Chapter 1: Traveling through the world of Pokémon

A parallel world, Hua Xia Elves Alliance, Yang City.

In the city center sat a very large building with the Alliance's unique emblem.

On the front of the building, there was also a lifelike statue of a Blastoise.

This was the only Gym in Yang City, the city-level Yang City Gym.

In the Gym's backyard, by the pond, on a bamboo recliner, lay a young man with a dazed look in his eyes.

His name was Li Chen, and he had transmigrated to this world because his left foot stepped into the company door first.

After briefly sorting through the memories left by the original owner, it took Li Chen a long time to gradually recover.

“Did I really transmigrate?”

“Squirtle, Squirtle~”

Just then, a familiar Growl came from the nearby pond.

Li Chen immediately stood up from the bamboo recliner, turned his head to look, and then met eyes with a turtle, staring at each other.

Li Chen was stunned as he looked at the small turtle in the water before him.

Because it was none other than the Squirtle he knew from anime and games in his previous life, except now the Squirtle was alive and in front of him.

But Li Chen didn't know how he provoked that Squirtle; suddenly, the Squirtle opened its mouth and shot out a small stream of water, drenching Li Chen like a drowned rat. The damage wasn't great, but the humiliation was extreme.

“Damn it, Squirtle, you just wait!”

Li Chen was slow to react; by the time he realized what happened, he was already soaking wet, and the Squirtle had already dived underwater.

Helpless, Li Chen had to accept his bad luck. He couldn't possibly jump into the pond to catch that mischievous Squirtle because he couldn't swim.

After wringing out some water from his wet clothes, Li Chen lay back down on the bamboo recliner, closed his eyes, and began to recall the memories left by the original owner in his mind.

This was a Pokémon world, a world where cities and Pokémon coexisted.

Hundreds of years ago, Pokémon suddenly descended upon the Blue Star. The Blue Star's area expanded by more than a hundredfold, and Pokémon secret realms merged with reality, causing many Pokémon to emerge from these realms.

Initially, humans did not understand Pokémon and treated them as monsters, engaging in a century-long tug-of-war. The power of Pokémon exceeded human expectations, leading to heavy losses for humanity.

One day, scientists discovered information related to these monsters in a Pokémon secret realm, gaining a concrete understanding and knowledge of them.

From the initial battles with monsters to understanding them in the mid-term, until scientists invented something called the Poké Ball to capture these monsters.

This led to a situation where monsters were used to fight monsters. From then on, humans named these monsters Pokémon, and both sides coexisted peacefully on Blue Star. Pokémon gradually integrated into human life.

After decades of development, the power of Pokémon was evident to all, leading to the birth of a profession called Pokémon Trainer.

Moreover, as humans understood Pokémon more deeply, the profession of Pokémon Trainer also rose in status, becoming highly sought after and one of the most popular and numerous professions on Blue Star.

Later, each country on Blue Star also formed a Pokémon Alliance to facilitate the management of their Trainers.

With the birth of the first Elite-level Trainer, and later the first Champion-level Trainer, humans divided Trainers into ten ranks.

From lowest to highest, they are:

Novice Trainer (0-10)

Junior Trainer (11-20)

Intermediate Trainer (21-30)

Senior Trainer (31-40)

Superior Trainer (41-50)

Gym Trainer (51-60)

Quasi-Elite Four-level Trainer Trainer (61-70)

Elite Four-level Trainer Trainer (71-80)

Quasi-Champion Trainer (81-90)

Champion-level Trainer (91-100)

Although only these ten ranks were defined, it does not mean that a Champion-level Trainer is the strongest. In fact, above the hundredth level, there is also a Master-level Trainer.

However, over hundreds of years, it seems only one or two people have reached this level.

At the same time, there is always someone better, and beyond the Master-level Trainer, there are even more powerful beings: Legendary Pokémon.

However, Legendary Pokémon are rare and hard to find; ordinary people may never see one in their entire lives.

But the power of Legendary Pokémon is deeply ingrained in people's minds. About one hundred and twenty years ago, the neighboring Sakura Alliance provoked a Legendary Pokémon, which almost overturned their island.

From then on, whether ordinary people or Trainers, everyone had a love-hate relationship with Legendary Pokémon, only able to keep their distance.

But there are also many crazy people who dream of capturing Legendary Pokémon, and some even want to capture Legendary Pokémon and then use them to overthrow the world.

However, over hundreds of years, there have been instances of witnessing Legendary Pokémon and Legendary Pokémon saving people, forming good relationships with humans, but no one has ever truly captured a Legendary Pokémon.

Therefore, every country is vigorously training Trainers, especially by canceling useless subjects like foreign languages in Pokémon high schools and replacing them with knowledge related to Pokémon.

Also, in their third year of high school, all students will receive their first, free Pokémon.

Because the Alliance has regulations that all individuals must meet one of two conditions to own a Pokémon: either be a third-year high school student or be 18 years old.

The Alliance set this regulation due to many bloody incidents that had occurred.

For example, minors with immature minds, who liked to compete, fight, and brawl, would use Pokémon to attack others over minor quarrels, leading to the immediate death of the other party.

There were also children who, to get revenge on others, used poison-type Pokémon to release poison in people's homes, resulting in the entire family and neighbors being poisoned.

Such examples were not few, and it was precisely these bloody examples that led the Alliance to set the age for teenagers to own their first Pokémon at 18, the age of adulthood.

In addition, all majors in Blue Star Pokémon Universities have been replaced by Pokémon-related majors, such as Pokémon Battle, Pokémon Cultivation, Pokémon Appraisal, and Pokémon Archaeology, etc.

Li Chen was a bit puzzled, after all, he had transmigrated inexplicably.

But after he came to his senses, his first reaction was not depression, but happiness, because he finally didn't have to work like a dog anymore.

There were many ways to get rich in this world. The simplest was to help others graze Tauros and Miltank, which could earn several hundred a day.

And once you became an Alliance-certified Trainer, you didn't have to do anything; the Alliance would give you a monthly subsidy, so you wouldn't starve even if you just lay around all day.

If you were a bit diligent, worked hard at training and battling, and cultivated your Pokémon well, you only needed to become a Superior Trainer to have more money than an ordinary person could spend in a lifetime.

Thinking of this, Li Chen's eyes were filled with excitement.

In his previous life, he was a Pokémon enthusiast, having watched Pokémon TV shows and movies, and played Pokémon handheld games. Now that he had transmigrated to this world, he felt completely at home.

Moreover, he could fulfill his dream from his previous life: to capture Pokémon and become a powerful Pokémon Trainer.
