Chapter 171: The seven met for the first time

Hearing the greeting, Mu Li and Fu Peiyao subconsciously looked over. The person who arrived was Zhang Ruoyun, another guest from the "Flowers and Youth" program, and the male lead in several recent hit dramas.

By age, Zhang Ruoyun was nearly 10 years older than both of them.

Mu Li and Fu Peiyao also quickly greeted him.

However, Zhang Ruoyun's attention was completely drawn to Mu Li's assistant Miss and the photographer: "They are...?"

Both of them had more white in their eyes than black, looking as if they were about to faint.

Mu Li couldn't help but twitch his lips, explaining, "Them? They just got carsick... It's fine, they'll be better in a bit..."

Zhang Ruoyun, however, looked a bit worried: "Oh dear, so severely carsick? You'll have to prepare some motion sickness medicine in advance when going abroad."

"Ah... haha..." Mu Li laughed somewhat guiltily, quickly pulled Zhang Ruoyun, and changed the subject, "Brother, I recently watched that drama you starred in, it was so cool."

Zhang Ruoyun's eyes lit up, and a smile appeared on his lips: "Right? I really like this show too."

"Why don't we go up first?" Fu Peiyao didn't intend to interrupt their conversation, but due to some people's deliberate delays, it was already getting late.

They still needed to find the location of the embassy.

The embassy was not in a very large building; a location like the Kapu Islands wouldn't have such a large embassy. The Kapu Embassy was located in an office building.

As soon as the three finished asking for directions, they heard a clear female voice: "Hi! Hello everyone!"

Mu Li looked back and saw it was Song Ling'er, another guest from the program—a child star turned actress who was also very popular recently.

Besides the four of them, the program also invited Li Xian, also a male actor, as well as Xin Zilei, who had just finished a blockbuster drama with Zhang Ruoyun, and an elderly actor, Cai Ming.

A total of seven people were participating in this trip together.

As for Song Ling'er, Mu Li hadn't seen her works, and his impression of her remained from when she was a child, playing Nezha.

These embarrassing past events often appeared in short videos.

However, after a brief interaction, Mu Li found that Song Ling'er was not at all as reserved as she appeared on television; in reality, she was practically a chatterbox.

"How did you all get here?" Song Ling'er asked after a brief introduction, "My hotel is closer. When it was my turn, I still had 50 yuan left, and I didn't want to spend it, so I took the subway."

Zhang Ruoyun also nodded and said, "I wasn't far either; I rode a shared bicycle."

"The two of us were even cheaper; we rode Pokémon directly..." Mu Li complained to the program staff, "You have to add that 50 yuan for us. I heard there are bad people in the program staff who always don't give enough money."

Song Ling'er nodded in agreement: "Exactly, I also heard from a friend before that the program staff are really stingy."

The two Misses from the program staff also had to sigh inwardly.

They both wanted to refute, but the problem was they couldn't; what they said was the truth!

The four took the elevator directly to the 22nd floor, and upon entering, they saw the guiding sign for the Kapu Embassy.

"Have you been to the Kapu Islands before?" Song Ling'er asked curiously.

"We two have been there, I guess." Mu Li looked at Fu Peiyao before saying, "It's just that last time we went in a hurry and didn't stay too long..."

Song Ling'er asked excitedly, "Then did you see the Tapu Guardians of the Kapu Islands? Which one did you see?"

"Uh... how should I put it? This situation is a bit complicated." Mu Li explained, "The day we went, the Tapu Guardians hadn't returned yet..."

Yes, that's right, they hadn't returned when we went, but they returned after we went.

Zhang Ruoyun raised an eyebrow, looking at Mu Li and Fu Peiyao teasingly, and said, "When did you two... go to the Kapu Islands together?"

Fu Peiyao couldn't help but sigh, glared slightly at Mu Li, and tried to explain, "It was just a coincidence."

Mu Li nodded, quietly leaned into their ears, covering the microphone, and said, "We two smuggled ourselves over using Pokémon; it wasn't through official procedures, so it can't really be broadcast..."

Zhang Ruoyun and Song Ling'er immediately widened their eyes and quietly gave Mu Li a thumbs-up.

The four followed the guiding signs to the embassy room, which had already been arranged by the program staff to look like a classroom.

"We're not going to have a test, are we?" Song Ling'er complained a bit.

"Not necessarily, it's probably to teach us some local language or something." Zhang Ruoyun was quite experienced with this type of variety show, "After all, we'll need to communicate with everyone once we're there."

As the four entered the room, they found that one person had already arrived.

"Li Xian!" Zhang Ruoyun exclaimed with some surprise. He and Li Xian had collaborated on a Republic of China detective film years ago, and their relationship was clearly very good.

Mu Li finally realized that, apart from him and Fu Peiyao, the other five people in this tour group were all actors.

Fu Peiyao clearly also had little interaction with actors; they might have only seen each other on television.

Soon after, Cai Ming arrived in a hurry.

Cai Ming was also considered an old artist, already over sixty years old, but he looked just like an ordinary person in his forties.

Especially his spirit and energy, which were no worse than those of middle-aged people in their thirties or forties.

"Oh, my goodness, I finally made it. I'm not the last one, am I?" Cai Ming was still panting, "I've never been here before, couldn't find the way."

"Oh, please slow down." Song Ling'er quickly greeted him, "You're not the last one, Sister Zilei hasn't arrived yet."

Zhang Ruoyun's expression changed, and he deliberately teased, "This Xin Zilei, how improper, making an elder wait. Sister Cai Ming, when she arrives, you must scold her severely, she has no manners."

Cai Ming retorted unhappily, "What? Trying to use me as your weapon? I won't fall for that."

As they were talking, Xin Zilei appeared out of nowhere: "I heard someone talking bad about me."

Zhang Ruoyun immediately looked guilty: "Who? Who spoke ill of my sister?"

Xin Zilei rolled her eyes unhappily, then greeted everyone.

It was evident that everyone was still a bit reserved at their first meeting.

Many people didn't know each other well.

However, after introductions, it turned out that Zhang Ruoyun was the one with the most acquaintances in the entire team.

He had filmed TV dramas with Li Xian and Xin Zilei, performed skits with Cai Ming, and knew Song Ling'er. The only ones he wasn't very familiar with were Mu Li and Fu Peiyao.

"Brother Ruoyun, it seems the tour guide's task will fall to you this time." Song Ling'er said gleefully.

As soon as Zhang Ruoyun heard the words "tour guide," his face contorted.

He had watched previous seasons of the show, and being a tour guide was not easy.

More importantly, when people travel together, their habits differ, and he wasn't sure how well everyone would get along.

In previous shows, there were situations where people disliked each other, forming small groups and opposing each other, which led to the entire show being broadcast with everyone watching the backstabbing between the few people.

A good travel show was forcibly turned into a palace drama.

Zhang Ruoyun did not want his trip to turn out like this, even though it was just a job.
