Chapter 356: The best twins

Chapter 356: The Best Gemini Stars

The car drove down the street under the setting sun, and Liu Zhimin sat in the passenger seat, tracing patterns on the car window with her fingertips.

The lights along the way shone through the car window onto Liu Zhimin’s slightly damp hair, shimmering in Jiang Shu’s peripheral vision, taking on Liu Zhimin’s form.

“What are we eating?” Liu Zhimin withdrew her fingers from the car window and turned to ask Jiang Shu.

“Buffet,” Jiang Shu replied casually to Liu Zhimin’s question, keeping his eyes on the road ahead.

“A buffet… I just lost three pounds recently. I wonder how much I’ll gain after this meal,” Liu Zhimin said, sounding a bit troubled.

“You lost weight? I thought you gained weight because your muscle definition looks so good,” Jiang Shu said, somewhat surprised.

Hearing Jiang Shu’s comment, Liu Zhimin subconsciously recalled Jiang Shu’s gaze, the lingering warmth of which seemed to still be imprinted on her skin.

Suddenly, Liu Zhimin’s body felt a bit warm.

“I didn’t gain weight. Also, the air conditioning is a bit hot,” Liu Zhimin said, fanning her face with her hand.

“Hot?” Jiang Shu said, reaching out to lower the air conditioning temperature.

The increased airflow from the air conditioning immediately brought with it the scent of cedar from the car diffuser.

“What are the standards for body management for your comeback this time?” Jiang Shu asked naturally.

Liu Zhimin paused, then turned to see Jiang Shu controlling the steering wheel with one hand, while the other hand held out a bottle of cola.

“Help me open this.”

Liu Zhimin reached out and took it. The sound of the cola bubbles popping filled the car.

Instead of immediately handing it to Jiang Shu, she took a big gulp from the bottle herself.

“You don’t have to cut out sugar for weight loss?” Jiang Shu glanced at her and asked with a smile.

“We’re going to a buffet anyway, so let’s just consider this week’s cheat meal to be early,” Liu Zhimin said nonchalantly, handing the cola to Jiang Shu.

Jiang Shu couldn’t help but smile at her words. After taking a sip of cola, he handed it back to Liu Zhimin for her to put the cap on.

...

The buffet Jiang Shu chose was a relatively private restaurant not far from the club. The buffet was just one of the restaurant’s dining options.

The ten-minute drive passed in an instant. The warm lights of the restaurant were like sunlight without temperature, falling on the guests, making them feel cozy.

Inside the private room, when Liu Zhimin picked up a crab and brought it to Jiang Shu, he naturally took it and picked up the scissors.

“If I remember correctly, this is the first time you’ve helped me peel a crab,” Liu Zhimin said, resting her chin on her hands and looking at Jiang Shu. “The CEO of the company personally peeling crab for an artist, tsk tsk tsk.”

“Which rule in the company’s artist management guidelines prohibits the CEO from helping peel crab?” Jiang Shu said, skillfully cutting open the crab shell as he spoke, effortlessly peeling the crab meat completely onto the plate.

“There isn’t one, but this experience is still quite novel.”

“Consider it… an hourly wage for swimming coaching.”

Hearing Jiang Shu’s words, Liu Zhimin reached out and took the plate Jiang Shu handed her.

“Does coaching require demonstrating strokes within thirty centimeters?” As soon as the words left Liu Zhimin’s mouth, she regretted it. It sounded almost like teasing.

“Then… sleeping together?” Jiang Shu chuckled, climbing the pole directly as Liu Zhimin had anticipated.

Liu Zhimin pouted and stood up with a whoosh.

“I’m going to get some dessert.”

“You can order it directly on the iPad.”

“No.”

With that, Liu Zhimin fled the private room as if escaping for her life.

Jiang Shu watched Liu Zhimin, who was using her actions to change the subject, with amusement, a slight smile on his lips. He stood up directly from his chair.

If you go, I’ll go too~

The tiramisu in the dessert area exuded a rich coffee aroma. Just as Liu Zhimin picked up the tongs, Jiang Shu’s hand appeared on Liu Zhimin’s wrist.

“This is a carb bomb. Let’s get mousse instead.”

“Why did you come over too?” Liu Zhimin looked at Jiang Shu speechlessly.

“To keep an eye on you, lest you gain weight and then tell your manager I fed you,” Jiang Shu said with a smile.

Liu Zhimin’s face flushed. She had indeed done such a thing before, so Jiang Shu was not really slandering her.

Liu Zhimin tiptoed to take down the highest matcha mousse, then placed it on the plate, and defiantly shoved the plate in her hand into Jiang Shu’s hand.

“Your manager should have told you not to hand anything to any opposite sex when dining out. What you just did with the dessert is as damaging as a scandal,” Jiang Shu said with a smile.

“Heh, are you still afraid of scandals?”

“I am quite afraid of getting involved in scandals.”

“Really? I thought you’d be very happy.”

“If it were a public relationship, I would be very happy.”

Liu Zhimin gave him a speechless look.

“Let’s go,” she said, then turned and walked back towards the private room.

Jiang Shu was not angry. He chuckled and followed her, carrying the plate.

“Does Xiao Yuan still only eat vegetables and fruits?” Jiang Shu poked at the red cabbage in the vegetable salad and asked casually.

“How would I know? We’re not in the same group,” Liu Zhimin said, spooning spoonfuls of matcha mousse into her mouth without looking up.

“What about before? I remember you mentioned it.”

“Before, she even weighed the sauces for her diet meals…” Liu Zhimin’s voice trailed off abruptly.

She remembered the past.

She and Zhang Yuanying would return to the dorm late at night and always find Soo-jin’s bento boxes, with two pieces of fried chicken accompanying the diet meal, labeled “A reward for the disciplined.”

Everyone said Soo-jin was bullying back then, but how could she not know whether Soo-jin was bullying or not?

“Actually… I secretly put extra sauce in her vegetable salad,” Liu Zhimin said, looking at the half-eaten matcha mousse.

“Why?” Jiang Shu asked, looking at her curiously.

“She was too thin, so I thought I’d help her gain some weight.”

If someone else said that, one might doubt their true intentions. But if it was Liu Zhimin…

“That’s good,” Jiang Shu leaned back in his chair, his smiling eyes looking at Liu Zhimin across from him.

“Everyone says your relationship isn’t good, but to me, you two are actually the closest.”

“Hmph,” Liu Zhimin snorted, “Who’s the closest with her?”

“Words can lie, but actions won’t,” Jiang Shu smiled. “Most of the time, you shouldn’t look at what others say, but what they do.”

“You and Xiao Yuan always speak of each other as if you dislike each other, but your actions tell me that you still miss IVE’s Gemini Stars.”

Liu Zhimin instinctively wanted to retort, but after looking up and meeting Jiang Shu’s eyes, which seemed to speak, she lowered her head guiltily.

Jiang Shu took in Liu Zhimin’s small movements.

These two Gemini Stars of IVE, also the top female artists of DM Entertainment and even all of K-pop, their bond began with IVE and has been tied together ever since.

Perhaps, there will never be such good Gemini Stars as them in the future.
