Chapter 135: Li Yu's decision

Blue skies, white clouds, and a gentle breeze.

On the other side.

Amidst the road, beneath the cliff.

Several cars were scattered haphazardly, some smoking, some stuck at the edge of the road, and one even overturned.

The car windows were stained with fresh blood, and the car bodies had noticeable bullet holes.

Over a dozen corpses lay on the ground, their blood still gushing, forming small pools.

All of this seemed to scream of the massacre that had just occurred!

Li Yu looked at the bodies on the ground; Yang Tianlong and the others were already down there checking and counting the numbers.

Li Yu and the others slid down from the cliff; it wasn't very high, so it was easy for them to descend.

"Xiao Yu, there's a live one here!" Li Yu had just landed when he heard Yang Tianlong shout from nearby.

Everyone quickly went over, and only upon getting closer did they realize it was Mao Ge, who, whether by luck or by choosing an excellent position, was lying under a car completely unharmed.

When Yang Tianlong discovered him, an awkward expression appeared on Mao Ge's face. Li Yu waved his hand, telling him to come out, while Li Tie, Li Hang, and the others continued to search for anyone still alive, finishing them off!

Finishing them off was something Li Yu had told everyone to pay attention to ever since Hao Ge.

Now, Li Tie and the others put away their guns, took out their spears, and finished off each one.

Mao Ge emerged from under the car, first despairing, then angry, and finally seemed to accept his fate. He then forced a smile and said, "Uh, this, me, you are, is this a misunderstanding between us?"

Li Yu saw several expressions change on Mao Ge's face in a short time, but he had no particular thoughts or any intention of answering.

The reason he hadn't killed Mao Ge yet was that Li Yu wanted to learn some things about the Salvation Army from him.

Li Yu had always disliked being sought out by others; whenever there was someone who threatened him, he would find a way to go out and eliminate any potential threats.

Just as he was about to open his mouth to ask, he saw Zhao Dapao and the others about ten meters away. Zhao Dapao was carrying a woman on his back, surrounded by a circle of women, and they were all running towards him at high speed.

So he went to meet them. Li Tie, who was nearby, also saw Da Pao and his group and went to meet them.

"Yu Ge, Song Min is injured. A man, a martial artist, ran past just now, and Song Min took three stabs to block him. Her condition is quite serious now. If it weren't for her, that Salvation Army member would have probably escaped." Zhao Dapao ran up to Li Yu, and before he could even catch his breath, he quickly explained the situation in a few words.

Upon hearing this, Li Yu felt a mix of emotions. He had said before not to let any Salvation Army member escape. For Song Min to try so hard, risking injury to block this Salvation Army member...

Li Yu told Li Tie, who had gathered around, to go directly to the car and get the first aid kit. He gently laid Song Min down on the ground, and Xiao Lata stepped forward to help treat the wound.

Li Yu saw the rather deep wounds on Song Min's body, and a decision seemed to form in his mind.

Turning his head, he saw the women gathered around Song Min. Li Yu had seen these women before. Although they were all female, their ability to survive in this man-eating apocalypse proved a lot. A long time ago, Li Yu had also seen them fighting zombies, and they were indeed not weak.

Women are as capable as men.

These women now looked at Song Min with concerned expressions.

Teacher Liu and two female students were nearby. They were somewhat shocked to see the bodies scattered on the ground, but they quickly recovered; it wasn't the first time they had seen Li Yu and his group kill people.

After looking around, Li Hang and Yang Tianlong walked over and said to Li Yu, "We just counted the numbers; everyone is here, including the man who went to the forest near the farmland. Now, except for Mao Ge, everyone else is dead."

After speaking, Yang Tianlong looked at Mao Ge with a fierce expression.

Just then, Xiao Lata, who was treating the wound, said, "It's bandaged, but this is just emergency treatment. The wound is too deep, and it's still bleeding. We need to find a better place for professional treatment."

Upon hearing this, Li Yu told Li Hang and the others to drive the cars over. After inspecting the cars the Salvation Army had been driving, they only found two that were still usable.

"Da Pao, Tie Zi, Gang Zi, Xiao Hang, you guys handle this place. Move the bodies elsewhere and clean up the battlefield."

Then, he turned back to Yang Tianlong and Xiao Lata and said, "Let's go back first and take Song Min back to save her!"

After saying this, he looked at the young girls beside Song Min, their eyes sharp, and without a hint of emotion in his voice, he slowly said, "You all, come along."

Upon hearing these words, both the young girls and Song Qi, Teacher Liu, and the others felt an immense surge of joy. Through these few interactions, they clearly understood what kind of existence the organization led by Li Yu was.

It was powerful, fierce, and domineering, yet it also carried a glimmer of humanity, having helped them many times before.

Therefore, Song Min and the others desperately wanted to join Li Yu and his group, especially Song Min's younger brother, Song Qi, who practically idolized Li Yu. However, they had never had the chance to say so.

Now, Li Yu had proactively invited them to his base. Although he hadn't directly said he wanted them to join, it was close enough; otherwise, he wouldn't have asked them to come.

Soon, Yang Tianlong and Li Hang drove two cars over, but the two cars couldn't fit too many people. Song Min's group had a total of 10 sisters, plus Teacher Liu and two female students, and Song Qi. That made a total of 14 people.

On site, Li Yu, Yang Tianlong, and Li Hang could all drive, but fitting so many people would be a bit crowded.

Before Li Yu could speak, the little fatty who often followed Song Min—no, she wasn't fat anymore—volunteered, "I'll stay behind and help clean up the battlefield here."

Teacher Liu looked at Song Min, raised her hand, and said she would also stay. Then a few other girls said they would also stay to help clean up, even though they were very worried about Song Min's safety, it was clear they couldn't do anything at the moment.

They could only hope that the base where Li Yu was, a base they had never been to, would have a more professional medical room to treat Song Min's wounds.

Li Yu was a bit surprised, looking at the serious expressions of these women, and finally nodded, saying okay.

In the end, Teacher Liu and four girls stayed behind to help with the cleanup, while everyone else got into the cars.

There were three cars in total. Li Yu and Xiao Lata were in one car, then Song Min was in the car, with Song Qi and another young girl sitting beside her.

Another car had Yang Tianlong, with a few women. Finally, one of the girls also knew how to drive and took the remaining people.

Song Min's situation was somewhat critical. With saving lives as the primary goal, Li Yu gave a few instructions to Li Tie, then drove off with everyone towards the base.

The base itself wasn't too far from the county town, only a few tens of kilometers, which could be reached in about twenty minutes by car.

However, the area where Li Yu was located was originally a mountainous and hilly terrain in the south, with many forests.

Although Li Yu and his group were not far from the National Highway, they still had to turn from the National Highway onto a small village road, and then pass through a hidden small path to reach the base.

If one only passed by on the National Highway, it would be difficult to notice this small village road, and even if they saw this small village road, it would be hard to notice the even more inconspicuous small path hundreds of meters behind the village road.
