Upon returning home, Feng Zheng placed the Chunin vest he received on his bed and began to inspect it.
The vest was similar to the one in the manga, green in color, with three scroll pouches on each side of the chest. The vest also came with a neck guard and extra padding on the shoulders. On its back was the Uzumaki Village symbol. The material of this vest was very tough, providing slight resistance against fire, lightning, weapon, and blunt force attacks.
Feng Zheng thought to himself.
“Not bad. Six scroll pouches plus minor defense. I wonder if I can engrave some Sealing Jutsu for storage on it. It would be convenient to have a simple way to summon hundreds of Exploding Tags.”
Feng Zheng looked at his current clothes and decided.
“I need to buy some new clothes too. My current ones feel a bit tight. I’ll probably need to buy new ones every year for the next few years. Speaking of clothes…”
Feng Zheng looked around his house. He had been there for almost seven years! He noticed quite a few cracks on the walls and even the ceiling. He thought.
“I might need to move to a new house too. Practicing wall walking indoors has caused quite a bit of damage to the walls! Not to mention, the house feels too small now. I wonder how much housing costs in this world.”
Feng Zheng decided to check later and then fell asleep.
Early the next morning, Feng Zheng arrived at the Training Grounds and began his training.
He increased the pressure seal used for training to its maximum of 60%. Soon, Feng Zheng and Mieko also joined in.
At six in the morning, an old man knocked on the door of the Hokage Office and walked in.
Homura Mitokado looked at Hiruzen and asked.
“Why did you notify me to come so early?”
Hiruzen looked at his friend and said.
“Starting today, I will be training three Chunin for a few days, and I’ll be leaving the official duties to you.”
Homura Mitokado’s eyelid twitched. He was annoyed and asked aggressively.
“Why do I have to do all this paperwork? I’m too old for this.”
Hiruzen chuckled and replied.
“You proposed the idea of rewarding the best performers in the academy, which made a great contribution to the Village, so this is also your reward.”
Homura Mitokado stared at Hiruzen. Both fell into a staring contest! A few minutes later, Homura Mitokado sighed.
He had heard that during the Chunin Exams, a Genin had asked Hiruzen for a reward. So he understood why Hiruzen was targeting him.
He replied.
“Alright, but don’t take too long.”
Hiruzen chuckled.
“They’re just kids. I’ll teach them a Ninjutsu, and it’ll be done quickly.”
Homura Mitokado nodded in agreement.
Unfortunately for Homura Mitokado, both he and Hiruzen overlooked a crucial aspect!
So he would be stuck with paperwork much longer than he anticipated.
Hiruzen explained some details to his friend before leaving.
Hiruzen wasn’t too worried, as Homura Mitokado, Utatane Koharu, and even Danzo Shimura sometimes took over his paperwork, especially during wartime. So they all knew how to handle it properly.
At seven o’clock, Hiruzen arrived at the Training Grounds and saw the three Chunin training diligently. He chuckled and muttered.
“If they can maintain this diligent spirit, they will have a bright future.”
Seeing the Hokage, the children stopped training, flickered in front of him, and greeted him good morning.
Hiruzen Sarutobi also wished them good morning and praised their efforts. He asked.
“So, have you decided which Jutsu you want to learn from me?”
Feng Zheng’s eyes sparkled! He was excited and thought.
“We can choose? That’s great!”
Mieko replied.
“I don’t want to learn any Ninjutsu. The Uchiha Library has every Ninjutsu.”
Hodaka also shook his head and said.
“I don’t want to learn any Ninjutsu either. I want to train my Taijutsu and master the Thirty-Two Palms technique.”
Feng Zheng looked at his teammates expressionlessly.
Hiruzen laughed. He looked at Mieko and said.
“Watch this.”
Hiruzen flickered fifty meters away, formed a few Hand Seals, and said.
“Fire Release: Hellfire Slap Jutsu!”
Feng Zheng unfolded his Chakra Field and observed carefully. Mieko and Hodaka activated their Sharingan and Byakugan, respectively.
They noticed a ring of fire forming around Hiruzen.
Instantly, the fire spread in all directions! In less than a second, the fire had spread to a radius of forty meters around Hiruzen.
There were three boulders in this area. All were split in half!
Where the fire passed, nothing was left on the ground. Even the soil turned black.
Although the fire was ten meters away from them, all three Chunin felt an insane heatwave!
Within five seconds, Feng Zheng and Hodaka both flickered backward. Five more seconds passed, and Mieko also flickered back.
Feng Zheng looked at the flames and exclaimed.
“It’s so hot!”
They were drenched in sweat.
Hodaka nodded and said.
“If I were hit by it, not even my bones might be left.”
Mieko was too shocked to speak. The Uchiha Clan prided themselves on their Fire Release Ninjutsu.
She had seen how powerful her parents and elders were. But she had never felt such hot flames!
Hiruzen smiled at their astonished expressions. He dispelled the Ninjutsu and flickered towards them. He said.
“As you heard, this Ninjutsu is called Fire Release: Hellfire Slap Jutsu. It is both defensive and offensive. I created it when I was young.”
He looked at Mieko and asked.
“Do you want to learn this Ninjutsu?”
Mieko obediently nodded.
Hiruzen smiled and looked at Hodaka. He said.
“I know you don’t like Ninjutsu, so I’ll teach you something that will help your Taijutsu. Watch carefully, this is a secret technique of your family.”
Chakra began to surge from the Chakra point in Hiruzen’s right hand. He pulled his arm back, then thrust it forward at an extremely high speed.
As his arm moved, a ‘vacuum shell’ formed in his hand. When he pushed his arm to its maximum extent, the vacuum shell shot towards a boulder.
The vacuum shell hit the boulder in the blink of an eye, punching a hole through the entire rock. It continued forward, also creating a hole in five trees behind the boulder!
The Chunin were shocked once again!
Hodaka had seen this technique before. But he was told that no one would teach him until he became a Jonin.
However, the Ninjutsu he saw his elders perform was far less lethal than what Hiruzen demonstrated. At most, it would only produce strong winds, causing a few leaves to fall from the trees.
Hiruzen said.
“This Taijutsu skill is Eight Trigrams Empty Palm, invented by the Hyuga Clan to enhance mid-range combat capabilities. It can be used for both offense and defense.”
Feng Zheng swallowed, thinking to himself.
“I remember reading that Hiruzen Sarutobi could perform all of Konoha’s Ninjutsu, including secret techniques! However, this doesn’t fully showcase Hiruzen Sarutobi’s strength. A more appropriate statement would be that Hiruzen Sarutobi can perform all techniques better than anyone else in Konoha Village!”
Hiruzen asked.
“Do you want to learn this Jutsu?”
Hodaka nodded immediately.
Hiruzen finally looked at Feng Zheng and asked.
“Feng Zheng, have you thought about what Ninjutsu you want to learn from me?”
Feng Zheng was still amazed by Hiruzen’s performance. He composed himself, nodded, and said.
“Yes, Hokage-sama.”
Hiruzen was a little surprised. But soon he thought.
“This child always knows what he wants. So it’s not strange for him to have an idea. I’m curious what Ninjutsu he wants to learn.”
Hiruzen asked.
“Feng Zheng, what Ninjutsu is it?”
Feng Zheng said with a serious expression.
“Hokage-sama, I want to learn the Flying Thunder God Technique used by the Second and Fourth Hokage.”
Hiruzen was delighted that the children were shocked by his abilities, but now he himself was shocked! Even Feng Zheng could easily see his shock and speechlessness!
Mieko and Hodaka were also shocked! They looked at Feng Zheng with dumbfounded expressions.
Feng Zheng maintained his serious expression, looking hopefully into Hiruzen Sarutobi’s eyes!
