Feng Zheng continued his thoughts.
"The sad thing is that this is a necessity. I hope I can reach Jonin level as soon as possible, because after that, I won't have to worry too much about Danzo trying to recruit me. By that stage, it would be too late to try and brainwash me."
Feng Zheng had originally planned to invite them to Ichiraku Ramen for a meal. However, he had had enough for the day, and they soon bid each other farewell and left.
Feng Zheng went to the Library. Now that he was a Genin, he could access Section C of the Library.
However, this was not why he came here. As a Ninja, he could check out a specific book.
He walked up to the librarian, showed his credentials, and asked, "May I see the 'wanted manual'?"
She was very surprised that a 10-year-old child asked her this question. But since he was a Ninja, she nodded and asked, "Do you want to see the small one or the large one?"
Now it was Feng Zheng's turn to be surprised. He asked, "What's the difference?"
She replied, "The small one only has names, bounties, affiliations, and some basic information, while the large one has more detailed information."
As soon as Feng Zheng heard this, he asked her to bring out the large one. She nodded and handed the large one to Feng Zheng.
Feng Zheng was stunned when he saw the book! His first thought was, "It's so big!"
He opened it and saw that, apparently, each page only contained information about one Ninja.
The book had 2,197 pages! Feng Zheng analyzed it and thought, "Well, that makes sense, there are over a hundred thousand Ninja in this world."
Then he silently thanked those who had created such a good index.
Everything was properly arranged alphabetically by Village and name.
There were also lists of Ninja sorted by their rank in the Village and by bounty in descending order.
After a few minutes of searching, he found the name he was looking for—Senju Renjiro.
He began to flip through the pages, but as he did, he suddenly thought, "It's interesting, I think my biggest advantage in this world is information. But considering how vast this world is, I don't think I have information on even one percent of the Ninja. Alas, besides Tsunade, I don't even know any other living members of the Senju Clan."
"Anyway, this information is very detailed. I'm surprised we can read it for free, but I think it makes sense. This information was compiled by the creators of the 'wanted manual', and since it's already public, why not let all Ninja read it for free?"
He opened the page and began to read, and he was very surprised by what he read.
His bounty was 45 million Ryo! It was even higher than Asuma's during Shippuden, and this bounty was issued by the Hidden Mist Village. He thought, "That's great, it seems Hiruzen did appoint a very capable person as my teacher."
He read further.
The information Feng Zheng received was:
Senju Renjiro, A-Rank, thirty-nine years old. Became a Genin at 8, a Chunin at 10, a Jonin at 16, and an Elite Jonin at 28.
He is skilled in Water Release Ninjutsu and Earth Release Ninjutsu, but can also use Ninjutsu of other elements. He is an excellent swordsman, having received sword training from samurai. He participated in the Second and Third Shinobi World War.
During the Third Shinobi World War, he served as Orochimaru's deputy on the Hidden Mist front. Later, when Orochimaru had to go to different battlefields, he became Konoha's Commander on the Hidden Mist front.
Due to his swordsmanship, skilled Water Release Ninjutsu, and his summoned sloth, he was very effective against Hidden Mist Ninja.
He killed 13 Hidden Mist Jonin and over 50 Hidden Mist Chunin during the war.
His greatest achievement was killing a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist in that war.
Although his army was defeated by a surprise attack from the Hidden Mist, he still managed to lead most of the army to retreat and held off the Hidden Mist until Konoha's Yellow Flash reinforced him and drove the Hidden Mist back to the sea.
After Feng Zheng finished reading, he thought, "My goodness! He's so strong. Although not Sannin level, he's very close. However, it says he was trained by samurai, so I guess Hiruzen specifically arranged him as my mentor. I'm curious about his summoned beast. This is the first time I've heard of a sloth. Isn't that a capital offense? But that sounds a bit too strong, and not something from this world. Well, I'll look it up later."
Then he checked the information of the Ninja he knew from naruto.
He breathed a sigh of relief, confirming that it was very similar to what he knew. He also gained a better understanding of the Ninja World. He thought, "Actually, Konoha is much stronger than what was shown in naruto. The fathers of Nara Shikaku, Inoichi Yamanaka, and Aburame Shibi are still alive and leading their clans. Each of them is an Elite Jonin, very close to S-Rank."
"But I guess their strength will weaken with age. Konoha currently only has 3 S-Rank Ninja in total. But Jiraiya is rarely in the Village, and Tsunade can barely fight. However, surprisingly or not, Danzo was not mentioned in the 'wanted manual'. And, Uchiha Fugaku very likely hid his Mangekyo, just like Uchiha Shisui."
"I don't know how many gates Might Guy can open, but if needed, he might be able to force himself to a level where he can compete with S-Rank Ninja. Also, it's surprising to see that Koharu and Homura are A-Rank Ninja. I don't remember them fighting in naruto."
"A total of 22 Elite Jonin from Konoha were mentioned in the 'wanted manual'. It's likely that some were not mentioned here, such as Danzo and others from Root. There are also some A-Rank Ninja who haven't become Elite Jonin yet, such as Kakashi and Might Guy."
He then sighed, "I didn't expect Konoha to have so many Elite Jonin. Despite this, Hiruzen still chose to sacrifice Hizashi. This makes me wonder how severe Konoha's losses were among lower-ranked Ninja due to the war. As for the other Villages, Kumogakure and Iwagakure are also strong, but at least in terms of Kage-level and Elite Jonin-level combat power, they are not as good as Konoha."
"Hidden Mist is actually very powerful as well, if many of their top Ninja hadn't been labeled as rogue Ninja. I think Obito has completely destroyed Hidden Mist. On the other hand, Sunagakure is performing very poorly. Their Kazekage is the weakest among the Five Kage. Although they still have two S-Rank Ninja, both are retired and very old. Their number of A-Rank Ninja is also very small."
He closed the book and thought, "Alright, that's enough information for now. I'll get more when I need it."
He returned the 'wanted manual' to the librarian and then went home.
