Chapter 5: Sunset Red's Speculation

Kurenai Yuhi led a few people to the mission location.

In a small Village, there was a herd of wild boars crashing around everywhere.

"Teacher Kurenai, is our mission just to hunt wild boars?"

"That's right. During the fight, remember to try and minimize the damage the wild boars cause to the Village."

Inuzuka Kiba's face was full of disbelief: "This is too boring! I was hoping to fight Ninja from other countries and was all ready for a big battle."

Kurenai Yuhi shook her head slightly: "If you keep thinking like that, Kiba, you'll only get yourself killed on a mission."

Compared to Inuzuka Kiba, Hinata and Shino were much more resolute. Although they felt a huge sense of disappointment, they quickly went to drive away the wild boars. After all, this was their first mission, and they didn't want it to end in failure.

"I understand, Teacher Kurenai." Inuzuka Kiba quickly regained his fighting spirit and joined Hinata's ranks.

"Akamaru, let's go!"

"Woof!"

"Fang Passing Fang!"

Inuzuka Kiba and Akamaru spun at high speed, instantly transforming into two powerful, small tornadoes, killing several wild boars in an instant.

But at the same time, it enraged the remaining wild boars, causing them all to start charging wildly.

For a time, having to protect the houses in the Village and drive away the wild boars made them feel overwhelmed.

Just as Feng An and Kurenai Yuhi stood together watching from a high vantage point, a strong push came from behind.

"Don't think about slacking off," Kurenai Yuhi pushed him down.

Due to forward momentum, Feng An slid down the slope and rushed into the boar herd.

After steadying himself, he was about to curse a few words when he suddenly felt several gazes from the rampaging wild boars lock onto him.

Oink! Oink!

The wild boars grunted and charged towards Feng An.

Unfortunately, their speed was too slow, and their strength was not great. Compared to Hinata and the others, Feng An found it much simpler to deal with them.

With a punch and a kick, he could easily deal with the attacking wild boars even without using Ninjutsu.

The wild boars that were sent flying all ran off to find others, and Feng An returned to his relaxed state.

Kurenai Yuhi watched him with crossed arms, shaking her head: "This kid, why doesn't he have any fighting spirit?"

At the same time, she observed the situations of the other three.

Besides the slacker Feng An, Shino's performance was the best. His insect Ninjutsu allowed him to both protect the houses from damage and easily drive away and kill the wild boars.

Seeing Shino's performance, Kurenai Yuhi showed an expression of admiration:

"When faced with the situation of both protecting houses and driving away wild boars, he did very well in both."

She then noticed Inuzuka Kiba. With his and Akamaru's cooperation, the number of wild boars gradually decreased. Unfortunately, under his tornado, quite a few houses were affected and damaged.

"Kiba is too reckless."

Kurenai Yuhi shook her head when she saw him. She had even deliberately reminded him to try his best to protect the houses.

On the other side, Hinata, in order to better protect the houses, activated her Byakugan and chose a defensive counterattack. If any wild boar tried to damage a house, she would prioritize blocking it. The advantage of this was that she could better protect the houses, but at the same time, it consumed a lot of her stamina.

"It's very consistent with Hinata's personality, but it's unrealistic to try and protect all the houses with such indecisiveness."

Kurenai Yuhi had made initial judgments about all of them, so in future training, she could specifically strengthen the weaknesses they displayed.

Seeing Hinata in a predicament, Feng An quickly came to her side.

"I'll help you, Hinata."

Feng An saw the wild boar charging towards Hinata, and with a flash of his body, he punched the wild boar.

Bang!

The wild boar that took a punch couldn't even make a sound before it lost its breath, flying backward several meters.

Kurenai Yuhi, observing from the side, noticed the Chakra covering Feng An's hand, sometimes large and sometimes small, and murmured:

"Using Chakra to cover his fist? Although his mastery of Chakra isn't exquisite, for someone his age to think of using Chakra like this, why was his personal information at the Academy so unremarkable?"

Seeing Feng An come to her side, Hinata's tense body relaxed a little.

"Thank you..."

"Don't thank me again," Feng An stepped closer and ruffled her hair: "Let's take care of these wild boars together."

Hinata nodded: "Okay."

Feng An could tell that Hinata, who had been maintaining her Byakugan, was a bit tired, but he also knew that this shy girl, rather than him telling her to rest, would feel more acknowledged if he fought alongside her.

Hinata had always worked hard, but unfortunately, her talent was not outstanding, so much so that the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, which Hyuga Neji, a member of the branch family, mastered at thirteen, she could only barely perform at sixteen.

He noticed Hinata's chest rising and falling, and her Byakugan also showed signs of fading.

"It seems I need to speed up and deal with the remaining wild boars."

Feng An's movements were faster than before, swiftly moving through the wild boars, his fists covered in Chakra, each punch taking down one.

Seeing his fluid movements, Kurenai Yuhi's crimson eyes flickered slightly.

"Such speed! It already far surpasses most Chunin. I've truly found a treasure."

The more Feng An revealed about himself, the more Kurenai Yuhi doubted the underlying issues. She had also heard rumors within Konoha Village.

The demise of the Senju Clan, the demise of the Uchiha Clan, and the demise of the Uzumaki Clan, among others.

She looked at his bright red hair. Could he really be a descendant of the Uzumaki Clan? And thus deliberately suppressed by certain people?

Kurenai Yuhi shook her head. She couldn't dwell on such matters, nor could she ponder their ultimate purpose. The thoughts of those in the higher echelons were not for her to speculate upon.

Before long, the wild boars were all lying still, some dead, some having fled.

"Practical combat really does improve me more than just training at home."

Feng An looked at the Chakra he had condensed in his hand; its size was much more stable now.

If he were to release the Great Fireball Jutsu again in his current state, he would definitely be able to control the size of the fireball much better.

Hinata placed her small hand on her chest, which was rising and falling, and stood behind Feng An: "Thank you, Feng An, it's good that you're here..."

Feng An turned around, placed his hand on her head, and said in a joking tone: "If you keep thanking me, we'll become strangers, my lady."

Hinata suddenly raised her eyes to look at Feng An, opened her mouth but hadn't spoken yet, when her face was already completely red.

"Can you not call me 'my lady'? I like it when Feng An... calls me by my name."

After saying that, her eyes were a little red and swollen, and she quickly lowered her gaze again.

"This is the first time you've looked me in the eye," Feng An helped her smooth back the stray hairs on her cheeks, smiling: "If you promise not to always thank me, then I won't call you 'my lady' anymore."

"Okay," Hinata quickly raised her face and responded, but her eyes were still unfocused and she dared not meet his gaze, only looking below his neck.

Feng An smiled gently: "Hinata still sounds more natural."
