Chizhao knew the truth, but why did her heart still feel so shocked in this situation?
She opened her mouth, momentarily stunned, as if her emotional management system had fallen into chaos, unsure how to react.
Bai watched her dazed expression, a triumphant smile playing on his lips, and intimately rubbed his mouth against the back of her hand.
That sudden, unusual touch, like an electric current, jolted Chizhao back to reality. She hastily pulled her hand away and wrapped herself in the blankets.
What was wrong with Bai? This was too strange!
But Chizhao's reaction pleased Bai. He elegantly stood up, his pink kimono now exuding both masculine hormones and feminine charm, perfectly showcasing Bai's complete image.
He smiled gently, his hair falling over his shoulders, soft and flowing:
"That's right, you must remember that I am male. If you're not wary of me, it will be very dangerous."
At this moment, Chizhao's brain was overloaded.
He was the one who said he was a girl.
He was also the one who said he was a boy.
What exactly did he want to do?
Did our interactions make him uncomfortable?
Chizhao struggled to sit up, full of confusion:
"Bai, what's wrong? If I've done something wrong, you can tell me."
Bai shook his head, glanced at Chizhao again, and slowly walked to the door:
"Don't worry, you haven't done anything wrong. Get some rest early. I'll be with Zabuza tonight."
After he finished speaking, he opened the door, and as the sound of the door closing faded, along with his flowing black hair, Chizhao collapsed back onto the bed as if all her strength had been drained.
She covered her eyes with the back of her hand in resignation, letting out a soft sigh.
The events of today were truly too "rich."
But thankfully, Zabuza had already agreed to her plan, so Team 7 wouldn't have to fight them.
Turning off the lights in the room, Chizhao lay on the large bed, sinking into the vortex of darkness.
Her nerves, exhausted from the electric current, finally found complete relaxation at this moment, and she fell into a deep sleep, accompanied by the faint light outside the window.
......
When she woke up the next day, Bai was not in the room. Chizhao, fully equipped, stood outside Zabuza's door and slowly pushed open the slightly ajar door. She saw Bai, back in his previous attire, wearing his Hidden Mist mask, standing in the room with Zabuza, who was carrying his Kubikiribocho, both looking at her as if they had been waiting for a long time.
"Finally here? I'm getting impatient."
Zabuza swung his Kubikiribocho, and the fierce blade energy rushed towards Chizhao, stirring the hair on her forehead.
Chizhao put her hands behind her back, gripping the hilt of her blade, and smiled slightly: "I'm always on time, never late."
"In that case, let's start quickly. I also want to stretch my muscles and bones."
Zabuza twisted his neck, making a clearly audible cracking sound.
"Mr. Zabuza, please be careful." Bai slowly retreated to the side, making enough space for the two of them.
Seeing Bai retreat to the corner, Chizhao also drew her cang luan blade and quickly moved forward, clashing with Zabuza.
"Then, please guide me."
The sound of weapons clashing in the house was incessant. Several of Gato's subordinates stationed there quietly gathered outside the house, holding walkie-talkies and intermittently reporting the situation to the other end.
The battle inside the house was extremely fierce, with even the outer walls showing terrifying cracks.
"Boom!"
A huge explosion suddenly enveloped the building.
The roar, like a thunderbolt, sent flames soaring. The scorching air blast sent the subordinates outside flying; some were directly thrown back and slammed into the wall, falling unconscious.
Furniture was shattered by the impact of the explosion, and fragments flew everywhere like meteors, hitting walls and the ground with crackling sounds.
Smoke and dust filled the entire building, making it feel as if one were in a chaotic mist, unable to see the surroundings clearly.
Several surviving subordinates of Gato cautiously walked inside, only to see that the once-peaceful room had now become a chaotic battlefield. The glass outside had collapsed, the pungent smell of gunpowder slowly dissipated, and the debris covering the ground everywhere highlighted the astonishing destructive power of the explosion.
When the dense smoke cleared, several of Gato's subordinates suddenly saw a figure dragging a Kubikiribocho slowly walking towards them.
The blade scraping the ground made a grating sound that sent chills down the spines of those assessing the scene, causing them to hastily retreat a few steps.
Dragging the heavy Kubikiribocho and holding a broken Hidden Mist mask, Chizhao's face emerged from behind the thick smoke. Gato's subordinates were instantly too shocked to speak.
With a "clank," she threw the Kubikiribocho at their feet, followed by the white mask stained with blood. Chizhao's clothes were visibly damaged, and she tiredly lifted her eyelids, her fierce voice, carried by the smoke, rushing towards everyone:
"Tell Lord Gato, I've completed the mission."
The subordinates snapped back to attention, hastily picking up the Kubikiribocho and the mask. After confirming they were correct, one of them, holding a walkie-talkie, approached her a few steps.
Gato's nauseating voice came from the machine:
"Well done, Azure Bird! I was right about you! I'm absolutely delighted! Hahahahaha!"
"Since you've completed the mission, hurry back to me! I have so many things I need your help with."
Chizhao clenched her fists, her chest filled with anger, and Gato on the other end of the walkie-talkie suddenly raised his voice and roared:
"What's your answer? Answer me!"
Without warning, an electric current surged through Chizhao's body. She painfully collapsed to the ground, her body twitching uncontrollably, letting out a shrill scream that echoed through the dense forest.
The people around watched everything with cold eyes, as if it were an ordinary occurrence. Some even grinned, revealing cruel smiles, enjoying the spectacle.
Hidden in the shadows, Byakugan watched everything. Chizhao's screams pierced his eardrums, stirring intense anger.
He clenched his fists, his whitened knuckles making faint cracking sounds.
Zabuza, standing nearby, placed a hand on his shoulder. Bai looked up in surprise, only to see Zabuza's brows furrowed, staring in the direction of the rolling smoke, his voice low:
"Calm down, Bai. Your anger now is meaningless."
Zabuza stood up, his eyes filled with coldness as he gazed towards Gato's building:
"Didn't I teach you? You must hide your killing intent to strike a fatal blow...."
