Chapter 4: Failure to condense Qi and blood

Zhao Qi sold 170,000, while Lin Ye sold 390,000.

Lin Ye and Zhao Qi both bought two portions of Qi and Blood Soup Medicine from Chen An, and Chen An even added Lin Ye's contact information.

Because of his low Aptitude, the school teachers almost let Lin Ye do as he pleased; even if he did not attend class, no teacher would question him.

Lin Ye returned home, his excited emotions not yet completely settled.

The Qi and Blood Soup Medicine in his hand had raw Materials sourced from relics, but there was no text labeling on them.

Lin Ye speculated that artificially synthesized items could not be labeled.

In the evening, Lin Ye transferred 100,000 to his parents.

Lin and Lin, his parents, heard the transfer notification and anxiously looked at Lin Ye.

Lin, his mother, ran out of the kitchen with a spatula, "Yezi, where did this 100,000 come from? You must not do anything illegal."

Lin, his father, also looked worried, "Our family is not that difficult; your parents will find a way for your tuition fees."

"Don't worry about the Qi and Blood Soup Medicine either; I will go borrow some from your eldest uncle's family then."

Seeing his parents so nervous, Lin Ye quickly smiled and said in a relaxed tone, "Don't worry, this money came from a legitimate source. Zhao Qi's cousin discovered a wild relic, and Zhao Qi took me to dig for Spirit Medicine."

"This money was obtained from selling Spirit Medicine, and I even kept some to buy Qi and Blood Soup Medicine."

"There's even less need to worry about Ye Yunxi and Lin Rong's tuition fees. It seems I possess a very special talent. In a while, I estimate that Martial Artists from mercenary groups will contact me, and then our family will not lack money."

The statement about not lacking money was a bit exaggerated, but it certainly would not be as tight as it was now.

Lin Ye's younger sister Ye Yunxi and Lin Rong are twins; Ye Yunxi takes her mother's surname.

Lin Rong was born before Ye Yunxi. Because they were twins, both of them were frail from a young age and had to take medicine to recuperate their bodies whenever the seasons changed.

Lin Ye explained for a long time before Lin and Lin, his parents, believed that Lin Ye had not done anything illegal. They belatedly thought of Lin Ye's special talent, and their mouths were almost splitting from smiling.

After their joy, Lin and Lin, his parents, were very rational and told Lin Ye to keep his special talent a secret for now.

"The public order in the Outer City is not good. If everyone is equally mediocre, they are naturally good neighbors."

"A few years ago, Old Qin's family had a Martial Artist relative, and as a result, their family was inexplicably envied. Old Qin even broke his leg when he went out."

Lin Ye was also a little silent upon hearing this. Only by registering as a Martial Artist with the Federal Government was one qualified to live in the Inner City, and houses in the Inner City were extremely expensive, only available for purchase, not rent.

Online, it was said that the cheapest three-bedroom, one-living-room apartment required over 100 million.

Lin Ye looked at his parents, whose faces were marked by the vicissitudes of life, and quietly promised in his heart.

'I promise, our family will live in the Inner City sooner or later.'

Lin and Lin, his parents, barely interfered with Lin Ye's affairs because Lin Ye had been very sensible since childhood and rarely caused them to worry.

Lin, his father, was still thinking about Lin Ye's Aptitude test, and had originally wanted to ask about it, but had forgotten due to the 100,000 yuan and the special talent.

Ye Yunxi and Lin Rong returned from school and were very happy to see Lin Ye sitting in the living room.

Lin Ye smiled and took out two new phones, handing them to the two of them.

"I saw that your phones' memory was a bit insufficient, so I bought you new phones. Once you receive your new phones, you must study hard. We cannot bully others at school, but we also cannot be bullied by others."

Lin Rong happily took the new phone and sat beside Lin Ye, "You and Brother Zhao Qi often come to pick us up from school. Everyone in the class knows that we have an older brother looking out for us, so who would be so blind as to bully us?"

Ye Yunxi lightly furrowed her delicate brows. She was perceptive and knew the family's financial situation.

"Brother, why did you buy us new phones? This phone's lowest configuration costs at least six thousand, right? We can just use our old phones."

Lin Rong, hearing that the phone in his hand was so expensive, quickly looked up and echoed.

"That's right, our phones aren't broken, they just lag a bit when watching videos, but that doesn't affect their use. We should still return the phones."

His parents' monthly income combined was only six thousand; two phones amounted to two months of their parents' income.

Although he liked the new phone very much, the family's livelihood was more important.

Lin, his father, smiled and patted Lin Rong's head, saying with great satisfaction, "Your brother found a good part-time job. Don't ask what it is; you'll know when the time comes."

"Since he bought you phones, just happily accept them. Your brother is not someone who wastes money."

Lin Rong and Ye Yunxi did not ask what kind of part-time job Lin Ye found; they only asked if there was any danger.

Lin Ye certainly would not tell them that he was going to join a mercenary team to explore relics; he only said that it was a part-time job introduced by a benefactor and that there was no danger.

Lin and Lin, his parents, had always been worried that their son, being just an ordinary person, would be too dangerous if he joined a mercenary group.

However, they both knew that earning money was too difficult; there was no such thing as a good deal that was not hard work and still brought in money.

Lin and Lin, his parents, both saw that Lin Ye was unwilling to be mediocre, so they could only suppress their inner worries and pretend to be unfazed, supporting Lin Ye's decision.

They could not provide help to Lin Ye; at least they could no longer distract Lin Ye or become a burden to him.

The next day, after everyone in the family had left, Lin Ye took out the Qi and Blood Soup Medicine to brew.

An hour later, Lin Ye drank a bowl of Qi and Blood Soup Medicine. He felt as if he had chugged a bottle of strong liquor; first, his throat had a burning sensation, and then his whole body began to heat up.

Lin Ye had the foresight to return to the restroom earlier. After a while, all the bones in his body began to ache.

This was a necessary process after consuming Qi and Blood Soup Medicine; one must remain conscious and circulate breathing according to the Cultivation Technique to possibly condense Qi and Blood.

Three hours passed, and Lin Ye was drenched as if he had been pulled out of water. His hands were braced on the restroom floor, and he tried to get up three times but failed.

Although he had known that condensing Qi and Blood would fail, when it actually failed, he still felt very disappointed.

He had thought he would be different from others!

After all, he had encountered the legendary System.

Lin Ye simply lay on the ground, waiting for his strength to recover, then showered and cleaned up the house.

Although condensing Qi and Blood failed, he could perceive that his physical fitness had improved significantly, and his muscle definition was much more pronounced than before.

Lin Ye also went to test his punching power. Previously, his punching power was eighty catties; now it was one hundred and ten catties.

The Qi and Blood Soup Medicine still had some effect, but his Aptitude was too low, and his body did not absorb too much of the medicinal power.

The medicinal properties of the soup medicine still lingered in his body. He had to wait until the medicinal properties of this portion of the soup medicine were completely metabolized before he could take the next portion.

On Lin Ye's first day back at school, he learned that Zhao Qi had also failed to condense Qi and Blood.

Zhao Qi, like him, was not disheartened. The money they had was enough to forcefully push them to condense Qi and Blood using Qi and Blood Soup Medicine.

Lin Ye stayed at school for a day, and the longer he stayed, the more uncomfortable he felt. He simply submitted an application to the teacher for self-study outside of school.

The teacher thought Lin Ye had already given up on the college entrance examination and readily agreed to Lin Ye's application.

One of the easiest conditions to meet for applying to various Martial Artist schools was to become a Martial Artist in the third year of high school.

Unless he possessed a special talent, Lin Ye would not be able to pass the Aptitude hurdle.

Zhao Qi had already decided to become a mercenary in the future and did not want to go to the Logistics University.
