Chapter 1: The Beautiful Maid's Handbook

“You will sleep on the couch tonight. If I find out you have other intentions, I will kill you.”

A pleasant yet utterly cold voice came from above. A Rao, who had just entered this body, slightly lowered her eyebrows and meekly responded, “This servant obeys.”

Though her voice was soft, it seemed to carry a tenderness and charm that could melt one’s heart, causing the man’s eyes to subtly shift.

Seeing the man lie down on the bed, A Rao, following the body’s instincts, lowered the bed curtains, then turned and walked to the small couch by the window, lying down fully clothed.

The surroundings were quiet, and A Rao finally had the chance to receive memories. The recollections and grievances belonging to this body instantly flooded her.

The original owner was also named A Rao, a servant in Prince Jin’s Manor. Three years ago, Prince Jin married, but after three years, Prince Jin’s Consort remained childless. De Consort, Prince Jin’s mother in the palace, was displeased and decided to choose someone else to serve her son.

Prince Jin’s Consort, Gu Shui Rou, whom Prince Jin had fallen in love with at first sight and recklessly pursued, did not like Prince Jin, yet she enjoyed the man’s meticulous care for her and did not want her possession to be occupied by others. Therefore, she casually picked two maids from the manor to be concubines and sent them to Front Yard.

The original owner was one of the chosen maids. The original owner had no ambition to climb the social ladder; she only wanted to save enough money to buy her freedom. After being forced to become a concubine, the original owner was also well-behaved and did not approach Prince Jin by half a step.

Unexpectedly, even so, Gu Shui Rou still regarded her as an eyesore. After Prince Jin left the manor for official business, Gu Shui Rou sent people to drug the original owner, stripped her naked, and placed her with a beggar from outside the manor, falsely accusing her of having an affair.

The original owner’s innocence was ruined, and she was forcibly married to the beggar by Gu Shui Rou. She refused at all costs, eventually gritting her teeth and cruelly smashing her head against a wall, killing herself.

Her resentment was immense and was absorbed by A Rao, who decided to fulfill her wish—since she died tragically, she would indeed climb the social ladder. Not only that, she would also make Prince Jin fall in love with her and exact fierce revenge on Gu Shui Rou.

The reason Prince Jin had no offspring was because he had oligozoospermia, making it difficult to bear children. However, after their marriage, Gu Shui Rou detested Prince Jin and refused his advances many times, which was why this reason was never discovered.

A Rao was a novice. She was originally an ordinary little grass spirit, mocked by the other spirits around her. She decided to cultivate to become an immortal, but the heavenly lightning struck her, leaving her disfigured. The Barrenness System bound her, taking her to three thousand worlds to complete good pregnancy missions.

As long as the mission was completed and merit accumulated, in time, she would be able to cultivate to become an immortal—a profitable deal with no losses.

The next morning, A Rao opened her eyes. She quietly got off the couch and tidied herself, waiting to serve Prince Jin.

At this moment, the door opened, and Cui Ping, a maid dressed in red and green, walked in swaying her waist, carrying a basin of hot water.

Prince Jin sat up. Cui Ping immediately stepped forward and hooked open the bed curtains, her voice deliberately high-pitched and gentle, “Your Highness, this servant will help you get up.”

The deliberately softened voice made Prince Jin frown. He unconsciously recalled the voice he had somewhat liked last night. He looked up and saw the young girl, dressed in a blue dress, standing obediently not far away, her head bowed, appearing somewhat dull.

Prince Jin detested foolish people the most, but feeling Cui Ping’s fumbling movements on him, his handsome face turned cold, “Get out!”

Cui Ping was startled by the harsh voice, her delicate body trembling. Her face turned pale as she knelt on the ground, then heard the man’s impatient voice from above, “Get out, didn’t you hear me?”

Cui Ping was too scared to stay. She ran as fast as if her feet were oiled, but the man’s voice sounded behind her.

“What are you standing there for? Are you waiting for me to invite you?”

Cui Ping subconsciously looked behind her and saw A Rao, the ugly girl she had always disdained, walk up to the Prince and help him change his clothes.

Oh, good! She looked unremarkable, but in reality, she was a cheap hussy trying to seduce the Prince! No wonder the Prince wanted her to serve him last night!

A Rao felt Cui Ping’s malice. Her fair, smooth hands carefully moved through the clothes, standing on tiptoe to help the man dress.

She carefully avoided getting too close, a gesture that made the man’s brow relax for a moment. A faint scent suddenly wafted into his nostrils.

Upon closer inspection, it was from this servant’s body.

Seducing him?

Prince Jin’s eyes sharpened. He grabbed A Rao’s wrist, “What perfume did you put on your body?”

The young girl was startled, her pale face instinctively lifted. Her moist, deer-like eyes, when looking at him, carried an unconscious hint of allure.

Prince Jin slightly narrowed his eyes, then leaned close to A Rao, his voice uncertain, “Do you want to seduce me?”

Her fingertips were smooth and delicate, causing him to unconsciously caress them for a moment.

No sooner had he spoken than the young girl, whose wrist was held, frantically knelt on the ground, kowtowing, her voice filled with panic and fear, “This servant wouldn’t dare, this servant wouldn’t dare! This servant is of humble birth, I wouldn’t dare to cling to Your Highness!”

Such a strong reaction, however, made Prince Jin frown with a hint of displeasure. He disliked others seducing him; he only liked his Consort.

But A Rao’s reaction, as if seducing him was like going to hell, actually sparked a mischievous thought in him.

“You are very good. You will still serve me tonight.”

He emphasized the words “serve me,” and indeed saw the young girl’s trembling posture. From his elevated position, he realized that the young girl’s waist was slender enough to be grasped with one hand, and her neck was as delicate as ivory, truly possessing good skin.

“Am I a man-eating beast?”

The young girl carefully shook her head.

“Then why are you so afraid of me? Is it because I am capricious and cruel?”

The young girl trembled even more, practically prostrating herself on the ground. This time, she didn’t even dare to respond.

The atmosphere became quiet for a moment. After an unknown period, the man’s clear, mischievous voice finally came from above, “Then you are willing to serve me?”

Without waiting for the servant’s reply, Prince Jin had already strode out, “You love to kneel so much, then keep kneeling.”

Shui Rou must be awake by now; he needed to go to the Main Courtyard to have a meal with her.

Main Courtyard—

Gu Shui Rou had just gotten up. She had married into the Prince’s Manor with no mother-in-law to suppress her, and her husband was handsome and gentle, devoted to her. A normal person would be incredibly happy, but Gu Shui Rou was not.

It was simply because she did not like Prince Jin. The reason she married Prince Jin was merely because her family background was not prominent, and she could not refuse.

As she was dressing, a servant came to announce that the Prince had arrived.

A trace of impatience flashed in Gu Shui Rou’s eyes, “Did the Prince make use of those maids this Princess selected?”

Her personal maid, Ru Yan, chuckled and shook her head, “The Prince only has the Princess in his heart. Yesterday, to put on a show for De Consort’s people, he called one of the maids into the room, but the servants below said they didn’t hear any sounds, and instead said the Prince didn’t allow that lowly girl to get on the couch!”

Gu Shui Rou gave a light laugh upon hearing this, showing some satisfaction with Prince Jin’s good sense.

Her man, even if she didn’t like him, she would not allow any other cheap hussy to covet him.
