Chapter 45: Conquer Diancie

Kebi touched Diancie's head with a doting smile.

"My princess, you are truly amazing."

Kebi watched Diancie use Power Gem ten times before telling her to stop.

He took out a Tyranitar pancake, broke it into small pieces, and handed one to Diancie, saying,

"Try it, this is what Pokémon outside eat."

Diancie, filled with curiosity, took the pancake and bit into it.

This feeling was unprecedented.

Although the gems Diancie had eaten before contained a lot of energy, allowing her to transform into her current appearance,

there had never been a gem that gave her the same feeling as this pancake.

It was very soft and sweet.

Diancie looked at Kebi curiously, "Do all the Pokémon outside eat this well?"

Kebi smiled and said, "Outside, there's not only delicious food, but also fun things and beautiful sights."

Food festivals, amusement parks, cinemas, snowy mountains, oceans, forests.

Diancie, who had always lived underground, had never even seen the sky or white clouds.

"After we defeat Sableye, can I go see the outside world with you, Kebi?"

Kebi smiled knowingly, "Of course, you can."

Clapping his hands, Kebi told the Carbink, who were already panting from exhaustion, to stop and distributed the pancakes to them.

"Eat something."

After eating the pancakes, the Carbink were all conquered by their taste.

They chattered incessantly.

"There are many Berries in the forest. Although they can't compare to pancakes, they have rich flavors. You don't have to stay underground all the time; you can Dig to the surface and take a look."

"The surface isn't as safe as underground, but once you master self-defense skills, you can safely move around on the surface."

Hearing Kebi's words, the Carbink's training enthusiasm grew even higher.

After finishing their pancakes, they went back to train their Rock Throw and Tackle combination moves.

Perhaps it was curiosity about the outside world, or perhaps it was anticipation for the future.

The Carbink underwent a huge transformation, looking completely different from before.

Kebi felt that after today's training, he could take them to fight Sableye tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Torkoal, hearing the commotion of the battle, rushed to the battlefield.

He only saw the departing figures of Steelix, Skarmory, and Magnemite.

Torkoal searched all over the valley, almost covering half of Steel Valley, but he couldn't find Kebi.

Kebi had only treated Torkoal to one meal, and that was because Torkoal had helped him.

But Torkoal didn't think so!

He didn't think his two Flamethrower attacks could compare to the food Kebi had treated him to.

Since Kebi had already been buried in the fissure, Torkoal felt that all he could do was defeat Steelix and avenge Kebi!

Torkoal ran at full speed towards Steelix's habitat without looking back.

Kebi was completely unaware of everything happening on the surface.

In just over an hour, the Carbink had mastered Rock Throw and Tackle, and Harden and Sharpen were second nature to them.

"Very good, now we will learn another use for Rock Throw: condensing Rock to launch."

Kebi intended to focus on guiding Diancie and building a bond with her.

But he couldn't ignore the Carbink either.

Kebi suddenly remembered that he still had Nosepass!

Tyranitar was too fierce and not suitable to be a teacher.

At this moment, Kebi felt that catching Nosepass was the most correct decision he had made after entering Steel Valley.

"Nosepass, I choose you!"

After Nosepass came out, Kebi placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Nosepass, you are responsible for guiding them to learn Rock Throw, Rock Blast, and Power Gem. Start with Rock Throw."

Nosepass was stunned. He wasn't even that familiar with these moves himself, and he was supposed to be a teacher?

Kebi looked at him with determination, "Your level is enough to guide them!"

Since Kebi said so, Nosepass could only brace himself and go for it.

He awkwardly explained how to condense and launch Rock Throw, and personally demonstrated it.

Seeing Nosepass hit the bullseye precisely, the Carbink cheered for him.

Nosepass was a bit embarrassed by the praise.

"Nose!"

He began to enthusiastically guide the Carbink in their training.

Kebi was also by their side, hand-teaching Diancie how to use Rock Throw.

Kebi carefully pointed out problems, and Diancie quickly used it quite well.

Under Kebi's encouragement, Diancie smiled so widely her mouth couldn't close, repeatedly waving her hands, "I'm not as amazing as you say."

After a while, Nosepass saw that the Carbink had mostly learned Rock Throw, so he began to teach them to use Rock Blast.

However, only three Carbink were able to learn Rock Blast, the same three that had stayed behind to resist Sableye.

Nosepass couldn't teach the others, so he could only come to ask Kebi for guidance.

"Those who can't learn Rock Blast should focus on training Rock Throw. It's just a difference between a single hit and a multi-hit. You need to learn to think about which attack method suits you."

Fooled by Kebi's words, the Carbink went back to continue training.

The Carbink who couldn't learn Rock Blast looked at the basketball-sized Rocks they had condensed, then at the several fist-sized Rocks flying out consecutively from Rock Blast.

They immediately felt that the basketball-sized Rocks had more power.

Kebi, of course, also taught Diancie how to use Rock Blast.

Diancie still learned it instantly and mastered it with ease.

But the power was still not quite enough.

She was still too young, and the latent power within her body had not been fully utilized.

Kebi knew he couldn't rush.

Nosepass continued to lead them in learning Power Gem, but this time only two Carbink learned it.

After nearly two hours of training, the Carbink's stamina was exhausted, and they could only return to their nests to sleep.

Kebi also stopped with Diancie, and they each took a sleeping bag. Kebi told Diancie stories about the outside world, deepening Diancie's anticipation for it.

After waking up, the Carbink felt their bodies full of energy.

They clamored to go teach Sableye a lesson.

Kebi naturally indulged them; after all, with him there, no accidents would happen.

Sableye was very bold, living near the Carbink's habitat for easy hunting.

Now that the food was knocking on his door, it was Sableye's turn to be unlucky.

Sableye suddenly appeared, and a Fake Out caused one Carbink to flinch.

Two Carbink instinctively used Harden and charged straight at him.

They passed through Sableye's body, but Sableye wasn't so lucky and was kicked away by the Carbink flying towards him.

Besides instinctively using Tackle, they also instinctively used Rock Throw.

The method of using themselves as Rock left a deep impression on the Carbink.

After being kicked five times in a row, Sableye turned and jumped, grabbing onto the Rock wall and fleeing.

Seeing Sableye about to run, Diancie immediately launched a Power Gem.

The other Carbink also got the hint, using Rock Throw, Rock Blast, and Power Gem.

They directly knocked Sableye unconscious.

The Carbink jumped up excitedly, not realizing that Sableye was playing dead. He used his hands and feet to disappear at the fastest speed.

Sableye swore that he would never eat Carbink again.

He never thought that food would one day jump up and hit him.

He was going to move to a different place overnight.

Kebi extended his hand to the excited Diancie and said,

"Diancie, the clan will be safe from now on. Would you like to travel outside with me?"

Diancie placed her hand on his.

"Of course! I want to see the most beautiful scenery and eat the most delicious food!"
