Chapter 12: I want to be a trainer

“Thank you for your help, Mr. Luo Mu.”

The valiant Jenny led a group of police officers in a sincere salute to Luo Mu. The parents of the three children, as if having survived a disaster, tightly embraced them, while crying and expressing their gratitude to Luo Mu.

Luo Mu was not very good at handling such scenes and awkwardly muddled through the period. After Jenny escorted the kidnappers away, he turned to look at Nemo, who had been waiting not far away, and the middle-aged butler next to her, who introduced himself as Sebas, as well as the luxury car behind them.

“Hiss, I remember that car must be at least a thousand W, right?”

Luo Mu’s eyes widened, and he looked at the very low-key black luxury car with a face full of longing. If he hadn't just happened to see related introductory videos online recently, he really wouldn't have recognized it.

A rich young lady is just different; even her daily driver is so luxurious. Luo Mu was practically drooling.

Nemo noticed Luo Mu’s gaze fixed on the car behind her. After a moment of thought, she remembered that Big Brother’s house looked quite old. Her family’s garage had many different cars like this, so why not…

Nemo wanted to open her mouth to ask Sebas to give this car to Luo Mu, but Sebas spoke first to Luo Mu, who was walking towards them.

Sebas, dressed as a butler, first bowed slightly, his right hand placed on his chest, and respectfully said, “Mr. Luo Mu, please allow me to express the most sincere gratitude on behalf of my master’s family. Thank you for rescuing the second young lady from the villains.”

Luo Mu smiled and said, “It was just a small matter; there’s no need to be so formal.”

Sebas shook his head as if in fear, and sincerely said, “How could that be? During the time the second young lady was missing, the master, madam, and the eldest young lady were all frantic. It was entirely thanks to your intervention that a tragic outcome of eternal separation was avoided.”

“Would you mind honoring us by returning to the mansion as a guest? The masters have prepared a generous Gift and wish to thank you properly.”

Nemo’s eyes lit up slightly. Was Big Brother going to be a guest at her house?

Yay!

However, Luo Mu’s attitude towards this suggestion was very firm. He shook his head and politely refused, saying, “I appreciate their kind intentions, but I didn’t act for any reward. Please allow me to decline this invitation.”

Although he was short on money, he wouldn't stoop to taking advantage of such a small favor to demand repayment.

Furthermore, with his strength, there were many ways to make money; it was just that he was unwilling to do so.

“Eh—?”

Nemo’s face showed disappointment; she was a little disheartened.

She had thought she could spend a little more time with Big Brother…

“Is that so? I understand, but please accept this small token of our appreciation.” The butler Sebas was very witty. Seeing that Luo Mu did not want to accept a tangible Gift, he directly took out a gilded business card from his pocket and smiled, “This is my business card. It has my private contact information on it. If you have any needs in the future, you can contact me.”

Sebas was very clever. Since Luo Mu did not need a material thank-you Gift, he would change the way of expressing gratitude.

As a butler who usually helped handle various affairs within the mansion, contacting him, in a sense, was equivalent to contacting the master.

This favor would not disappear; it would merely transform into another form and wait.

Moreover, compared to material things, the master also wanted to build a good relationship with Luo Mu, this retired Champion-level Trainer.

Perhaps in the future, when traveling to other regions for business, to avoid attacks from evil organizations, they might need to hire Luo Mu?

The strong are always sought after in this world.

Luo Mu took the business card Sebas handed him, told Nemo that she could come to the farm to play whenever she had time before sending her off, and then returned to the farm.

At this moment, not far from his small Western-style house, about ten figures and several Machoke were busy working with great enthusiasm.

As if noticing Luo Mu’s figure, the hearty middle-aged voice from the phone call earlier rang out: “Mr. Luo Mu, you’re back?”

Luo Mu turned to look and saw a middle-aged man wearing a hard hat and sporting a handlebar mustache, whose first impression suggested he was very cunning, waving at him and walking over.

Luo Mu’s gaze swept over him for a moment, his expression slightly changed, and upon closer inspection, one could even see admiration in Luo Mu’s eyes.

Good heavens, you really do help with the kids!

The middle-aged man had two seemingly half-grown children hanging from each of his left and right arms, and another was riding on his head. Two or three more children were playing and frolicking a meter or two away.

Such a hellish scene; if it were him, he probably would have gone completely insane in less than ten minutes.

Respect.

Harboring respect for the Foreman, Luo Mu nodded slightly and said, “The matter is settled, so of course, I’m back.”

Then, Luo Mu looked at the busy people and asked in confusion, “Are you preparing to start work?”

The Foreman smiled and said, “Since you’ve agreed to our rather impolite conditions, naturally, we’ll arrange everything as quickly as possible.”

Luo Mu’s lips curved into a smile, and then he said, “Then, I’ll leave the basic planning of the farm to you.”

“Machop Construction Team, quality you can trust!”

The Foreman was not shy at all. After reciting his line, he struck Machoke’s signature muscle-flexing pose, causing the children to giggle with laughter.

Next, Luo Mu and the Foreman discussed a series of matters under the watchful eyes of the children, finally finalizing the farm’s planning and engineering scheme.

The Machop Construction Team took on this planning project for a full payment of 100,000 alliance currency.

The project content was to plan the farm area, dividing it into three major zones: a Farming Area, a pasture area, and a lake area.

However, such a cheap price only covered the mere demarcation of areas and the construction of basic facilities.

Most of the buildings and items were made of wood, and upgrading them would require a lot more money, which Luo Mu unfortunately did not have.

After all, after making the payment, he only had less than 300,000 alliance currency left in his savings.

His living expenses were barely sufficient, and Luxray and the others would occasionally go out hunting to alleviate the family’s burden.

How to use this startup capital to make money was Luo Mu’s headache.

Thinking of this, Luo Mu always felt that he had merely jumped from a 996 work schedule into another, even more terrifying 007 hellhole.

However, compared to others who started from scratch, he had already won at the starting line.

Spoon Town.

Inside a luxurious mansion with its own garden and beach, Nemo, who had returned home, grabbed her father Allen, and with encouragement from her sister Karen, she blushed and said, “Father… I want to become a Trainer.”

Allen stopped walking, and a hint of surprise flashed in his pupils, which were the exact same color as Nemo’s. He squatted down and smiled at Nemo, saying, “What made our little princess change her mind? Let Daddy guess, was it that retired Champion-level Trainer?”

Nemo blushed and nodded, then gathered her courage and said, “I also want to be as strong as him, and aim for the Champion Level!”
