Chapter 7: School starts

Today was the first day of school.

Feng Zheng woke up at 5 AM, washed up, and started his morning exercises.

After finishing, he took a shower and ran to school.

School started at 8 AM. He was assigned to class 4A on the fourth floor.

Upon entering the classroom, he saw that many people had already arrived. There were already over 25 students there.

He walked in and sat on an empty bench.

He noticed that most of the people here were children from Ninja clans, wearing their family crests on their backs.

Feng Zheng was very puzzled.

“This classroom isn't big; it can hold forty people at most. Do we have more than ten classes in this grade?”

At 8 o'clock, Adachi Genki, the teacher, arrived.

He first handed out ID cards to everyone.

Then he introduced himself.

“Welcome to the school. I am Adachi Genki, and I will be your homeroom teacher this year. Let's get to know each other first. I am also a Konoha Chunin, and I participated in the last Ninja war. My hobby is watching plays, and I enjoy teaching young children like you. Now, you introduce yourselves.”

Then all the children started introducing themselves.

The children from the clans proudly spoke about their families.

Feng Zheng took the opportunity to understand the composition of his class.

There were 30 children in the class.

There were two Uchiha, three Hyuga, two each from Nara, Yamanaka, and Akimichi, three Inuzuka, one Aburame, one each from Sarutobi, Shimura, Kato, and Hatake. Surprisingly, there were also three Senju and two Kurama. The other 6 people, including Feng Zheng, were ordinary civilians.

After the students finished speaking, Genshu, the teacher, began to speak again. He said,

“Alright, I'll first tell you about your class. This year, 430 students passed the entrance exam, and you 30 are the ones with the highest scores, so everyone has very high expectations for each of you.”

“You must all strive to become very excellent and powerful Ninja, which is why the school assigned an Elite Ninja like me to your class.”

“Additionally, other teachers will also provide you with assistance when needed. You can also access sections E and D of the school Library. There will be a special test every six months, personally supervised by Hokage-sama, so work hard!”

After hearing these words, everyone felt a surge of pride and became more focused.

Feng Zheng thought to himself,

“My luck is good; this seems to be an elite classroom. Any questions should be resolved quickly.”

Also, those two areas of the Library should be the Rank E and Rank D ninjutsu areas.

Feng Zheng wondered if there were higher-level Ninjutsu areas and wanted to go see them.

Since it was the first day, Genshu, the teacher, took them on a tour of the school.

They visited all the classrooms, the Library, the Training Grounds, and the cafeteria area.

At the Training Grounds, various areas were introduced, such as the running track, obstacle course, shooting range, and a balance area with many poles.

There was also a small pond at the end of the Training Grounds.

After the tour, they returned to their classroom.

Genshu also explained what they would be learning this year. It was mainly foundational knowledge.

They would be studying Chakra, Hand Seals, Chakra control, Taijutsu, Genjutsu theory, Shuriken throwing, as well as regular subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, language, history, geography, and civics.

Afterward, the day's classes concluded.

After class, Feng Zheng quickly left and headed towards the Library.

On the way to the Library, he met Daisuke and Tatsuya.

Daisuke called out to him,

“Hey, Feng Zheng, how are you?”

Feng Zheng turned his head, saw him, and asked,

“Hey, how are you? How was class?”

Daisuke replied,

“It was interesting, we toured the whole school.”

Feng Zheng said,

“Yeah, us too. How many people are in your class?”

Daisuke said,

“Uh? One hundred, isn't every class like that?”

Tatsuya joined the conversation.

“Yes, my class is also like that.”

Feng Zheng said,

“I see, but our class only has thirty students.”

Daisuke asked,

“Uh, why is that?”

Feng Zheng didn't want him to feel bad, nor did he want to answer more questions, so he said he didn't know either.

Afterward, Daisuke asked Feng Zheng if he wanted to go home with them. Feng Zheng politely declined, citing other plans.

After parting ways with them, Feng Zheng started walking towards the Library again.

On the way, he grabbed a ration bar, eating it as he thought.

“I understand now. My class only has 30 students, while the other classes each have 100 students. So there are a total of 5 classes.”

According to what Adachi Genki said today, their class might receive special training, hoping that everyone becomes a Jonin, or at least an Elite Chunin.

For the other classes, the main goal might just be to increase the reserve of Genin.

If they are lucky, they might get some Chunin and Jonin from those classes.

Upon entering the Library, he showed his identification to the librarian and asked for directions.

After getting the information, he learned that the Library was divided into 7 sections.

There was a general section containing non-Ninja related information, Section 0 which began to contain basic Ninja-related information, and sections E, D, C, B, and A.

Sections A, B, and C were currently restricted to him.

Feng Zheng thought to himself,

“I see, that makes a lot of sense. There's no S section here, but it's understandable; they wouldn't make those high-level techniques public.”

Feng Zheng was surprised that there was an A section.

Anyway, he excitedly thought about exploring it first.

Feng Zheng skipped the general section and started from Section 0, browsing the titles of the various scrolls to understand their content.

He discovered many basic but important things.

Information related to Chakra theory, Chakra control, manipulation, nature manipulation, Sealing Technique, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, and more were all mentioned here.

It also contained a lot of historical information.

Then he continued to check Sections E and D, where most of the scrolls were Rank E and Rank D ninjutsu.

He thought in surprise,

“Wow, I didn't expect this! There are hundreds of different Ninjutsu scrolls here. And a lot of Wind Release Ninjutsu.”

Section E had a scroll titled 'Introduction to Sealing Jutsu,' while Section D had a better book of the same kind. This would be very helpful.

It took him over two hours just to browse through the titles of the various scrolls.

Subsequently, he returned to Section 0 and picked up a scroll titled 'Introduction to Hand Seals'.

Then he walked to a secluded corner and sat there.

There were very few people in the Library, so no one disturbed him.

Feng Zheng thought to himself,

“Alright, I've seen most of it. Now that I finally have some conditions, I need to make some plans, at least for the next few years.”
