The next day, Feng Zheng resumed his daily training.
A few days later, Feng Zheng was panting, but a wide smile was plastered on his face. The trees in front of him were already riddled with holes!
He exclaimed.
"Finally, I can use Vacuum Bullet Technique without Hand Seals!"
During these 11 days of training, Feng Zheng had already mastered Air Bullet Technique.
The Hand Seals for Vacuum Bullet Technique were the same as for Air Bullet Technique. After mastering Air Bullet Technique for a while, he was able to use Vacuum Bullet Technique without Hand Seals.
He practiced Vacuum Bullet Technique until he felt very proficient before starting to practice Infinite Breakthrough Technique.
Then, on the appointed day, he met with Eiji.
Eiji had already marked the entire plot. Eiji showed him the markings and told him where to dig and how deep.
Eiji and his employees cleared the area, eagerly anticipating watching Feng Zheng's performance.
In the past, they had witnessed some amazing feats.
Unfortunately, they were disappointed. They stood for several hours, watching Feng Zheng use Camp Technique hundreds of times to dig the hole.
In fact, most people got bored and left in disappointment.
Feng Zheng checked his work, then left the pit.
He walked up to Eiji, only to see him with a stunned expression. He asked.
"What's wrong?"
Eiji sighed and replied.
"Nothing."
Feng Zheng said.
"Please check if it's acceptable."
Eiji grumbled inwardly.
"How could something so slow go wrong?"
He said.
"It's fine, this way your construction cost can be reduced by 400,000 ryo, and I've also talked to a Seal Master, the final Sealing Jutsu price is 600,000 ryo, do you think that's acceptable?"
Feng Zheng nodded and asked.
"Can I watch when he carves the Sealing Jutsu?"
Eiji said.
"Of course, this is your house after all. I'll send a staff member to your house to inform you when the time comes."
Feng Zheng thanked him and returned to training.
The next afternoon, Feng Zheng was practicing Infinite Breakthrough Technique. He had already learned how to use it without any Hand Seals.
Due to its similarity to Great Breakthrough Technique, Feng Zheng quickly mastered it.
He was now practicing rapidly enhancing this Ninjutsu. But, he suddenly stopped cultivating and looked in one direction.
He thought to himself.
"Someone entered the Training Grounds? Who is it? The Chakra signature is very low. Either he is a very weak person, or he is good at hiding his Chakra."
Feng Zheng felt the person approaching him, so he stopped cultivating and waited to see who it was.
Before long, a young man in his early twenties appeared. He looked at Feng Zheng and asked.
"Hey, you're Feng Zheng, aren't you?"
Feng Zheng nodded and asked.
"Yes, who are you?"
He replied.
"I am Endō Tadao. I'm here to inform you to go to the mission center. They called you over."
Feng Zheng thought to himself.
"Are they finally giving me a mission? Is he a messenger or someone who works there?"
He replied.
"Okay, I'll go."
Tadao looked at Feng Zheng. He didn't seem to be leaving. He said.
"Can you go now? They want you to go immediately."
Feng Zheng sighed and said.
"Alright."
Tadao expected Feng Zheng to follow him back. However, Feng Zheng just disappeared! He was greatly surprised.
"What the hell? I just blinked, and he was gone!"
He immediately looked around but didn't see anyone. But he did witness the destruction Feng Zheng had caused to the Training Grounds. He muttered.
"He really just left. Shichirō was right about his skill and strength."
He turned and ran back to the Hokage Building.
Feng Zheng Body Flicker Technique to the Hokage Building. He entered the building and walked into the mission center.
Upon entering, he saw several Chunin working there. In addition, there were several Ninja, looking at Feng Zheng.
One of the Chunin stood up and called out to him. Feng Zheng recognized him. He was the one who assigned most of the bandit hunting missions to Renjiro Squad.
Feng Zheng walked towards him, noticing two other Ninja standing at his desk.
Shichirō said.
"Feng Zheng-kun, long time no see."
Feng Zheng nodded. Since the mission to the Land of Tea, he had not returned to this room to accept a mission.
Shichirō asked.
"Where's Tadao?"
Feng Zheng asked.
"The messenger? I'm not sure. He told me to come here, so I came."
Shichirō was dumbfounded. He sighed and said.
"He's not a messenger, he'll be your teammate for your next mission."
Feng Zheng thought to himself.
"Really? He looks weak. Did he hide his strength?"
Shichirō introduced the two Ninja next to him.
"This is Kuniyama Yasooka, and this is Ōka Kaneie, plus Endō Tadao, they will be your teammates. For this mission, you will be the leader of this team."
Feng Zheng's eyebrows twitched. He thought.
"Their Chakra levels are also very weak. Don't tell me..."
Shichirō took a document and handed it to Feng Zheng. Feng Zheng's face immediately darkened when he saw the title.
Shichirō said.
"Your mission is to eliminate this new bandit group; they have caused a lot of trouble."
Feng Zheng glanced at him and returned the document. He said.
"I'm not taking this mission. Call me when there's a Rank B mission."
Yasooka and Kaneie blushed with embarrassment. A child half their age actually refused to perform a mission that they couldn't complete without supervision!
Shichirō sighed and said.
"Feng Zheng, you just became a Chunin. Even if you were assigned a Rank B mission, you wouldn't be chosen as the leader; that role would be taken by a more experienced Chunin. You must take Rank C missions to develop your leadership skills. Only after leading many Rank C missions will you be capable of leading Rank B missions."
Feng Zheng observed Shichirō. He knew Shichirō wasn't entirely lying, but he also felt that what Shichirō said was complete nonsense!
The reason he was given this mission was just to amuse Shichirō by seeing Feng Zheng's reaction. Feng Zheng believed he would also give Hodaka and Mieko missions to eliminate bandits.
Feng Zheng was about to leave, but Shichirō stopped him and started giving various reasons for him to accept the mission. To get rid of him, Feng Zheng finally agreed.
However, he said.
"This is my last Rank C mission. The next time you assign me a bandit extermination mission, I'll falsify evidence and say you're their leader!"
Shichirō smiled and returned the document to him. Tadao finally returned to the mission center. He was breathing heavily.
Feng Zheng looked at his three new subordinates and asked.
"When are you leaving for the mission?"
Yasooka replied.
"We are ready to go anytime."
Feng Zheng said.
"Okay, we'll meet at the village gate in a few hours."
Feng Zheng left for lunch. Tadao, Yasooka, and Kaneie watched him leave.
Tadao asked.
"Are we too old?"
Kaneie retorted.
"Impossible! I'm not even married yet!"
Yasooka sighed at his teammates' comical display. He said.
"Well, at least he's strong, but he seems arrogant and doesn't take us seriously at all."
Shichirō smiled and patted him on the back. He said.
"Don't worry, he's reasonable, fair, and strong. As far as I know, he's even stronger than me, and he has the reputation of 'Bandit Exterminator'! You'll be fine."
Tadao, Yasooka, and Kaneie sighed. They knew they had been tricked by Shichirō.
All four of them were 22 years old. They were in the same grade at school and were good friends. Unfortunately, none of the three of them were very talented. They had never been promoted to Chunin and had given up.
They stayed together as a team, only occasionally taking Rank C missions for money and to stay in shape.
Shichirō was a bit more talented than them. He was promoted to Chunin during the Third Shinobi World War. But he grew tired of risking his life and chose an office job.
A few hours later, Feng Zheng and the three Genin gathered. Feng Zheng asked.
"Are the weapons and rations needed for the mission ready?"
When Feng Zheng asked this question, many people present were watching, and the three Genin all nodded awkwardly.
Feng Zheng asked.
"What are your specialties?"
Tadao said.
"I'm very good at throwing Shuriken, hitting the bullseye every time."
Yasooka said.
"I have mastered Water Release Chakra transformation."
Feng Zheng's expression didn't change, but he sneered inwardly.
"Mastered? Why don't you sign up as a candidate for Fifth Hokage?"
Kaneie said.
"I can carefully observe my surroundings and look for clues."
Feng Zheng nodded and said.
"Good, let's go."
But, Tadao stopped him.
"Wait, Feng Zheng, can you tell us your specialty?"
Feng Zheng stopped and turned around. He replied.
"I know a bit about Wind Release and Earth Release Chakra control, and I'm good at using clones."
After answering, he turned to leave.
The three were a bit surprised. They thought this pre-adolescent child would boast about his abilities. But, he didn't show off his strength at all!
They quickly followed him.
