..........
Siegfried - a powerful fighter in the early stage.
When I was writing it, I mentioned that peak Siegfried's combat power was a thousand times that of Rita, but people thought that was a bit too high at the time.
But actually, my idea has not changed even after I finished writing the book.
Take the actual situation in 2014 as an example. In 2014, there was no evidence to confirm that Rita was already S-level. In my configuration, she had obtained the Skadi of Moon Soul and Eternal Frost...
Let me see. In the original story, one year later, Rita couldn't be stable and win over Stan in a short period of time.
As for Siegfried, his strongest attack must be the sword that sealed Sirin's core in 2000.
At that time, Siegfried activated the full power of Pavani + Holy Fire Judgement + Walter Core to start the destruction mode, and then used all his strength to strike with the sword.
I won’t post pictures of the specific performance here. If you have time, you can take a look at the performance in the comics. I think a thousand times is an understatement.
Of course, some people will think that the Key of God doesn't count or something... I think the Key of God is a divine equipment, Siegfried is the holder, and he can use it, so it's normal that this advantage is considered strength.
Would anyone, when evaluating Otto's modern strength, ask him to change back to his physical body and not use the Soul Steel Body and Void Ten Thousand Treasures? It's the same principle.
Back to the previous topic, there is a reason why Siegfried is a powerful veteran in my personal positioning.
According to my own thinking, if something big happens in Changkong City and Kiana is likely to be in trouble, Siegfried will definitely come here.
Of course, this is not mentioned in the original book, but in my opinion, it would be wrong if he didn't come.
Here I would like to mention the character of Siegfried in the original work.
Siegfried's early character design combines the two negative character designs of [flirting] and [touching the Valkyrie's butt], which seem very vulgar now.
Later, due to plot reasons, only a little bit of gossip remained, and the setting of touching the Valkyrie's buttocks changed from being mentioned in the Honkai Classroom to being a rumor spread by Shigure Kirara.
Everyone says that Siegfried has become the victim, but in fact the real victim in this plot is Kirara Shigure. In order to clean up the mess of the previous copywriter, Kirara Shigure suddenly has an additional XXN character who [spreads rumors about colleagues in the same unit and sexually harasses colleagues].
Then there was Memories of Eternity, which came out in 2017, and it was a heavyweight plot.
In this important plot, Otto's day mentioned [recovering Kiana] and [why Siegfried took K423 away].
In addition, there was a CG of Kiana being imprisoned at that time, so the mainstream speculation four or five years ago was that Siegfried gave up taking his daughter away in order to take K423 away, resulting in his daughter being captured by Otto.
Because of this, Siegfried was scolded.
I won’t talk about my views at the time, but the problem was that it was later proved that this plot was caused by miHoYo itself.
While the text was vague, a CG was given in which Kiana's eyes were covered, her hands were bound, and there was an iron chain and an iron ball on her feet.
This actually doesn't match the later plot: [Kiana was fine after falling from the sky, and Otto wrapped her body with soul steel].
In fact, this plot is a departure from the novel, and all previous speculations are no longer valid.
Then I was very curious, is there anyone who hasn’t watched the new plot and is still using the old plot to curse Siegfried?
After the new plot, Siegfried was not only a talker, but also was slandered for not touching anyone's butt; after fighting hard, his wife was killed; he endured humiliation and stayed in Tianming for the sake of his daughter, and finally his daughter died in front of him.
The biggest problem he had left was that he had not settled the real Kiana properly before rushing to the Tianming headquarters, which led to the tragedy that followed.
In my opinion, this is a question of intelligence, not character. As a result, I have never seen anyone scold Siegfried for his problems in the new plot...
I wonder what else is there to criticize about him except for the tragedy caused by Siegfried taking Kiana to the Skyrim headquarters in the new plot.
This unfortunate Zhong Deng is almost a perfect victim, but now he is being criticized every day, and some people even use Otto to criticize him in terms of love, saying that Siegfried is not as good as Otto in love...
Damn it, Siegfried respected and loved his wife, and after his wife died, he respected her ideas and endured humiliation to raise their daughter.
As for Otto - he conducted human experiments behind Kallen's back when she was alive [he didn't mention the Black Death incident, he was doing it afterwards as well], and later released the Scarlet Prison Maru and almost destroyed the Sentence headquarters, and before Kallen died, he released the Honkai Beast in front of her.
Between these two people, I don’t see any respect from Otto for Kallen, nor do I see any love from Kallen for Otto [You can look at the past chapters for yourself, in the Fool’s Twilight chapter and the spin-off comic Purple Iris chapter, to see whether Kallen’s feelings towards Otto in these two interactions are that of a lover or a like-minded companion. ].
As a result, Siegfried, who respects his lover, is better off disgusting Kallen twice. If Kallen is resurrected, she will be disgusted by Otto for the third time.
There will definitely be people who will talk about the five hundred years of infatuation - wake up, when Kallen was alive, Otto arrogantly chose the means that Kallen hated the most and tarnished Kallen's ideals. At the same time, after knowing that Kallen hated these things, he still unswervingly continued to be a beast.
Before you praise him, can you please take a look at what Kallen is thinking? If Kallen is really resurrected and knows that Otto's five hundred years of trouble are all because of her, she will either vomit or be disgusted for a long time.
You can really brag.
As I mentioned in the character setting of the protagonist, I don’t plan to give the protagonist too high combat power in the early stages.
So in this case, we must have strong friendly forces.
At that time, there were actually not many people who were able to fight and help the protagonist.
Lao Yang is half disabled. When he was in good condition fourteen years ago, he couldn't beat Xilin. And although he came to Changkong City in my setting, it's reasonable for the protagonist Siegfried to join forces with him, but joining forces with the leader of the Anti-Entropy Alliance is a bit... wrong.
So Lao Yang will pass first.
Bianca and Rita also passed. If Otto wants the third Honkai Impact to break out smoothly, he will definitely not let anyone get rid of the Herrscher of Thunder so early.
Not to mention Theresa, in the original novel she didn't even come to Changkong City, leaving the matter to Jizi to deal with.
After much deliberation, Siegfried is the most suitable candidate among those who are somewhat capable of fighting and can help the protagonist.
The same is true for the subsequent plot of the Nine Netherworlds Rebellion. In this plot, the protagonist is definitely unable to deal with Chi You, so he needs a powerful fighter.
Then because of some plot developments, this Chi You was strengthened [after all, the raven ran into his body and destroyed it, so there are seven thunders of purification in his body. According to Chi You's absorption characteristics, he will definitely be strengthened], so Siegfried also came.
Later in the Moon Shadow Arc/Birth of the Death Rule Arc, Siegfried went to help as a hard-working person, purely for some special reasons.
From the beginning, the plot accelerates, and while the protagonist is reeling, the villain must also keep up.
Therefore, while the timelines of the Anti-Entropy Invasion and Moon Shadow chapters are advanced, I must also strengthen the combat power of the World Serpent.
After Raven, the only designated high-end combat force of the World Snake in this book, was taken away, the World Snake couldn't rely on the Honkai Beast transformation potion to cause trouble every day.
That’s why I came up with a plot where Cocolia gave Joyce’s genes to the World Serpent, giving it a chance to produce higher quality soldiers.
Under these prerequisites, if the protagonist wants to play in a high-end game, he must have someone to help him hold back the high-level minions of the World Serpent.
In the end, the most suitable person is Siegfried, since he also appeared in the Moon Shadow chapter in the original work.
Finally, as I was writing, I found out that there were two hardworking people in the early stage: Rita on the side of Destiny and Siegfried on the side of Anti-Entropy.
While writing this, my laptop suddenly broke down.
If possible, I hope it’s just a computer problem, and not the resentment of the overtime workers traveling through the dimension to assassinate me.
Of course, as a powerful fighter in the early stage, when the new boss comes out in the later stage and the strength of the protagonist increases, it is inevitable to retire from the version.
In fact, from the time Kevin came out to the finale, Siegfried was offline most of the time. The only time he fought was in a team battle when he killed Otto.
After all, although Siegfried is required to fight everywhere to deal with Honkai beasts in the background of the plot later, he no longer has anything to do with the main plot.
It's really sad to think about it. The retirement of old characters is inevitable no matter where you are.
..........
Cecilia - This should have been written later, but since I'm writing about Siegfried, I might as well write about Cecilia as well.
Between the last book and this book, there was a question of whether or not to write about Cecilia's love line. Later, it was not written because of the character setting of the protagonist and various practical reasons.
However, not writing a love line is one thing, but the resurrection still needs to happen.
After watching Twilight of Fools, I knew that Cecilia's soul was always with Bianca...
Then it will be easier to resurrect.
Of course, this character doesn't play a big role in the plot, and he's a supporting character among supporting characters. There doesn't seem to be much to say about him. His biggest role is to allow the protagonist to have holy blood so that he can carry Otto on his back to rub the Spear of the Godkiller.
Then let’s go to the next one.
..........
Theresa - this character was not intended to be a character in the harem from the very beginning when it was written.
On the one hand, I really have no interest in her in that aspect. On the other hand, although my favorability towards Theresa has improved a lot in recent years, it is still not very high.
Of course, the most crucial reason is not the ones mentioned above. The main reason is that I was warned when I wrote the first chapter and the introduction.
Because of Theresa.
Why I will leave some of the plots about Banya and Xier to be discussed later. I don’t know if these two will be killed for the same reason.
The reason why we talk about design three and a half years later is that by then they are all 18 years old, their figures are better, and they are all mature women, so...
Everyone knows, let’s get back to Theresa.
This character's positioning is similar to Siegfried's from the moment he first appears. In the early stage, the protagonist is not very strong and cannot reveal too much strength, so our side must have a few slightly capable shots.
Fu Hua can no longer be relied upon, so the Far East Branch can only rely on Theresa to carry the responsibility.
Therefore, from the very beginning, Theresa's position was as a leader + early-stage fighter. Lin Yu's joining Apokalis was a plot designed when the story was almost finished, and it did not exist at the beginning.
I feel like there's not much to write about. Like Siegfried, she doesn't need to fight much later on, so her role in the story is obviously smaller.
Even because she couldn't be allowed to join the group in killing Otto, in a sense she wasn't able to participate in one of the book's final battles.
Yes, compared to Lin Yu's big fight in Paradise, plotting against Kevin and easily knocking him to the ground, and truly integrating the Cocoon of the End, in my opinion, the atmosphere and scene in this book that is most like a decisive battle is actually the battle in the Domination Theater where everyone is chasing Otto.
There doesn’t seem to be much else to say, so let’s move on to the next one.
.....
Himeko - has a similar position to Theresa, but she is the officer in charge of giving out missions.
Similarly, I had no intention of writing about the characters in the harem from the beginning. I asked because I was afraid that questions related to teacher and student would ruin the book.
There is nothing much to say about the specific plot. Originally, her transformation into a law had an exclusive plot for Lin Yu, but it was cut out by me for various reasons.
I feel like this is a character that there's really not much to say about, next one.
..........
Bianca - A character with a similar positioning to Rita.
If Rita plays the role of an older sister who understands people's hearts but is helpless most of the time in the plot, Bianca plays the role of a stupid younger sister who is very worried about the older brother she lives with but is not good at speaking and can only help her brother with actions in the end.
I feel like there's actually not much to say. If I have to say something, the reason why Lin Yu turned into a curly dog was not only because of his desire for revenge, but also because his two roommates, Rita and Bianca, were one a workaholic [the original book mentioned that sleeping four hours a day could restore all energy, so he hoped to do more] and the other an overworker [he didn't sleep for a month to solve the global collapse incident], which probably had some influence.
..........
Yuno - A super heavyweight character.
At first, I had no intention of describing this character in depth.
If someone thinks that I wrote so many plots because I like her, then I want to clarify that I didn’t have such an idea when I started the book.
Those who have read my previous book should know that Yuno was a mere supporting role in the previous book. After I asked Siegfried to bring her back to Anti-Entropy, I asked her to find an opportunity to elbow Cocolia to death and there was no subsequent plot. Her presence is even less than that of Xing in this book.
The main reason why this book has so many plots is because...
It's written smoothly.
Let's talk about Yuno's original character first. She can use plants and poison, beat Theresa twice in single combat [actually twice, Theresa was poisoned by Yuno the second time, if it wasn't for Yaezakura's stigmata to save her, Theresa would have been in trouble again. ], has a mother, may like miso soup, is bullied, and her mother is very strict with her, that's all.
The above things seem like a lot, but if they are not expanded upon, they cannot support a character.
But think about it from another perspective. Since Yuno has very little, the author has a lot of room to play with her freely, given her looks, abilities, and a little bit of experience.
Let’s start with the relationship between Yuno and her mother.
During the serialization, some people raised the objection that the relationship between Yuno and her mother should be very bad.
It is mentioned in the original lines that Yuno said when she became a Herrscher, "My mother has always hated me and I get scolded for the slightest mistake I make."
If we just look at this sentence alone, it is probably confirmed that Yuno's mother is not good to Yuno.
But in fact, people who have grown up from adolescence should be very clear that they will be more or less dissatisfied with their parents' discipline.
Yuno was in a Herrscher state at the time. If she didn't wake up from this state, she would either suffer from a split personality or become extremely evil.
In Yuno's case, it is obvious that she turned evil and started to complain about this and that. I believe that others bullied her, but it is hard to say whether her mother was strict with her or really hated her.
I think both situations are possible, so I chose to write about "her mother is strict with her".
After it is determined that Yuno's mother was only strict with Yuno, looking back at the plot of Sakura Memories, we can find that Yuno was still thinking about her mother before she died.
In my eyes, this is proof that her relationship with her mother is not actually that bad, so in this book, it is written that although Yuno dislikes her mother for being too strict with her after becoming a law-abiding woman, her mother still loves her.
Of course, at that stage, Yuno was still in the state of "Ah, since I'm here, I'll help if I can."
Although he has become one of the main characters, there is no plan to give him much plot.
The key lies in the conversation in the coffee shop. In order to help Yuno get out of her sadness and self-destructive tendencies, Lin Yu chose to divert Yuno's attention to other aspects.
Of course, this approach was indeed a temporary solution at the time, but in my opinion, Yuno herself should be extreme.
But at the beginning, her extreme behavior was directed at herself. She felt that she deserved to die after killing her mother and killing so many people.
