Chapter 3: I can't do anything, but I want to fight to the death with others

“Is he trying to blast Master with a fart!” Liu Boli was about to lose his temper.

“Shh, someone’s coming!” he suddenly whispered.

A moment later, Qian Duoduo heard footsteps outside the door.

Out of the corner of his eye, Qian Duoduo saw a square-faced man pressed against the window, peeking in, before the door opened.

The square-faced man, dressed in gray robes, crept in silently, but Qian Duoduo felt something crawling all over him.

“His Cultivation is gone?”

The square-faced man suddenly leaned in and growled, startling Qian Duoduo.

The square-faced man grabbed Qian Duoduo with his left hand.

Qian Duoduo smelled the Aura of death.

Just as the square-faced man raised his right hand, Hu Qingyin’s voice came from outside the door: “Gongsun Zheng, are you going to play dirty?”

Gongsun Zheng loosened his left hand, and Qian Duoduo dropped to the ground.

“A zero-level Cultivation? Is he even worth my effort? I came here on Senior Brother Jin Buyong’s orders to see if you were lying or not.”

Gongsun Zheng clapped his hands.

“Whether we’re lying or not, you’ll find out during the prison fight later, so why sneak over here?”

Hu Qingyin stepped forward, checked Qian Duoduo, and finding him unharmed, pushed Gongsun Zheng out.

“Go away!”

“Senior Brother Buyong is afraid you’ll use underhanded methods, making Jin Buhuan swallow a Medicinal Pill to hide his Cultivation. He told me to check, so why can’t I?”

Gongsun Zheng brazenly changed his excuse, testing Hu Qingyin’s reaction.

“Villains are always villains, thinking everyone else is like you. Get out!”

Hu Qingyin grew angry, used force, and drove Gongsun Zheng out.

“Prepare the gold coins. When you lose, pay up quickly.”

Gongsun Zheng talked back while struggling with Hu Qingyin.

After chasing Gongsun Zheng away, Hu Qingyin came to close the door, poked his head in, and said to Qian Duoduo: “Jin Buhuan, you must win, you must infuriate that bastard to death.”

“Give me something to eat.” Qian Duoduo looked up.

“You—” Hu Qingyin casually grumbled, not expecting Qian Duoduo to take advantage, but he quickly agreed. “Alright.”

A moment later, he tossed two chicken legs through the crack in the door.

Like feeding a dog, the chicken legs bounced off the ground in front of Qian Duoduo.

With two chicken legs in his stomach, warm currents spread to his limbs. Qian Duoduo was immersed in happiness, not thinking about Liu Boli and Jin Buhuan.

The life-and-death battle was about to begin. If he died, there was no point in thinking. If he lived, it wouldn't be too late to think then.

Liu Boli was a bit anxious and didn't disturb Qian Duoduo.

He knew nothing about his cheap Disciple, who was like a starving ghost, and had no idea how he would perform.

However, maintaining physical strength was most important before the prison fight.

An hour quickly passed, and chaotic footsteps sounded outside the door.

The door opened, and Hu Qingyin stood outside, “Come out, the prison fight is starting!”

Qian Duoduo picked up his wooden sword, stood up, and walked out the door.

Outside the door was a long corridor, sloping upwards to the right and downwards to the left.

On both sides were cells.

Following Hu Qingyin, Qian Duoduo walked to the left.

People emerged from the corridor one after another.

Some wore blue robes, some gray, and very few wore orange robes.

Regardless of color, the style was the same, with a copper coin embroidered on the cuffs and collar.

After three turns in the corridor, they arrived at a sunken large room with the words “Correction Center” written on the door.

In the center of the room was a square platform, surrounded by a viewing stand.

Spectators sat on the viewing stand, clearly divided into two sides.

Zhu Anquan sat in the center on the left, with Kang Shenjun below him.

The moment Qian Duoduo entered, everyone on the viewing stand looked at him, staring at his orange robe.

“He really became zero-level.”

A voice came from the crowd opposite Zhu Anquan.

The speaker wore a blue robe, had a fair complexion, and a hooked nose.

“Zhu Anquan, you’ll stop at nothing to win. But I’ll play along. Let’s see how a zero-level Jin Buhuan wins. Let’s be clear: if his Cultivation suddenly recovers during the match, as long as it exceeds Ningqi Level 1, you, Zhu Anquan, will lose.”

Zhu Anquan snorted coldly and responded loudly: “Jin Buhuan is your Jin Family’s Cultivation prodigy! Jin Buyong used to call him Senior Brother so respectfully and affectionately. Why are you losing confidence now?”

Qian Duoduo’s heart sank: “So Jin Buyong and Jin Buhuan are from the same Family, maybe even cousins. This kind of infighting is the most ruthless.”

Jin Buyong sneered dismissively.

“When Jin Buhuan was at the Ninth Level of Qi Condensation, not to mention me, an Outer Sect Disciple, even Inner Sect Senior Brother Jin Buque called Jin Buhuan Senior Brother. A fallen Phoenix is worse than a chicken. Stop with the nonsense, everyone’s here, let’s fight.”

He clapped his hands lightly, and a sturdy young man in a gray robe behind him stood up and walked towards the platform.

Qian Duoduo shivered at his Aura.

In terms of build, he was twice Qian Duoduo’s size.

“Jin Buyong, you’re too despicable. Yan Qi was clearly Ningqi Level 2, so why is he Ningqi Level 1 now?!”

Hu Qingyin pointed at the sturdy youth and shouted.

“Who’s despicable?” Gongsun Zheng, next to Jin Buyong, jumped up. “Yesterday, Jin Buhuan was at the Ninth Level of Qi Condensation, and now he’s at Qi Condensation zero-level. Everyone, tell me, who’s despicable, who’s more despicable?”

Everyone on the viewing stand laughed.

Cheating, as long as you weren’t caught, wasn’t cheating.

Zhu Anquan waved his hand, and Hu Qingyin gave Qian Duoduo a hard shove on the back, “Go! Remember, it’s only about winning or losing, not life or death. If someone dies, it’s still considered a loss.”

With nine steps, Qian Duoduo slowly walked up the platform, one step at a time.

Yan Qi was over eight feet tall, much taller than Qian Duoduo.

Seeing Qian Duoduo approach, he quickly bowed and whispered, “Senior Brother Bu Huan, I was forced.”

He clearly didn’t believe Qian Duoduo was zero-level.

Qian Duoduo gave a wry smile, thinking: “I don’t know why I’m here either. They think I’m Jin Buhuan, but I’m actually Qian Duoduo. The life-and-death battle is about to begin, and I don’t even know a single move.”

“Me too,” he returned the bow earnestly.

“Stop dawdling, fight!” Gongsun Zheng urged from below the stage.

Yan Qi rubbed his hand, and a wooden sword suddenly appeared, floating in the air.

He formed a hand seal with his right hand, pointed at Qian Duoduo, and the wooden sword immediately flashed with light, flying out with a “whoosh” directly towards Qian Duoduo’s face.

Qian Duoduo panicked.

“The opponent is really using Immortal Arts! A wooden sword can actually fly. If it stabs me in the head, it’ll make a big hole.”

In a hurry, Qian Duoduo dodged his head to the right, and Yan Qi’s wooden sword whistled past his left ear, making him break out in a cold sweat.

Just as he was about to catch his breath, he felt a cold wind behind his head. Turning back, he saw the wooden sword turn in the air and slash towards his neck!

“How can a wooden sword turn automatically in the air?”

Before Qian Duoduo could figure it out, the wooden sword was less than three feet from him again.

There was no way to dodge, so Qian Duoduo instinctively used the wooden sword in his right hand to block.

“Bang!” The two swords collided.

Qian Duoduo felt like he had been hit by a stone, and the wooden sword in his hand almost slipped.

Qian Duoduo staggered but regained his balance.

Yan Qi’s wooden sword flew from the front again, stabbing directly at Qian Duoduo’s chest.

“Jin Buhuan is done for, he’s going to lose!” Gongsun Zheng shouted when he saw Qian Duoduo was clearly at a disadvantage.

The overwhelming boos from the crowd reignited Qian Duoduo’s refusal to lose.

He focused all his attention, gripped the wooden sword with both hands, and with all his might, chopped towards Yan Qi’s sword.

“Bang!” This collision was more violent than before, and Qian Duoduo’s arm tingled from the shock.

But he didn’t retreat a single step, and the wooden sword in his hand was still firmly gripped.

“What Immortal, he’s nothing special.”

Qian Duoduo felt that this pain was far less than what the Evil Teacher had inflicted, and his body and mind stabilized.

Yan Qi recalled his wooden sword and quietly asked Qian Duoduo: “Senior Brother Bu Huan, why aren’t you attacking?”

Qian Duoduo thought: “This big guy in front of me has lost his initial awe. He’s starting to believe I’m zero-level.”

“If I attack, you’ll just collapse.”

Qian Duoduo flicked the wooden sword in his hand at him.

Yan Qi flinched back in fright, pointing his right hand sword seal towards the center.

Realizing that Qian Duoduo’s sword hadn’t actually flown out and was just a feint, he immediately chuckled, “Has Senior Brother Bu Huan really become zero-level? Then I, Yan, won’t be polite!”

He swung his left and right hands, and the wooden sword, with a sharp whoosh of wind, plunged down from the air towards the top of Qian Duoduo’s head.
