The aurora can be said to be one of mankind's greatest curiosities about nature.
This special phenomenon can only occur in areas close to the poles.
To ensure they captured the aurora as much as possible, the production team began their journey to find the aurora on the second night after arriving in Ice Country.
This search lasted for several days, as if they wouldn't give up until they found the aurora.
Seeing the aurora during a trip is a huge selling point in itself.
However, the aurora is not so easy to see. Even though the production team had reserved a week, three days passed, and the aurora-chasing team had no success.
But the polar regions also have their own scenic beauty. On days when they didn't see the aurora, everyone saw various stars.
They also encountered all kinds of Pokémon.
Families of Spheal, families of Piplup, as well as Houndoom used as sled dogs by the locals, and the most common Snorunt, Avalugg, Ice Nine Tails, and so on.
In the mountains, they would occasionally encounter Froslass.
“We’ve been looking for days and still haven’t found it.” Song Ling’er was also a bit frustrated.
The path to finding the aurora is not easy. Although most places can be reached by car, some parts still require walking.
In these three days, everyone walked through three different areas, which were also the three locations aurora hunters believed were most likely to find the aurora.
As for the rest, it depended on everyone's luck.
Tonight was the same; they waited for several hours. After several consecutive nights, everyone was already exhausted, and even the camera operators started taking turns resting.
The seven celebrity guests had long since returned to their tents to rest.
Cai Ming, being older, couldn't endure such a ordeal, and even the younger ones like Song Ling’er and Mu Li were almost at their physical limits.
“Do we really have to see this aurora?” Xin Zilei complained after taking a sip of hot water.
The director team expressed their helplessness.
The environment in Ice Country itself doesn't offer much to film; ordinary scenery isn't really a highlight. Only the topic of the aurora could provide a perfect conclusion for the show.
Everyone knew this, so they were only complaining, and no one seriously said they wanted to leave.
Once his body was a little warmer, Mu Li invited Fu Peiyao to go for a stroll outside.
The two, accompanied by a cameraman, left the temporarily set up camp.
Everything at the camp was fine, except for the overly strong lighting, but this was for filming, so it couldn't be helped.
The strong light made it impossible to observe the stars in the sky; they could only see the stars clearly when they came to a relatively darker area.
The environment near the Arctic Circle was truly beautiful. The sky looked incredibly clear, and the stars seemed to be right before their eyes, as if they could reach out and touch them at any moment.
“No matter how many times I see it, I’m always amazed by this sky full of stars,” Fu Peiyao murmured, trying to reach out her right hand towards the starry sky.
“Me too, this scene is truly beautiful,” Mu Li nodded, “If only it weren’t so cold…”
As someone from Yangcheng, Mu Li couldn't tolerate any cold.
However, strolling in this environment, Mu Li’s heart wasn’t that resistant, especially with Fu Peiyao by his side.
But before the two could enjoy their romantic moment for long, the camp started to get noisy.
Mu Li frowned, looked at the cameraman beside him, and asked, “Did something happen?”
The cameraman quickly received a message: “Something happened with Song Ling’er’s filming. Zhang Ruoyun, Li Xian, and Song Ling’er accidentally slipped down a hillside while going out to see the night view, and they’ve disappeared.”
Mu Li and Fu Peiyao exchanged glances, immediately summoned Togekiss, grabbed a GoPro, and flew towards the accident site.
“Are you sure they disappeared here?” Mu Li quickly arrived at the location where the three had the accident.
The accompanying cameraman quickly nodded: “The moment I looked away, they were gone. I only saw some sliding marks, but it’s covered by heavy snow down there, and I didn’t see any trace of them!”
Mu Li frowned tightly, looking down the snow slope.
There didn’t seem to be any cliffs below the snow slope, which might be hidden by the snow above. There could be terrain like ice caves below.
Mu Li looked at the others and said, “Five minutes have passed now. I don’t know what the environment is like down there, and we can’t delay any longer. I’ll go down and check first.”
Li Chao, the director of the production team, immediately stopped Mu Li: “What’s the use of you going down? Let’s wait for professional rescuers to come.”
Mu Li frowned and said, “It’s fine. I have Gengar and Gardevoir with me. They will protect me.”
With Gardevoir present, Mu Li could indeed handle most situations.
Seeing that Li Chao was still hesitant, Mu Li shook his head and slid directly down the snow slope.
“Mu Li!” everyone exclaimed, but the next second, Mu Li, who was still sliding on the snow slope, suddenly disappeared, as if he had plunged into the heavy snow.
Mu Li only felt his body sink, and the next moment, his vision went dark. His body directly hit a layer of ice, and he seemed to have arrived on a large ice slide formed by ice blocks.
Affected by gravity, Mu Li’s body slid down rapidly, and this slide lasted for one or two minutes.
But now he was extremely vigilant. His only concern was the end of this slide.
If the end was a snowfield, that would be fine, but if it was a cliff, then Song Ling’er and the other two…
Mu Li quickly patted his face to stop himself from overthinking.
After a while, he saw some faint light.
Is this the end?
Mu Li felt his sliding speed suddenly accelerate, and after a rush, he was directly thrown into the air.
“This is…” Even in the air, he clearly saw the surrounding environment.
This was similar to a huge ice cave, and below him was a thick pile of snow.
Gardevoir appeared beside him, and Mu Li’s figure began to float in the air.
Mu Li looked at the opening he came from; it seemed to have been designed that way. There were several other similar openings, and beneath each opening, thick snow and ice had accumulated, as if to prevent anyone or any Pokémon flying out of the opening from getting hurt.
Mu Li tried it, but the walkie-talkie and mobile phone were already unusable. This place seemed to cut off all means of communication.
“You go contact them and report that we’re safe.”
The next moment, Gardevoir disappeared directly.
Mu Li observed the surroundings again, seeing several lines of footprints extending from the snow pile at the opening into the interior of the cave.
Mu Li briefly judged that they should be the footprints of Zhang Ruoyun and his group of three.
Upon seeing the footprints, Mu Li breathed a sigh of relief; at least the three were fine.
Two minutes later, just as Mu Li was wondering why Gardevoir hadn't returned, three figures flew out of the opening again.
Mu Li looked closely, and besides Gardevoir, Fu Peiyao and the cameraman who followed him had also come.
“Why did you two come too…” Mu Li said helplessly.
He suddenly realized that Li Chao was quite bold to let Fu Peiyao, that girl, run around like this, and even bring a cameraman.
But now was not the time to talk about that. He told them what he had observed.
“Let’s go find Brother Ruoyun and the others first, otherwise, I’m worried they might encounter danger.”
