“System, I choose Dragon-type, begin simulation!”
“You have chosen Dragon-type. Now randomizing the Pokémon for simulation.”
“…”
“Random result: Duraludon.”
Duraludon! I ask, who else!?
“The simulated world is not a real existence. Please do not have any psychological burden, Host.”
“Now starting the simulation for you…”
Li Shuwen suddenly felt his vision go dark. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in an unfamiliar, dry cave. The cave entrance was blocked by rocks, with only some sunlight filtering through the cracks.
What’s going on? Did I transmigrate again?
“Roar!”
My voice?
He looked down, and where his hands should have been, there were only a pair of silver-white claws.
Wait, the simulated object, Duraludon, seems to have silver-white claws.
Li Shuwen’s body stiffened as he felt this completely new body.
Oh no, I’ve turned into a Duraludon!
Pokémon Simulator, shouldn’t it be a text-based simulation?
How did it actually turn me into a Pokémon?
“System, what’s going on?”
“Pokémon Simulator, the most realistic Pokémon simulation system, allows the Host to no longer worry about making incorrect choices that lead to the premature death of the simulated object.”
“The system will determine the Host’s simulation score based on the Duraludon’s survival time, level increase, skill training, territory expansion, and other changes during the simulation.”
“The Duraludon’s attribute panel has been opened for you, Host. Please check it immediately.”
Li Shuwen immediately opened the attribute panel.
“Duraludon”
“Level: Lv38”
“Attributes: Steel, Dragon”
“Ability: Light Metal (Development 0.3)”
“Base Stats: 605”
“HP: 77”
“Attack: 103”
“Defense: 123”
“Special Attack: 130”
“Special Defense: 64”
“Speed: 108”
The values of these Base Stats correspond to the base stats in the game.
Even without evolving, this Duraludon is already quite accomplished at a young age!
Next, the skills.
“Available Skills: Metal Claw 65, Dragon Claw 96, Flash Cannon 103, Outrage 155, Dragon Pulse 108, Take Down 98, Rock Tomb 66, Hone Claws 1.5, Iron Defense 1.4.”
“System, what do the numbers after the skills mean?”
“The numbers for attacking skills represent skill power, and the numbers for status moves represent the skill’s change multiplier.”
Aside from being a bit low level, the Base Stats and skills are both excellent.
Now Li Shuwen has two choices: first, push away the rocks blocking the cave entrance and explore the outside world.
Second, follow the deep underground tunnel in the cave and explore the underground world.
Duraludon is a Steel and Dragon-type Pokémon made entirely of aluminum-based metal. Duraludon’s food is rocks, or rather, the metal components within rocks.
Exploring the underground world could lead to finding ores with large amounts of metal components, ensuring Duraludon’s survival time, level increase, and even skill learning.
As for exploring outside, that should correspond to territory expansion.
Li Shuwen decided to survive first, raise his level, and then explore outside once he had the strength to protect himself.
Li Shuwen entered the underground tunnel. After a winding path, he entered a gradually expanding underground space.
From this winding path and the rocks blocking the cave entrance,
Li Shuwen sensed something unusual.
Duraludon being so cautious fully indicated that powerful Pokémon capable of threatening his life lived near his territory.
He used the sharper claws of his right hand to cut a piece of rock from the rock wall and chewed it, tasting the metal components within.
The metal content was very low. Rocks like this would probably require hundreds of pounds to fill Duraludon’s stomach.
Li Shuwen continued forward and finally found a dark grey rock wall.
He swung his right claw, knocked down a protruding rock, and put it in his mouth.
That’s right, it’s iron ore.
Li Shuwen immediately tried using Metal Claw with his left hand and Dragon Claw with his right hand. To his surprise, he smoothly used both skills simultaneously.
He started wildly chiseling at the rock wall in front of him.
He continued until the entire dark grey rock wall was hollowed out and turned yellowish-brown. Only then did Li Shuwen stop swinging his claws.
He planned to take a good rest and enjoy the fruits of his labor.
He looked down, “Where’s my ore?”
He only saw a few small creatures with liquid metal bodies and golden nuts on their heads, looking at Li Shuwen with eager faces.
Meltan!
This underground space actually has Meltan!
The Meltan’s gaze sent shivers down Li Shuwen’s spine.
He immediately swung his claws, sending all the Meltan in front of him flying.
He immediately turned and ran.
Li Shuwen felt a pain in his tail. He turned his head and saw that a Meltan was hanging on his tail, eating in small bites.
It was eating with unwavering determination.
Li Shuwen immediately whipped his tail against the rock wall, flinging the Meltan away.
His feeling was right. The Meltan’s eager gaze wasn’t hoping he would dig up more iron ore; they were treating Duraludon as their food.
As legendary cub Pokémon, Meltan are not particularly strong.
Duraludon could easily send them flying with a Metal Claw.
However, they have good teeth and can easily bite off pieces of Duraludon’s body as food.
And the Meltan’s fearless gaze made Li Shuwen feel uneasy.
Sure enough, a pair of fists as big as sandbags suddenly flew out from deep within the tunnel, heavily striking behind Duraludon, causing rocks to rumble down wildly.
A giant dark grey nut, connected to a pair of mercury arms, stretched to its limit then retracted. A massive cyclops again rotated his mercury body.
He aimed his nut-fists at Duraludon.
Li Shuwen fled frantically. He was still too foolish and naive.
With such a large space underground, he should have realized there was a problem long ago.
Was his first simulation going to end with him becoming Meltan food?
Li Shuwen’s brain spun wildly, thinking of a way to escape.
He used Rock Tomb, creating a large pile of rocks behind him, attempting to block Meltan’s pursuit.
Double Iron Bash!
The Meltan swung his fists, easily smashing the rock chunks.
He pursued Li Shuwen unhurriedly.
As he ran, Li Shuwen suddenly saw the indented tracks left by a snake-like Pokémon on the ground.
Steelix!
That’s right, it’s a Steelix!
I’m saved!
Divert the trouble!
Steelix’s body is larger than Duraludon’s, and much larger.
Compared to Duraludon, the much larger Steelix would definitely be more appealing.
Following the snake trail left by Steelix, Duraludon fled frantically.
He saw it, a circular hole. This is where Steelix burrowed out.
Duraludon’s body wasn’t too large. He slightly widened the hole with a claw swing and squeezed in.
As for the Meltan, because he was too tall, he could only continuously swing his fists to smash the rocks, widening the hole left by Steelix.
The sleeping Steelix, hearing the sound, immediately opened his eyes vigilantly.
Seeing the aggressive Duraludon, he opened his mouth and spewed a stream of Dragon Breath.
However, Duraludon ran straight past him and quickly left his nest through another opening.
As Steelix was wondering, a Double Iron Bash landed on his face.
Steelix immediately let out a roar that was three parts pain, three parts fear, and four parts fury.
He swung his tail, using Iron Tail, and erupted into a fierce battle with the Meltan.
Hearing the intense battle nearby, Duraludon paused his steps.
He saw a piece of iron ore. Taking advantage of the Meltan fighting Steelix, he quickly dug up the iron ore and ate it.
This time, Duraludon learned his lesson, digging and eating one piece at a time.
Halfway through eating, the sound of battle stopped. He only heard the faint, dense cries of Meltan echoing through the hole.
Frightened, Li Shuwen didn't dare to move.
