Chapter 9: Super Rail Machine

Yang Yi rubbed his hands, excitedly staring at the materials before him.

Four slime blocks, bouncy like jelly; two detectors, their redstone eyes gleaming with intelligence; a lever, a regular block, a sticky piston, and two shimmering golden powered rails.

“Heh heh, rail duplicator, here I come!”

He meticulously built the rail duplicator according to his memory, finishing it in a moment.

He pulled the lever, and the device began to operate, continuously generating powered rails!

“It’s done!”

Yang Yi knew the value of powered rails; these things were made of pure gold, and just one consumed nearly a cubic meter of gold!

In a world of equivalent exchange, gold had a very high EMC value. With a Transmutation Table, a powered rail duplicator was essentially a money printer pro max version!

To increase efficiency, Yang Yi tried extending the slime blocks. Sure enough, the output of powered rails increased accordingly. Then, following the same template, he copied and pasted, and one rail duplicator after another appeared in the sky.

Hours later, a colossal structure appeared in the sky, occupying a full nine chunks! This was no ordinary rail duplicator; it was the crystallization of Yang Yi’s wisdom, a super-composite rail duplication device!

It included a large number of rail duplicators, item transportation devices, monster-prevention mechanisms, even disposable scaffolding (dismantled after use, never wasted), and a one-click switch extending below the device.

Standing beneath the device, Yang Yi felt as if he were in a waterfall of money. Every second, powered rails rained down like drops, and he unhesitatingly sold them to the Transmutation Table.

The EMC value on the Transmutation Table rocketed upwards, and Yang Yi’s heartbeat accelerated with it. He seemed to see countless amounts of Dark Matter beckoning to him.

The money for the collection device was quickly gathered. He synthesized Dark Matter, sold it, retrieved it, synthesized a Dark Matter Pedestal, sold it again... This cycle repeated with astonishing efficiency.

Before long, a brand new collection device appeared at the exit of the giant rail duplicator. It was like a greedy behemoth, devouring the endless stream of powered rails and converting them into massive amounts of EMC value.

“Haha, the preliminary preparations are finally complete!” Yang Yi shouted.

He looked at the roaring machine before him, calculating that once he had more EMC value, he would build a more advanced collection device.

For now, he needed to get a crucial piece of equipment first.

“Ring of the Zephyr, possessing the power of a storm, able to cosplay as Yasuo, and it can fly!” Yang Yi’s eyes sparkled.

This ring would allow him to be as free as the wind, soaring through the air. Although the Ring of the Zephyr could only push away projectiles like arrows and snowballs in flight mode, for Yang Yi, that was already enough.

What he valued most was the ring’s flying ability.

As for where the feathers came from, the chickens certainly played a part here too.

“Skyblock survival, how can I manage without flying?” Yang Yi muttered to himself, a longing smile on his face. He seemed to already see himself flying freely in the sky.

Putting on the ring, Yang Yi discovered it wasn't that simple; the abilities the ring granted him were not as limited as the description. Now he could clearly feel the presence of the wind and freely control the wind within a certain radius around him.

This feeling was incredibly magical. Closing his eyes, the surrounding wind seemed to become a part of Yang Yi’s body, replacing his senses, which only made him look forward to the effects of other divine artifacts even more.

Subsequently, the now-flying Yang Yi began to explore the surroundings of the sky island. He had been here for so long and hadn't yet properly explored the area around the sky island.

“Time to fly!” Yang Yi put on the Ring of the Zephyr, his chuunibyou spirit instantly overflowing. He struck what he considered a cool pose and shouted, “Hasagiii!”

His body floated lightly, and Yang Yi excitedly did a few flips in the air, like a fledgling bird, full of curiosity about everything around him.

This Ring of the Zephyr allowed him to break free from the constraints of the Zhongli Pool and freely explore the vast world!

“Let’s fly up first and see!” Yang Yi looked up at the sky, the sunlight warm on his face.

He activated the ring, and his body shot upwards with a whoosh, flying higher and higher, the surrounding air becoming increasingly thin.

“Oh my, why is the sun getting so blinding?” Yang Yi squinted, feeling like he was about to be roasted alive.

He flew for a long time, but apart from the increasingly strong light, he found nothing.

Continuing to fly upwards, a row of small bubbles, like those that appear after being in water for a long time, gradually appeared before Yang Yi’s eyes. Although there was no feeling of suffocation, Yang Yi still gave up on flying further up.

“There’s nothing up there, so it looks like I can only check out the surroundings.” Yang Yi adjusted his direction and flew towards the edge of the sky island. He was like a tireless bee, darting through the void, searching for new targets.

He didn’t know how long he had been flying; the empty blue background around him was almost dazzling Yang Yi’s eyes. Just as he was about to give up, a small black dot suddenly appeared in front of him.

“Is that… a village?!” Yang Yi rubbed his eyes, unable to believe his discovery. He quickly flew forward, and indeed, a small village floated quietly in the sky.

Houses, farmland, and a well were all present, only… it was deserted.

Yang Yi landed in the village and looked around. The houses were empty, and there was even a half-eaten cake on a table, giving the impression that the villagers had only just left.

The discovery of this village at least proved one thing: this world was not just the small sky island he was on; other landmasses existed!

“It seems this world is even bigger than I imagined!” Yang Yi’s eyes gleamed with excitement; he was already eager to explore more unknown areas.

“Upwards was a bust, and I’ve circled the surroundings, so let’s look downwards!” Yang Yi, back on his home island, took a deep breath and flew downwards.

As he descended, the light grew dimmer, and the surrounding temperature became colder. Yang Yi felt like he was falling into an endless abyss, and an inexplicable sense of fear welled up in his heart.

“What’s… what’s going on down here? Why do I have such an unsettling feeling?” Yang Yi’s voice trembled slightly. He tried to open his eyes wide, but he couldn’t see anything.

The surroundings were utterly silent, as if there was only endless darkness, but listening carefully, he seemed to hear countless voices softly murmuring, chaotic and disordered, like the whispers of an ancient god.

In just a few seconds, Yang Yi felt like he was suffocating, and his head was about to explode.

“No, I need to get back quickly!” Yang Yi fiercely activated the ring, and his body rapidly ascended. He flew back to the sky island as if fleeing for his life, gasping for air.

“Phew… that scared me to death, it’s too terrifying down there!” Yang Yi patted his chest, still shaken. The void in the real world caused extreme discomfort.

He decided that until he acquired invincible equipment and sets, he would absolutely not explore the void again.

However, thinking about the large amount of EMC value the rail duplicator must have provided him during his nearly day-long exploration time,

(A day is 24 hours, an MC game day is 20 minutes, so this is equivalent to dozens of days of resources in-game)

Yang Yi cheered up; it was time to spend.

Crafting Table, activate.
