Chapter 29: Gains

After speaking, Zhou Cang pulled the military bayonet from Wang Li's chest and backhanded it through Wang Fang's neck.

Blood spurted out, Wang Li tightly covered the wound on his neck with both hands. The triangular military bayonet caused a penetrating wound and also severed his carotid artery.

Even with immediate surgery, it would be impossible to stop his life from rapidly draining away.

In less than half a minute, Wang Fang was silent.

The notorious bandits Erlang, have met their end here!

Zhou Cang wiped the bloodstains off the military bayonet on Wang Fang's body and picked up the rifle from the ground.

He put the safety on and slung it over his back along with his own rifle.

In his hand, he carried the shotgun. It wasn't that he liked using it; it just didn't have a strap, so he had to hold it for now.

He also pulled out a pile of bullets from the pockets of their clothes, and Zhou Cang unceremoniously took them.

But the biggest surprise was that Wang Fang had a pistol on his lower back!

A Type 54 pistol, 7.62mm caliber, 8-round magazine capacity, effective range 50 meters.

This gun was a product of China's imitation of the former Soviet TT1930/1933 pistol in 1954.

Although its accuracy was average, its power was significant; it could penetrate a 3mm thick iron plate within 25 meters!

Carrying it as a secondary weapon was quite good.

Only over thirty pistol rounds were found on Wang Fang's body. Although it was a bit few, the bullets for this gun weren't hard to find. He could just buy some from the Black Market when he ran out.

Old Sun has everything!

As for the shotgun and rifle, Zhou Cang was prepared to hand them over to the authorities.

He himself now had a hunting rifle and a Type 56 semi-automatic rifle, and now this Type 54 pistol as well.

And a pile of explosives!

With this firepower configuration, it's no exaggeration to say it was enough for him to fight a small battle.

When hunting in the mountains, he was practically a mobile human artillery platform!

Xiao Bai (Little White) quietly watched Zhou Cang from the side. After seeing the danger was resolved, it rushed forward, bit Wang Fang's pant leg, and shook it fiercely a few times.

With a series of bared teeth and grimaces, it fully displayed its might.

Zhou Cang squatted down, tapped the Little Fox's forehead, took out a piece of jerky to feed it, and pointed at Wang Fang's body, saying,

"Alright, stop acting. Smell these two people. Can you find the cave where they live?"

The Little Fox twitched its nose, twisted its body, and quickly ran in one direction.

Seeing this, Zhou Cang quickly took long strides and followed behind.

One person and one fox darted and leaped through the forest. Even at full speed, the Little Fox couldn't shake off Zhou Cang.

After running for about ten minutes, a hidden cave appeared before Zhou Cang.

The Wang brothers had blocked the less-than-man-high cave entrance with a pile of bushes, making it difficult to see from the outside.

If it weren't for the Little Fox leading the way, this cave would have been really hard to find.

"Are there any living things inside?" Zhou Cang lowered his head and asked the Little Fox.

"Chirp chirp!"

The Little Fox lowered its head and squeezed through a gap in the bushes.

Seeing this, Zhou Cang quickly pulled the bushes aside to create a passage. He then found a dry branch nearby, wrapped a waxed cloth strip around it, took out a match, and lit it.

Although the Little Fox daring to enter meant there shouldn't be any wild beasts inside, Zhou Cang still didn't dare to be careless.

Holding the torch in his left hand and the shotgun in his right, he slowly bent down and entered the cave.

It was fine just inside the entrance, but the further he went, the darker it got, and gradually only the faint light of the torch remained.

There were some campfire embers near the entrance, indicating this was where the Wang brothers had been hiding.

After entering the cave for about twenty to thirty meters, there was a slightly wider, open area.

The smell inside the cave wasn't too bad; it seemed a slight breeze could enter. There were clear signs of human habitation here.

The Little Fox circled a large stone a few times and scratched the stone with its claws.

Seeing this, Zhou Cang walked over, moved the stone, and beneath it was a bulging canvas bag.

He stuck the torch to the side, and Zhou Cang slowly opened the canvas bag.

"Whoa!"

A pile of banknotes, food stamps, and quite a few gold rings and bracelets!

Good heavens, these two brothers didn't rob a little!

After a moment's thought, Zhou Cang dug a pit under the stone with the military bayonet and buried the canvas bag underneath.

After covering it with dirt, he moved the large stone back on top to press it down.

"Let's go! Let's go back and continue fishing!" Zhou Cang walked out of the cave with a satisfied look.

After the Little Fox crawled out, he restored the bushes to their original state, and even added a little more to make the entrance even more concealed.

Zhou Cang returned to the small lake to wait. He knew that Zhang Quanfu would definitely bring people as quickly as possible.

Sure enough, not long after, a large group of villagers rushed out of the woods, all holding guns.

Leading the way was Zhao Kaishan. He saw Zhou Cang sitting on the ice from a distance, shouted, and ran over, with Zhang Quanfu close behind.

"Fugui!"

Zhou Cang looked up and smiled, "Here I am, Captain!"

Zhao Kaishan held his gun and asked nervously, "Where are they?"

Zhou Cang pointed in the direction of the woods, "Dealt with, over there."

After speaking, he got up and led the way, returning to the place where he had just fought Erlang.

When everyone saw the bodies of the Wang brothers, they all gasped!

They all stared at Zhou Cang, their eyes filled with disbelief.

This Fugui, he killed the fugitives?

How old is he? Not yet twenty, right?

Zhao Kaishan pointed at the bodies on the ground and asked tremblingly, "Did you kill both of them?"

"Oh, yes, Xiao Bai (Little White) also helped!" Zhou Cang said, pointing to the Little Fox clinging to his leg.

With so many people, the Little Fox was a bit nervous and clung tightly to Zhou Cang.

Zhao Kaishan just took it as nonsense and squatted down to examine the bodies.

Two bodies, one died from blood loss from a knife wound to the chest, and the other was shot, but the fatal wound was likely the stab to the neck.

Judging from the wounds, they were all caused by a triangular bayonet, which was the military bayonet on Zhou Cang's gun!

There was nothing to doubt. Zhao Kaishan knew that Zhou Cang was very talented with both knives and guns.

Killing a wolf for the first time was like killing a chicken, but that wasn't as shocking as killing people!

"One against two!"

"Captain, these are their guns, take them!" Zhou Cang handed the rifle on his shoulder and the shotgun in his hand to Zhao Kaishan.

"One against two! And the opponents had guns!"

What kind of combat power was this!

He knew that killing someone with a gun was not the same thing as stabbing someone through the neck with a knife.

Killing at a distance and close-quarters combat, not many people these days have this kind of experience!

The opponents were also nationally renowned fierce bandits!

"Captain, stop being shocked, what should we do with these two?" Zhou Cang pointed at the bodies on the ground.

Zhao Kaishan waved his hand, "We can't just leave them here. Take them back and hand them over to the Public Security Bureau for identification!"

"Good boy!" He hammered Zhou Cang's shoulder, "This time, you're definitely getting merit and an award! You're really something!"

"Hehe, Captain, since everyone is here anyway, let's help fish a bit. We can all have fish stew tonight!"

"......"

Zhao Kaishan was truly impressed this time. He had just killed two fierce bandits and could still joke around, thinking about catching fish to share with everyone.

Was this kid the reincarnation of a killing god?
