Chapter 5: First victory

Sun Sheng was oblivious to the noise, his eyes as calm as water as he surveyed the entire venue.

This was the starting point.

The most primitive, the roughest, and also the most real combat.

His blood began to subtly boil.

Zhang Lei patted his shoulder, his expression somewhat grave.

"Don't be nervous, remember what I told you. Use your speed and sense of distance to control him. Don't try to go head-to-head with him in strength."

"Understood." Sun Sheng nodded.

His opponent was quickly determined.

A burly man, nearly one meter ninety tall and weighing at least ninety kilograms.

He had a fierce bald head, a blue leopard tattooed over his left shoulder, and a ferocious look in his eyes.

Everyone around called him "Bao Ge," reportedly the ace bodyguard of a famous nightclub in the city, known for his ruthless fighting style.

The odds were quickly released.

Bao Ge, 1:1.3.

Sun Sheng, 1:5.

The disparate odds clearly reflected everyone's opinion of the match.

"Kid, it's not too late to regret it now."

Bao Ge stepped onto the stage, pointed a thick finger at Sun Sheng's chest, and sneered, "Don't cry for your mommy later."

Sun Sheng didn't speak, just watched him quietly, his gaze like he was looking at a dead object.

"Clang!"

With a piercing gong sound, the match began!

Bao Ge didn't probe at all, letting out a beast-like roar, charging forward like a human tank!

His massive fist swung in a semicircle, carrying a whistling wind, and slammed heavily towards Sun Sheng's head!

The audience below gasped in excitement, seemingly already envisioning the bloody scene of this thin kid being knocked out with one punch.

However, the next second, everyone's eyes widened.

Facing this powerful and heavy punch, Sun Sheng's body merely swayed slightly to the left.

An incredibly small sidestep!

Bao Ge's fist almost grazed his nose as it swung past, the strong wind it generated messing up his bangs.

Missing a blow, Bao Ge was somewhat surprised, and he immediately followed up with a right hook!

Sun Sheng's body was like a willow swaying in the wind, performing another perfectly timed lean back, easily dodging again.

For the next thirty seconds, a scene that stunned everyone unfolded on the stage.

Bao Ge, like a madman, launched a storm-like offensive.

Swing punches, straight punches, hooks, each punch heavier than the last, making the air whistle with sound.

And Sun Sheng, was like a ghost.

He moved within that small ring, using the smallest range of movement and the most effortless evasion techniques to neutralize all of Bao Ge's attacks one by one.

Sometimes he sidestepped, sometimes he ducked, sometimes he swayed, sometimes he retreated.

His footwork was light and precise, each movement perfectly on the edge of Bao Ge's attack range.

Bao Ge's fists were always just one or two centimeters away from his body.

That feeling was driving Bao Ge himself almost insane!

He clearly felt he was about to hit, but the opponent was like a slippery loach, always managing to slip away at the last moment of his punch!

The laughter from below gradually died down, replaced by a dead silence.

Everyone was dumbfounded.

This was no longer fighting; this was art! This was toying!

Zhang Lei stood below, his palms already drenched in sweat, but his eyes gleamed with an incredibly fervent light.

He knew he had found a treasure!

A true Genius!!!

The gong signaling the end of the first round sounded.

Bao Ge was panting like an ox, dripping with sweat; his previous fierce offensive had consumed a lot of his physical strength.

Meanwhile, Sun Sheng, across from him, breathed steadily, without even a drop of sweat on his forehead.

"Kid, do you only know how to dodge?"

Bao Ge gasped, trying to provoke Sun Sheng with trash talk.

Sun Sheng finally spoke, his voice very calm.

"No, I'm just waiting for you to run out of strength."

"Clang!"

The gong for the second round sounded again.

Bao Ge roared and lunged forward once more.

But this time, his speed and strength were clearly a notch below the first round.

His movements, under Sun Sheng's Godlike Reflexes, became even slower, and his flaws even clearer.

Now!

The moment Bao Ge threw a full-power right swing punch, leaving his center wide open.

Sun Sheng moved!

He no longer dodged, but instead stepped half a pace forward, meeting his opponent's attack!

His body sank slightly, twisting his waist, thrusting his hip, and punching!

All the power, in an instant, converged on his right fist!

This was not a heavy punch aimed at the head.

But a tricky-angled, lightning-fast uppercut!

Target — Bao Ge's right rib cage, the liver area!

"Thud!"

A dull, heavy thud, like striking leather!

Sun Sheng's fist hit the target with pinpoint accuracy!

Time, at this moment, seemed to stand still.

Bao Ge's massive body suddenly stiffened, the sneer on his face instantly frozen.

The next second, his fierce face contorted with intense pain, and veins bulged on his forehead.

An irresistible, electric-shock-like agony instantly spread throughout his body from his liver area!

His strength, his consciousness, his breathing, seemed to be completely drained by this single punch.

"Uh..."

Bao Ge let out a painful groan, his legs gave out, and his massive body collapsed to the ground like a pile of mud.

He clutched his right ribs tightly with both hands, his body curled into a ball, twitching uncontrollably like a shrimp scalded by boiling water, yet unable to even scream.

One strike!

Just one strike!

A liver shot precise to the millimeter!

The entire factory floor was dead silent.

Everyone looked as if their throats were choked, staring blankly at the slender young man on the stage, who still held his punching pose.

And the massive figure struggling in pain at his feet.

The stark contrast created an indescribable visual impact!

A few seconds later, a thunderous roar of gasps and screams erupted!

"Holy shit! KO'd?"

"One punch! Just one punch!"

"Where the hell did he hit? How could it be so powerful!"

"Kung Fu! This is real Kung Fu!!!"

Sun Sheng slowly retracted his fist and calmly glanced at Bao Ge, who was twitching on the ground.

There was no joy of victory on his face.

For him, this was just a simple test.

He was very satisfied with the test results.

He turned around and, amidst a sea of stunned gazes, stepped down from the stage and approached Zhang Lei.

"Coach, I'm done."

Zhang Lei's lips trembled with excitement, and he slapped Sun Sheng's shoulder heavily, his eyes bloodshot.

"Good kid! Well done! You're a fucking... Genius!"

That night, Sun Sheng received a two-thousand-yuan cash bonus.

He also acquired a temporary nickname, "Kung Fu Kid."

Sun Sheng didn't particularly like this nickname; wasn't that Song Yadong's nickname?

Besides, what part of his fighting technique had anything to do with Kung Fu?

These people can't even come up with good nicknames!!!
