Chapter 100: Repair Eevee Gene

Dr. Bulano scoffed upon hearing this, saying, "You're just a young brat, your words are baseless; all of this is merely your speculation. Does your research rely solely on your mouth?"

Jiang Mo, hearing this, smiled confidently, "Dr. Bulano, you say I only have a mouth, but if I can solve this problem here, would you be willing to admit that there's an issue with your research direction?"

Dr. Bulano snorted, a hint of disdain and disbelief in his eyes. "Kid, you're very talented, I'll admit that, but do you know how long this problem has troubled me?"

"Twenty years! That's a full twenty years! In these twenty years, I've tried countless methods, but I've never been able to completely solve it."

"Why do you, a mere youngster, think you can easily crack this tough nut?"

Jiang Mo did not back down because of his skepticism; instead, he calmly said, "Doctor, you've been puzzled by this problem for twenty years. Perhaps it's precisely because you've fallen into a trap of fixed thinking."

"Sometimes, an outsider sees more clearly. Perhaps I can offer a completely new approach."

Dr. Bulano frowned. Although he inwardly scoffed at Jiang Mo's words, the young man's composed demeanor and precise analysis forced him to re-evaluate him.

"Alright!"

He finally clapped his hands and said coldly, "Since you're so confident, I'd like to see what solution you can come up with."

"If you can truly solve Eevee's genetic disorder, I'll give you this Eevee!"

"But I must warn you in advance, this is no ordinary experiment; its complexity far exceeds your imagination."

Jiang Mo's eyes flashed with a glimmer of light upon hearing this. "Doctor, please rest assured, I don't fight battles I'm not confident in."

He looked at the Eevee submerged in the blue liquid, pondered for a moment, then asked, "Doctor, could you please explain to me in detail the specific ratio of gene fusion within this Eevee, as well as the flow paths of each elemental energy?"

Seeing Jiang Mo's seriousness, Dr. Bulano secretly began to anticipate his abilities. Though he didn't say anything, he opened the nearby control panel and projected Eevee's detailed genetic model into the air.

"Take a look; this is its genetic structure."

Dr. Bulano said, pointing at the projection, "The proportion of each elemental energy within its body is roughly balanced, but under certain circumstances, its elemental energies will exhibit extremely unstable mutual repulsion, leading to a disordered gene chain."

"And each time this happens, its vitality rapidly declines."

Jiang Mo stared intently at the complex genetic model, gently tapping his chin as he murmured to himself, "Indeed, the problem lies in the balance of genetic energy."

"Although the energy ratio of each element appears balanced, it lacks a crucial point—the dominant mechanism of elemental energy."

"Dominant mechanism?" Dr. Bulano was startled, a puzzled expression on his face.

"Exactly," Jiang Mo explained, "Just like a large ship needs a helmsman, this Eevee's body has too much elemental energy, but there isn't a stable core to coordinate the flow of these energies, causing them to interfere with each other. This is the fundamental reason for its short lifespan."

"Core coordination mechanism..."

Dr. Bulano fell into thought. He suddenly felt that Jiang Mo's words made a lot of sense, yet they were somewhat unbelievable. "Then, what method do you think can form this so-called core?"

The corner of Jiang Mo's mouth curved slightly upward: "It's very simple, add a special elemental energy to it."

"Special element?" Dr. Bulano was slightly startled. "How is that possible? Are you saying there's a nineteenth element?"

Jiang Mo shook his head, "No, it's not adding a nineteenth element, but rather using an energy to balance the existing elements."

Jiang Mo's previous analysis and questions were all a pretense; he certainly didn't have the ability to research a core coordination mechanism in such a short time.

These concepts were all learned from his teacher, Dr. Ouyang; now he was just using them to fool Dr. Bulano.

However, Jiang Mo wasn't without confidence. Don't forget, he still had those hairs he'd obtained from Mew.

He secretly took a strand of Mew's hair from his game panel. As an existence possessing the genes of all Pokémon, Mew's gene repair ability was unmatched by any research method.

Solving the mere genetic problem of an Eevee was simply effortless.

"Dr. Bulano, I have a special material here that can serve as the key to this experiment."

Jiang Mo said ambiguously, deliberately not mentioning Mew's origin.

He quickly put the hair into the experimental station's control device, simultaneously inputting the deployment command on the control panel.

Dr. Bulano frowned, but he didn't stop Jiang Mo's actions. Unbeknownst to him, a hint of trust had already formed within him towards Jiang Mo.

As the strand of hair integrated into the device, a gentle and peculiar energy slowly infused into the glass container, beginning to merge with the blue liquid and the energy within Eevee's body.

Moments later, the laboratory instruments emitted a faint hum, and streams of data rapidly refreshed on the projection screen, dazzling the eyes.

Dr. Bulano's gaze was fixed on the screen, gradually revealing a look of surprise: "How is this possible... Eevee's genetic structure is actually beginning to self-repair! The disordered energy is gradually stabilizing, and the arrangement of the gene chain is becoming orderly!"

Lingxi, Bing Meng, and Chen Jiaxing stood by, equally stunned into silence by the scene.

The Eevee in the glass container still had its eyes closed, but the light emanating from its body became soft and harmonious. The chaotic elemental energy flow that was present before had vanished.

Dr. Bulano couldn't help but excitedly approach the glass container, carefully observing Eevee's condition, his voice trembling slightly: "What... what's going on?"

"How did this energy achieve this?"

"It seems to have perfectly integrated the various genes within Eevee, unifying all elemental energies into a balanced state!"

Jiang Mo watched the progress of the experiment, secretly breathing a sigh of relief. He knew that Mew's genes truly lived up to their name, effortlessly solving Eevee's fundamental problem.

But he didn't explain directly; instead, he said subtly, "Doctor, this is an energy sample I obtained during a fortuitous research opportunity. It's specifically used to repair genetic disorders in Pokémon. It seems its effect is even better than I anticipated."

Dr. Bulano looked back at Jiang Mo, his eyes filled with complex emotions: "Kid, I have to admit, you really do have some tricks up your sleeve."

"The application of this energy is completely beyond my comprehension..."

He paused there, his tone suddenly becoming serious, "But regardless, your method has indeed worked. This Eevee's problem has been completely resolved."
