Chapter 99: Yaoyao Le (1322)
The next day, the 7:30 AM alarm echoed in the bedroom, waking up the soundly sleeping Jiang Shu and Liu Zhimin.
Liu Zhimin instinctively burrowed into Jiang Shu’s arms and patted him.
“Oppa, turn off the alarm!”
Jiang Shu groggily opened his eyes, reached for his phone, and seeing the time was 7:30 AM, he turned off the alarm.
He looked down at Liu Zhimin in his arms; one of her thighs was draped over him, the other was pressing against his stomach, and she was half-lying on top of him.
He reached out and moved the incredibly soft thigh, then pulled back the blanket and sat up from the bed.
“Where are you going?” Liu Zhimin asked, opening her eyes in confusion and staring at Jiang Shu with her large eyes.
“To the SKT Club,” Jiang Shu said, standing by the bed and looking at Liu Zhimin.
“Oh, then you go,” Liu Zhimin responded, closing her eyes again. “Close the door, thank you.”
Jiang Shu chuckled, took his phone, and left.
He washed up and then went downstairs to a breakfast shop at the community entrance to eat.
“Good morning, President nim,” Choi Ji-yeon’s voice came through after he answered the phone.
“See who’s in the practice room right now.”
Going to the T1 Club was a great opportunity to gain popularity; he could film a vlog and bring a trainee along.
“Let me see…” Choi Ji-yeon called her assistant over. Jiang Shu ate his breakfast and waited for a while, then Choi Ji-yeon’s voice came through.
“President, most of the trainees have arrived. Today is Saturday, so everyone is here.”
“Is Kim Minju here?”
“She is.”
“Then have her take a taxi to the T1 Building on Seolleung-ro. I’ll wait for her here.”
“Understood!”
After hanging up, Jiang Shu quickly finished his breakfast and then drove straight to Seolleung-ro in the Gangnam District, where the T1 Club is located.
It was in the same Gangnam District, just a different location, so it wouldn’t take long to drive there.
He had an appointment with Li Lishi at nine o’clock. Jiang Shu arrived at the T1 Building at 8:30 AM, half an hour before the agreed time, so there was no rush.
Compared to the large crowd of fans that surrounded his own building every day, there were also player fans below the T1 Building, but far fewer.
Li Lishi must have given instructions, as Jiang Shu drove directly into the parking lot without any obstruction.
He waited at the entrance for a while, and as a taxi pulled up, Kim Minju’s figure came into Jiang Shu’s sight.
“Zhou Zhou,” Jiang Shu waved at Kim Minju, who then jogged over after seeing him.
“Good morning, President nim!”
“Good, good,” Jiang Shu replied perfunctorily, stuffing the selfie stick into Kim Minju’s hand.
Kim Minju understood and took it.
Walking into the T1 Building, they saw Choi Woo-je and two others who had arrived at some unknown time.
Choi Woo-je’s mother was the first to see Jiang Shu and Kim Minju, and she quickly motioned for her husband and Choi Woo-je to come forward and greet them.
“Chairman Jiang!” The three bowed to Jiang Shu.
Jiang Shu nodded casually, then reached out and pulled Choi Woo-je, who only reached his chest, closer, looking at the camera in Kim Minju’s hand.
“This is Choi Woo-je, a very talented esports player. I came to the T1 Building this time to send him to T1’s youth training. Perhaps in the future, you’ll see him on the starting roster of T1’s first team.”
Choi Woo-je uncomfortably glanced at the camera. The young man had not yet experienced being in the spotlight and was very ill at ease.
However, Jiang Shu was only filming a vlog, and after explaining his purpose, he released Choi Woo-je.
“What are they doing over there?” Jiang Shu asked, pointing to a crowd of people not far away.
“It seems like they’re holding a fan esports game,” Choi Woo-je’s father said uncertainly.
Jiang Shu checked the time; there was still a while until the agreed time.
“Let’s go take a look.”
Choi Woo-je and the two others naturally wouldn’t refuse Jiang Shu, and Kim Minju even less so.
The group of five walked over.
Only upon getting closer did they see clearly that it was a solo mini-game of ARAM (All Random All Mid). In the arena, a young man who looked about the same age as Choi Woo-je was playing against a man in his thirties.
Behind the young man, a girl who bore some resemblance to him was cheering him on.
Jiang Shu looked at the girl’s profile, feeling she looked a bit familiar, but he couldn’t remember where he had seen her.
He reached out and pulled Kim Minju, who was enthusiastically watching the game, and under her bewildered gaze, he tugged her to switch positions.
After changing his stance, Jiang Shu was able to see the girl’s full face.
Hmm?
When Jiang Shu saw the girl, he immediately raised an eyebrow.
He remembered who this was.
Xue Lun’e (B)
Bonds: Special Forces (1), Yaoyao Le (6/7).
Six Yaoyao Le: NMIXX exclusive bond.
Effect: When activated, greatly increases fans’ initiative to help the group raise its popularity and public favorability, but will raise the threshold for becoming a fan.
Seven Yaoyao Le: NMIXX exclusive bond.
Effect: When activated, greatly increases fans’ initiative to help the group raise its popularity and public favorability by one major tier, but will affect the group’s stability.
A low-tier version of Seraphim.
This was Jiang Shu’s evaluation of Yaoyao Le. In fact, the effect of Seven Yaoyao Le was even worse than Six Yaoyao Le.
The so-called fan initiative, in plain terms, was fan-created content, also known as abstract videos.
The effect was good, but that was about it. Each of Jiang Shu’s artists had sub-top tier bonds, and there was even a hidden bond like fantasy fairy tale that was not inferior to top-tier bonds.
The Yaoyao Le bond wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t quite enough.
And Seven Yaoyao Le was even more problematic.
Affecting group stability meant that the group could explode at any time, and it would be a major explosion like withdrawal from the group, or even disbandment.
Forget it, Six Yaoyao Le was good enough.
Jiang Shu glanced at Xue Yun, who was cheering for her younger brother. Although she was only fourteen, he could already see glimpses of her future as a candidate for the fifth-generation divine beauty.
Beautiful children truly are beautiful from a young age all the way to adulthood.
However, looking at Xue Yun, Jiang Shu was reminded of Lily, the lead vocalist of his own anomalous IVE. She was also a member of Yaoyao Le.
LilyM (B)
Bonds: Special Forces (1), Yaoyao Le (6/7), Sub. Lead Vocalist (1).
Sub. Lead Vocalist:
Effect: When activated, vocal skills will reach standard (idol lead vocalist standard) lead vocalist level in a very short period of time. Although it will overdraw potential and prevent reaching the upper limit, there is a certain probability that the bond will evolve and transform into a Lead Vocalist bond.
The effects of Sub. Lead Vocalist and Pseudo. Lead Vocalist are the same, even including the negative effects. The only difference is that the Sub. Lead Vocalist bond has a probability of transforming into a true Lead Vocalist bond.
Jiang Shu didn’t have a strong desire to form NMIXX, but since Xue Yun was practically delivered to his doorstep, it would be a shame to give her to someone else.
Thinking this, Jiang Shu reached into his pocket, confirmed he had his business card, and then walked towards Xue Yun.
Kim Minju had been watching Jiang Shu closely. Seeing him walk off to one side, she immediately raised her camera and followed him.
