Chapter 1: I traveled to the pirate world

Shu City, Huaguo, Earth.

Wei Ke was an orphan. He lost his father at a young age, and his Mama had to work to support the family, so she had no time to take care of him.

From a young age, he loved watching animated films, which helped to alleviate his loneliness.

As he grew older, he became obsessed with Pirate King.

As the saying goes, misfortunes never come singly, and blessings never come in pairs. During high school, his Mama fell gravely ill and passed away.

Despite the immense blow, Wei Ke did not give up. He used the money his Mama left him to attend university.

During his university years, he worked part-time as a video blogger, specializing in reviewing Pirate King. He had been making video commentaries on Pirate King since university.

Because he majored in applied physics, his videos were highly logical, and many of his creative ideas and predictions were refreshing.

As a result, Wei Ke's videos garnered many views and a large number of fans. The income from his videos was enough to keep him from starving.

After graduating, he did not look for a job and became a professional video blogger focusing on anime.

One evening, to prepare for his latest Pirate King commentary video, he consulted a vast amount of information.

He read many old comics to find plot foreshadowing. After three days of continuous work, Wei Ke finally collapsed onto his keyboard.

Before he fell, an ethereal voice echoed in his mind, as if from the sky!

"Vik, you must live, you absolutely must live!!!"

........

Leipu Island, East Blue.

This is an island with distinct seasons. Because many young people on the island join the Marine, and there are also some retired Old Marines, the island is relatively peaceful and safe.

The island is located on a trade route, so the island's specialties can be sold in a timely manner. The living conditions of the island's residents are relatively affluent, and their lives are quite good.

Near the coastal pier is a small town called Yarling Town, named after Yarling, the first mayor who established the town.

The town is not very large, bordering the sea and the forest. The residents of the town do not worry about food or clothing and it is considered the wealthiest area on the island.

The residents here are very kind, benevolent, and simple. They also have their own shopping street with a complete range of goods, fully meeting the daily needs of the town's residents.

However, such a town no longer retains its original beautiful and lively appearance.

There are traces of burning and smashing everywhere, and the residents' eyes are filled with sorrow. Many of them have lost loved ones and friends!

It was in a house in this town, which had been attacked by pirates, that Wei Ke slowly woke up.

He found himself lying on the ground. His head was very heavy at the time. He rolled over and, after a moment to recover, prepared to sit up.

As a result, with a "thump," his forehead hit something hard. Wei Ke cried out in pain, drawing a sharp breath with a "hiss, hiss" sound.

"Oh my, that hurts! Where am I?"

He fumbled his way out from under the low, hard object, and only then, by the faint light from the window, did he realize he had been under a bed.

This was a tall, unfamiliar room. Wei Ke swore he had never been in this room before.

"How did I end up here? What happened?"

With questions in his mind, Wei Ke slowly walked out of the room. He moved softly, observing his surroundings.

The house was a bit messy. As he went downstairs to the entrance, he saw an unfamiliar black-haired little boy, about 1.2 meters tall, in the mirror in the foyer.

Wei Ke froze. Instantly, a wave of memories flooded him. Poor Wei Ke, less than half an hour after waking up, fainted again.

.......

Vik's eyelids fluttered, and he gradually regained consciousness. The feeling in his body told him he was not lying on the floor, but on a warm bed, covered by a blanket.

He slowly opened his eyes and saw a wooden ceiling and a white chandelier.

He slowly came to his senses and realized that he had undergone Transmigration, arriving in the world of Pirate King.

He had become Orens Vik, the ten-year-old son of Orens, the secretary of Yarling Town on Leipu Island in the East Blue.

Because both his parents were killed before the original body's eyes, the child could not bear the shock, and his Soul was exceptionally weak and empty. Wei Ke's Soul, which had wandered here, occupied this child's body.

Wei Ke thought of the death of the original body's parents, especially the words his Mama, Ann, said to the original body before she died, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness!

"This is the world of Pirate King, where the strong prey on the weak.

So be it, Transmigration. Anyway, there's no one I care about in that world anymore.

Perhaps I was summoned by Ann. The faint voice I heard in my mind when I collapsed on the keyboard sounded a lot like Ann's."

Through the Fusion of memories, Wei Ke knew that Pirate King Roger had only been executed less than a month ago.

He murmured, "The Great Pirate Era is about to begin. Without strength, one can only be at the mercy of others, just like this town."

After a moment of reflection, he turned his head to look at a little girl with burgundy hair who was sleeping by the bed.

Through his memories, he knew this was Rebecca, from the neighboring house, one year younger than Vik. Looking at the house's furnishings, he knew he was currently at Rebecca's home.

Vik (hereinafter referred to as Vik) sat up and stretched. His body had not suffered any harm, and since he was awake, there was no need to stay in bed anymore.

He reached out and ruffled Rebecca's hair, feeling no strangeness at all, as if it were his body's instinct.

Rebecca woke up and, grabbing Vik's hand, exclaimed joyfully, "Vik, you're finally awake! You've been unconscious for three days!"

"Three days? I didn't expect that a mere memory Fusion of a child would take three days to wake up!" Vik thought to himself.

"Vik, you haven't eaten for several days. You must be hungry. I'll go get you something to eat."

Rebecca, seeing Vik in a daze, spoke again, then ran out.

When Vik heard about food, his stomach immediately rumbled, "Grrr, grrr!"

He muttered to himself, "I was unconscious for three days, I don't know how long I was under the bed!"

"When I came out from under the bed, I didn't find the original owner's parents' bodies. Clearly, someone had been here and moved the bodies."

After a short wait, two figures entered the room.

Besides Rebecca, there was an Old Lady with graying hair and wrinkles on her face; it was Rebecca's Grandma Maria.

The Old Lady was carrying a large tray filled with many foods. Seeing Vik out of bed, she smiled and placed the tray on the nearby table.

She gently asked Vik, "Little Vik, how are you feeling? Is anything uncomfortable?"

Vik replied, "Grandma Maria, I'm fine now. I was just shocked before and fainted. You don't need to worry anymore."

"I'm also very sorry about your parents, but you must be strong and live on!" the Old Lady said earnestly.

"I know, I will live well!" Vik said seriously.

Hearing Vik say this, the Old Lady felt much relieved and urged Vik to eat first, saving other discussions for after he finished eating.

Then Vik ate all the food on the tray, and he still wanted more.

He wasn't full yet, but he felt too embarrassed to ask for more, after all, he was in someone else's home.

The Old Lady was a little surprised to see Vik eat all the food. The old Vik would never have been able to eat so much; a small portion would have filled him up.

"Little Vik, are you full? There's still plenty in the kitchen. I'll have Rebecca bring you some more."

"Rebecca, go get more food. Vik isn't full yet. He's probably been starving these past few days, hehe!"

Seeing Vik's still-hungry expression, the Old Lady chuckled.

Vik smiled a little awkwardly.

To eat and then ask for more was a bit unrefined. He could only repay these two poor, dependent people in the future.

Rebecca's parents were both Marines during their lives. Her father was killed by pirates while on a mission!

Then, her Mama, who was on a mission aboard a ship, was also in a daze after hearing the news and unfortunately died during a battle with pirates.

Leaving an Old Lady and a child living on Leipu Island. If it weren't for the martyr's allowance issued by the Marine every month and the help from nearby neighbors, they would have starved to death long ago.

Seeing Vik's embarrassment, the Old Lady smiled slightly and said, "Don't worry, eat your fill. Although Grandma doesn't have much money, I still have money to buy food."

"When the pirates left a few days ago, they didn't take the food; they just plundered all the money. So, there's no shortage of food in town."

"Your parents helped me the most when they were alive, so I won't let you go hungry. From now on, you'll eat here with me."

"After you finish eating, I'll take you to visit your parents' graves. Alas, what a poor family."
