Chapter 64: Remarks on the launch

Hmm, it's on the shelves... I'm a little dazed...

It feels like only yesterday I was writing my Sanjiang declaration. (If only that were true, it would mean I could write twenty-five chapters in a day~)

Let's start with the usual seriousness:

Thanks to Editor-in-Chief Chang Tian, my editor Mudskipper, and editor Pointer, who is always willing to chat with me~ Thanks to all of you, Quadruple Split was able to be seen by so many people.

Thanks to every reader who clicked on this book and didn't close it quickly. It's an honor to witness the growth of Quadruple Split with all of you. I hope we can go further and further together. You are always the driving force behind my creation. (My previous driving force was procrastination, but I finally decided to give up on treatment.)

A perfunctory thanks to a certain anonymous Black Hand comrade. He starts work at six o'clock but often stays up with me until two or three in the morning discussing the plot, fooling everyone in the group (helpless), routinely badmouthing me (gritting my teeth), and was the first to top up on Qidian to subscribe to the main text, which he'd basically read the drafts of (Thank you very much!)... I'll buy milk powder for your unborn child...

Well, the more serious content ends here.

Now let's just chat casually~ I don't think I'll open many single chapters in the future~ Although I occasionally joke around in the group, opportunities to say something in such a formal setting are not common~

I was startled by myself, truly...

More than two months ago, Quadruple Split was just a wild idea, a not-so-reliable concept, a story that might only exist in my imagination~

But now it has gradually become a complete work, and unknowingly, it has become a part of my life, which means that whenever I don't cut off a chapter, I feel like something is missing from my day...

If this book can be lucky enough to become a part of your lives (I hope this part doesn't include urging for updates or wholesale blades...), then it is valuable~

I am not a qualified novelist. I have severe procrastination, write slowly, almost never have bursts of inspiration (important point), don't like asking for votes, rewards, or dried fish, habitually go off-topic, am addicted to cliffhangers, and am prone to tearing up drafts...

I can't even control the characters I write. Rather than me writing their stories, it's more like they are leading me.

Suddenly I feel a bit sentimental, but for me, whether it's Mo Tan, or Black Vatican, Tan Mo, Mo, Ink, Shuang Ye, Ned, or Xiang Lin... I mean, Cordova, they are all my companions, and they are much more excellent than me. Creating these characters does not mean becoming their god, although the author has almost god-like authority (but still gets lost when going out alone)...

I feel more like a clumsy Bard, telling stories to my listeners, rather than a God who can toy with fate in this story.

Perhaps I am just a beginner in the field of novels (an extremely out-of-place BGM plays here), but I will still try my best to do what I can...

Well, an author who is very proud of not breaking updates is really embarrassing~

Thank you to everyone who is willing to listen to my stories. Although I am not a qualified author, you are the best readers, after all... to tolerate someone like me, you must have a very big heart...

In short, I will continue to write this story at my own pace~

I believe this will be a wonderful journey~ Because... uh, saying it like this is too cliché... but it's truly because you are accompanying me~

I feel good now, like looking in a mirror without my glasses on...

This feeling usually lasts until I wake up the next morning and realize I owe another 4000 words...

Well then, roundabout ending... I apologize, I couldn't help myself. This declaration (?) ends here for now~

There will be an extra chapter today! (Puffs out chest, raises head, puts hands on hips)

I hope everyone can support the legitimate version as much as possible~ (After all, I don't have any other requests~)

By the way, here's an advertisement for the reader group: 226764250~ (But now everyone seems to prefer WeChat, actually, so do I...)

Well then~ See you in the main text~
