several Alpha Academy upperclassmen lay on the ground, bruised and swollen, in various postures, held down by a pile of yellow Talismans, unable to move.

After a brief investigation, the Patrol captain expressionlessly informed the professors on duty from the respective colleges to pick up their students.

"Will there be trouble?" Zheng Qing nervously looked at Xiao Xiao.

"Only thinking about it now?" Xiao Xiao sneered, adjusting his black-rimmed glasses, the cracks on the frame clearly visible.

Zheng Qing looked at the others.

Lin Guo was hiding behind his own horned Black Sheep, completely unharmed.

Although he was the instigator of the conflict, no second-year white-robed student actually went after him.

Lan Que had a dark bruise around one eye and a slightly cut lip.

However, these minor injuries on his handsome face added a unique charm.

The girls watching on the small street stared at him intently, whispering to each other, their eyes sparkling.

Meanwhile, the surrounding boys focused their gaze on the beautiful woman in a short skirt with wine-red wavy hair.

Zheng Qing was no exception.

He had an impression of this beauty.

On the special plane, this beauty sat opposite the young monk Shi Yuan and slept the entire way.

He had regretted not being able to talk to her before.

Maybe now was a good chance to get acquainted? Zheng Qing licked his lips, hesitating.

"That girl you can't take your eyes off is a Gypsy Witch, an exchange student from Europe." Xiao Xiao took off his glasses and carefully examined the cracks on them, his tone as calm as still water.

"No wonder her card tricks are so flashy," Zheng Qing mumbled, shifting his gaze.

"Gypsy Witches are a very ancient branch of the European witch lineage, skilled in divination and herbal medicine. They are secretive in their movements, have a very narrow social circle, wander across various European countries year-round, and only interact with a limited number of Wizard Towers. Their presence is rarely seen in the Wizard Council. In fact, I'm also very curious why there's a Gypsy Witch among this year's First University freshmen."

"Freshman!" Zheng Qing's gaze was once again drawn to that graceful figure; he had almost thought this witch was an Assistant Teacher at the school.

"Unfortunately, she's here as an exchange student to study at First University for only one year. If you have any ideas, I personally advise you to be cautious."

"I see." Zheng Qing felt a bit regretful.

The wine-red haired beauty pulled out an ID, and after the Patrol verified it, they let her leave.

Perhaps this was the privilege of international students.

Professors from Starry Sky Academy and Alpha Academy also rushed over to collect their respective students.

The onlookers had long since dispersed. In a short while, only the three Nine Provinces College freshmen were left on the street, braving the cold wind.

After more than half an hour, a chubby male professor finally rushed over.

Zheng Qing also remembered this fat professor; he had assigned groups to freshmen in the First Hall.

Zheng Qing remembered this Professor's surname was An.

"I'm so sorry, it's freshman orientation today, so there's a lot going on. You've worked hard." Professor An grabbed the Patrol captain's hand and shook it vigorously.

"It's alright, safety is important."

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the Patrol captain asked Professor An to sign the incident report form.

Before leaving, the Patrol captain, who had maintained a stern face, once again solemnly warned the newcomers:

"Perhaps the atmosphere outside is more modern. But I must emphasize, First University, especially Nine Provinces College, is an old-fashioned school. If you wish to duel, submit an application to the Student Union, and then draw your spell books under the watchful eyes of the Assistant Teachers. That is the proper procedure. Otherwise, keep your hands in your pockets, understand?"

The freshmen nodded repeatedly, silently.

When there was no one else around, Professor An, who had been wearing a gentle smile, finally changed his expression:

"Never seen this before! Never seen this before!"

"Before even entering the classroom, you dare to fight with upperclassmen!"

"If this continues for a year or so, what will happen!!"

"Nine Provinces College has never had such reckless students! It's simply unbelievable! You should go to that rigid Starry Sky Academy!"

Zheng Qing carefully pressed his stomach, continuously inhaling.

He felt as if his ribs might have broken.

He had been struck by a punch from that tall Alpha Academy student earlier; although his arm had blocked it, the wild force still sent him tumbling several times.

Professor An, seeing this, frowned and stepped forward to touch and press, causing Zheng Qing to grimace in pain.

"Minor issue, just a fracture, not broken yet. No need for that 'about to die' expression." Professor An said with a stern face, pulling out his spell book and slapping Zheng Qing's stomach hard a few times: "Next time, if you don't have the ability, don't show off! If something happens, won't you call the Patrol? Who do you think you are? Luckily, they were just some second-generation rich kids from Alpha Academy. If the brats from Starry Sky Academy had made a move, you'd be lying in the School Hospital right now!"

A cool Qi flow spread out with the pat of the spell book, and the tearing pain quickly dissipated.

After taking a few shallow breaths and a few deep breaths, Zheng Qing expanded his chest, immediately looking at Professor An with admiration.

"You still have a lot to learn. You're young, don't be so impulsive! Everything can be discussed." The fat professor was quite pleased with this gaze, and his tone softened considerably.

The few troublemakers wisely remained silent, only nodding repeatedly.

"You rookies are very lucky; you didn't rashly pull out your spell books. Otherwise, the Patrol would have torn them apart immediately, ruining your future University life." Professor An's tone grew even gentler.

It wasn't that he didn't want to pull out his spell book, but that he hadn't learned how to use it yet. Zheng Qing silently complained in his heart, if only his spell book had a few Spells recorded, he wouldn't need to tear Talismans or throw punches.

However, from another perspective, punches were more satisfying.

"Even so, you still violated school regulations. The school will notify your counselors. The specific disciplinary action will be announced at the class meeting on the first weekend."

"What usually happens?" Zhang Jixin, who had shed his previous wild and dominant demeanor and now appeared honest and simple, asked nervously, looking at Professor An.

"Now you know to be scared?" The professor glared at him fiercely.

Zhang Jixin wore a fawning smile, looking embarrassed, and scratched his head.

"Perhaps you'll be sent to Shushan Library to organize books, or to Baicao Garden to pull weeds and remove insects, or the School Affairs Committee might ask you to help clear the silt from the bottom of Linzhong Lake. Or your counselor might directly assign you a tens of thousands of words report to write, making you copy the First University regulations ten times. All are possible." The fat professor spread his hands, shrugged, and looked regretfully at the newcomers: "But before all punishments, there will be a college-level three-tier warning. This is a certainty."

"What are the consequences of a three-tier warning?" Zhang Jixin asked softly.

"Most directly, your second-year promotion credits will need to be about 10% higher than the normal requirement." Professor An swept his gaze over them fiercely: "If the college's promotion rate this year is affected because of you guys, hmph hmph."

"We just couldn't stand it," Zheng Qing mumbled.

"I heard about it too." Professor An nodded with some comfort, his expression softening slightly: "It's those Alpha Academy brats who acted improperly; and you guys fought well, you didn't lose. Although it was somewhat unexpected, you ultimately won. Hey, a few Nine Provinces freshmen suppressing Alpha Academy second-year upperclassmen, the school will be quite a stir in a few days."

For some reason, the professor's chubby round face revealed a gloating expression.

Zheng Qing nodded, his eyebrows dancing.

Zhang Jixin beside him also grinned widely.

Xiao Xiao didn't speak, but he also lifted his head from his notebook, looking eagerly at the professor.

"I'm not finished yet!" Regretting having let slip too much, Professor An became furious upon seeing the boys' smug expressions, raising his spell book and tapping each of their heads heavily:

"Although your credits won't be deducted, in fact, you don't have any credits to be deducted. But you need to be mentally prepared, any punishment is possible, especially for you fresh rookies who just arrived and caused so much trouble."

"What about those Alpha Academy guys?"

"Every student will only and can only be handled by their own college. Alpha Academy is famously protective of its own. So, don't have too high expectations."
