Chapter 25: New member of the farm 111

Chapter 25: New Farm Members +1+1+1

“Eldegoss?”

Eldegoss tilted its head, a bit confused. It knew Luo Mu was inviting it, but what was a farm?

Luo Mu smiled and said, “A farm is a place where everyone lives, plays, and works together.”

“On the farm, I can guarantee that you won’t face the threats of the wild like today, and you can grow up safely. Of course, as a price, you need to contribute your strength to the farm’s development.”

Luo Mu tried his best to explain the pros and cons of the matter. After all, he wasn’t rich enough to do charity, and his initial purpose in looking for Grass-type Pokémon was for the future development of the farm, so they naturally needed to contribute labor.

Serperior could at most take care of ordinary crops; it couldn’t Birth them. If it could master the Grassy Terrain move, there would be no such trouble.

If Eldegoss and the others chose to join the farm, the remaining work would naturally fall to them.

Eldegoss first looked at Luo Mu, then at Serperior, who was so powerful it dared not look directly at it, yet had saved them. Thinking of the two sleeping Gossifleur behind it, hesitation flickered in Eldegoss’s eyes.

Although freedom made it feel comfortable, the two Gossifleur were constantly in danger of being attacked on this unfamiliar land. Could it accept exchanging some freedom for stability?

In Eldegoss's mind, the scene of this human, like a god descending to earth, commanding Serperior to repel Skuntank, and the images of the poisoned, weak Gossifleur and the now quietly sleeping Gossifleur, all flashed by.

At this moment, a clear answer emerged in its heart. Miraculously, it felt no resistance to this answer at all.

Whether from the perspective of repaying kindness or for the safety of Gossifleur and the others, it should accept this invitation.

Once it made up its mind, Eldegoss had no more hesitation or concerns. It nodded gently, effectively entrusting itself and the Gossifleur to Luo Mu.

After receiving Eldegoss’s answer, Luo Mu’s lips curved upward. He took out three red and white Poké Balls from his satchel. Under Eldegoss’s gaze, Luo Mu gently touched the bodies of the two Gossifleur one by one, collecting them inside.

The Poké Ball’s button lit up red, shaking slightly three times. A crisp ‘dong’ sound rang out, indicating that the Gossifleur were now bound to this red and white Poké Ball.

Then, Luo Mu looked at Eldegoss, raising the red and white Poké Ball in his hand.

Eldegoss blinked its eyes and very obediently came closer, actively touching the Poké Ball itself. Similarly, it shook three times, and the capture was complete.

“Even though I’ve experienced it firsthand, capturing Pokémon still makes my heart pound with excitement,” Pai Pa said, looking enviously at the three miniaturized Poké Balls in Luo Mu’s hand. As he looked, Pai Pa suddenly noticed the mark on the Poké Balls and asked in confusion, “Brother Luo Mu, what’s that little grass symbol on the Poké Balls?”

Luo Mu paused his action of putting the Poké Balls back into his satchel and said with a smile, “A Poké Ball with this symbol means the Pokémon inside belongs to this farm, not my personal combat strength.”

Pai Pa nodded, half-understanding, with a somewhat bewildered look on his face. Didn’t you personally capture them anyway?

“Let’s go, it’s getting dark soon. It won’t be good if we get lost.”

“Oh.”

By the time Luo Mu brought Pai Pa back to the farm, night had completely covered the sky. The temperature was noticeably lower than during the day, and the occasional breeze felt a bit chilly on the skin.

With almost no lighting, the pitch-black farm somewhat resembled a desolate field from a horror movie, making one feel a little eerie.

Luo Mu took out a newly bought, unopened blanket and draped it over Pai Pa, whose nose was a bit red. He said softly, “This should keep you warm.”

Pai Pa sniffed, carefully feeling the warmth the blanket provided. For a moment, his eyes reddened due to these small details.

Luo Mu didn't notice Pai Pa's unusual behavior. Instead, he tilted his head, wondering if what he had just said sounded too much like a lecturing father.

A moment later, Luo Mu looked at the old-fashioned wall clock hanging on the wall and realized that it was already approaching nine in the evening.

Pai Pa hadn’t brought a phone or communication device, and Luo Mu’s own phone was hanging around Dragonite’s neck. He was afraid that Ao Lin and Fu Tu would be frantic because they couldn’t reach him.

After some thought, Luo Mu decided to call Swampert and personally escort Pai Pa home. Serperior had already walked with him all day and was now back in its den; he couldn't possibly call it out again.

Luo Mu said to Pai Pa, who was standing still, “I’ll go call Swampert to come with me and take you home. It’s so late, Dr. Ao Lin and Dr. Fu Tu must be very worried about your safety. I’ll have to apologize to them then.”

Pai Pa’s expression froze, and he instantly panicked.

How could he not know if his parents were home?

Once Luo Mu took him back, his lie would definitely be exposed. He just didn't want that to happen!

Before Pai Pa could brainstorm a suitable excuse, Luo Mu pushed open the door, intending to call Swampert, who liked to sleep outside.

It was at this moment that an orange-yellow figure descended from the night sky, and the strong winds it stirred up, along with the sand, made Luo Mu get a mouthful of sand.

Considering Pai Pa was still there, Luo Mu forcefully swallowed the expletive that was on the tip of his tongue. After his sand-filled eyes recovered, Luo Mu, with reddened eyes, finally saw the culprit and instantly yelled in exasperation, “Dragonite! How many times have I told you, look below to see if anyone’s there before landing, and land more gracefully!!”

“Bwooh~”

Dragonite looked at Luo Mu innocently, indicating that it was just an accident that occurred because Luo Mu happened to open the door when it was landing.

Dragonite then gently placed the large box it was holding on the ground, and with both palms, it embraced Luo Mu, snuggling happily.

“…”

After Dragonite’s series of moves, even the biggest anger dissipated, not to mention its round and soft belly. Just leaning on it felt like lying on the most luxurious mattress, full of healing power.

Sanity +1+1+1+1+1.

Luo Mu only felt that a day's fatigue was completely healed at this moment. After Dragonite released its embrace, Luo Mu looked at the box it brought back, guided by the light from the house. Just seeing the logo printed on it made him feel a pang of pain.

Silph Co., a very famous company in this world. Its headquarters are located in Saffron City in the Kanto region, and many Pokémon items are manufactured and sold by them.

“Bwooh~”

Dragonite then handed Luo Mu the phone hanging around its neck, signaling Luo Mu to look at the content inside.

“Let me see…”

Luo Mu took the phone, saw the low battery displayed in the upper right corner of the cracked screen, and quickly browsed through it.

A moment later, Luo Mu, whose expression visibly darkened, yelled exasperatedly at the sky, “You, Qi Shu!!!”
