Chapter 3: Raging Fire

After leaving the Eternal Life Shrine, Jun Wuxie looked at the dilapidated courtyard he had lived in for half a year, filled with a sense of melancholy.

He recalled that when he hadn't lost his Mysterious Divine Meridians of Chaos, everyone in the Xiao Family, from the Elders to the ordinary clansmen, treated him with utmost respect.

But after his accident, they all kicked him when he was down, constantly targeting and making things difficult for him.

"Reality is cruel. Without value, life is as cheap as grass, discarded like worn-out shoes!"

Jun Wuxie sighed with emotion. He shook his head, no longer dwelling on those thoughts. Improving his strength was the most important thing; he needed to get a First Spirit Pill as quickly as possible.

Breaking through to the Innate Realm earlier would allow his Physical Body strength to reach that of a one-star Spirit Weapon, and in the Innate Realm, he could Cultivate Martial Skills, which would lead to a leap in his strength.

Leaving the dilapidated courtyard, Jun Wuxie headed to the Family Resource Room, where First Spirit Pills were always kept for clansmen attempting to Breakthrough to the Innate Realm.

Medicinal Pills are categorized into Nine Star grades, and each star is further divided into Low Grade, Medium Grade, High Grade, and Peerless Grade.

The First Spirit Pill is a quasi-Spirit Medicine below a one-star Low Grade. Even so, it is expensive, with a market price of one hundred gold coins per pill, enough to support an ordinary Family of five in Qingyang City for three years.

An ordinary Martial Artist needs to prepare ten First Spirit Pills to Breakthrough to the Innate Realm, but he would need at least a hundred, or even several hundred!

"The Resource Room definitely won't have enough stock. I'll have to think of other ways..."

As he walked, lost in thought, a cold reprimand interrupted him.

"Little slut, how dare you come to the kitchen to steal!"

"I didn't! I'm so hungry! I just picked up what you guys left over and threw away..."

Jun Wuxie's heart tightened. He turned and rushed towards the direction of the voice—the Family Kitchen Garden.

Upon reaching the Kitchen Garden, he saw little Yue Yao lying on the ground, her small medicine basket beside her, while a burly middle-aged man with a fierce expression glared at her.

Little Yue Yao's eyes were brimming with tears. She tightly clutched half a steamed bun in her hand. Her dirty little face was red and swollen, with five clear finger marks, and there was even blood at the corner of her mouth.

"Xiao Sanxiong! How dare you hit her?!"

Jun Wuxie's rage instantly surged. For the past six months, the main branch of the Family had bullied her, but he never expected even these servants to bully her!

"It's you? You can actually get out of bed?" Xiao Sanxiong's eyes widened as if he had seen a ghost. He then recovered, crossed his arms, and sneered, "Oh, it's our Young Lord of the Xiao Family. You just got out of bed and you can't wait to show off your authority? Fine, what if I hit her?"

With a loud bang!

Jun Wuxie, like an enraged lion, kicked the Kitchen Garden Steward Xiao Sanxiong flying, smashing a wooden cart used for transporting vegetables into pieces.

"Jun Wuxie!" Xiao Sanxiong clutched his lower abdomen, curled up on the ground. He felt as if his five viscera and six bowels had shifted, and the pain was excruciating. His eyes were venomous: "You actually dared to hit me! Do you know who is behind me?"

The entire Kitchen Garden, a group of servants, were as quiet as cicadas in winter, not daring to utter a sound.

That paralyzed Young Lord not only stood up, but his strength also seemed to have recovered!

Thinking of how they had also bullied little Yue Yao over the past six months, they all lowered their heads, trembling with fear.

"Yue Yao, does it hurt?" Jun Wuxie pulled little Yue Yao up, dusted off her clothes, wiped the dirt and blood from her face, and when he saw the half-steamed bun clutched in her hand, his nose stung.

This steamed bun was covered in dirt, clearly picked up from a slop bucket.

Yet, even so, these beasts still wanted to bully her!

"Brother Wuxie, boohoo, you're finally better!" The grievance in little Yue Yao's eyes instantly turned into joy. She cried tears of happiness, wiping her eyes as she said, "Yue Yao will gather lots and lots of Medicine for Brother, so Brother's body can become as strong as before!"

"Yue Yao..."

"Brother Wuxie, why are you crying?" She used her small hand to wipe away Jun Wuxie's tears, sobbing, "Brother Wuxie don't cry, Yue Yao won't cry either..."

"Okay, no more crying." Jun Wuxie pulled her to a corner and said, "Yue Yao, watch how Brother deals with the people who bullied you!"

He turned, his eyes instantly turning as cold as a bloodthirsty wolf's. He stepped forward and lifted Xiao Sanxiong, "Speak! Which hand did you use to hit her just now!"

"You..." Xiao Sanxiong was so scared his body went limp, but he still blustered, "Jun Wuxie, do you think you're still the Young Lord of the Xiao Family? Let go of this Steward immediately, or else..."

Ah!

Xiao Sanxiong's harsh words were not yet finished when his right arm was twisted off by Jun Wuxie, splattering blood. The servants present immediately screamed in terror.

"Looks like it was both hands?"

Jun Wuxie ripped off his left arm as well, and Xiao Sanxiong's shrill screams echoed throughout the Kitchen Garden.

"What happened?" The screams alarmed the Third Elder, who rushed in with a group of guards. Seeing the scene, his pupils instantly contracted, and he exclaimed, "How could it be you?"

"Indeed, isn't it a pleasant surprise?"

Jun Wuxie held the dismembered Steward Xiao Sanxiong, looking coldly at Third Elder Xiao Chen.

Xiao Chen's expression fluctuated between dark and light. The surprise was real, as for joy, there was no joy at all!

For the past six months, they had completely given up on Jun Wuxie, and the entire Family's focus was on Xiao Xu.

Regarding Jun Wuxie, they not only didn't care for him but had actively targeted him, cutting off his allowance and almost completely cutting off his rations.

Who would have thought that the person who was supposed to lie in bed until he died had actually stood up, and his strength seemed to have recovered quite a bit!

The Xiao Family had a rule.

At the end of each year, a Family meeting would be held, and the Young Lord had to accept challenges from the Family's contemporary Disciples. If he lost, he would be replaced.

It wasn't the end of the year yet, so even though the entire Xiao Family regarded Xiao Xu as the future Young Lord, Jun Wuxie was still the Young Lord in name.

He deeply understood Jun Wuxie's capabilities. After some deliberation, he decided that before Xiao Xu demonstrated a talent that could stably suppress Jun Wuxie, it would be prudent to temporarily appease him.

"Wuxie, you've been wronged these past six months. The Family also had its unavoidable difficulties..." Xiao Chen showed an apologetic expression, speaking earnestly, "For the past six months, the Family has actually been secretly seeking Spirit Medicine to treat you, but unfortunately..."

At this point, Xiao Chen's face was filled with relief: "Fortunately, you have finally recovered. This old man is genuinely happy for you from the bottom of his heart, and I believe everyone in the Xiao Family will also be happy for you when they hear about it."

"Third Elder is truly a sensible person."

Jun Wuxie smiled and immediately said, "Since that's the case, Kitchen Garden Steward Xiao Sanxiong, for showing disrespect and insubordination, should be beaten to death on the spot. Please, Third Elder, carry out the execution."

"This..."

Third Elder's facial muscles twitched violently. Xiao Sanxiong was someone who had shown loyalty to Xiao Xu. If Xiao Sanxiong were beaten to death, it might offend Xiao Xu.

Jun Wuxie was putting him on the spot.

But if he didn't carry out the execution, with Jun Wuxie's temperament, he would never let it go.

How to weigh the pros and cons, he was momentarily in a dilemma.

Just then, the clear sky suddenly darkened. Gradually, the sun disappeared, and the entire Qingyang City plunged into night.

The stars in the night sky shone brightly.

Strangely, all the stars converged above a certain courtyard in the Xiao Family mansion.

"Could it be... could it be Xiao Xu Breaking Through to the Innate Realm? Did he communicate with his Life Star, causing a celestial phenomenon?"

Innate Knowing Fate refers to being able to know one's own Life Star and also being able to communicate with it.

When everyone Breakthroughs to the Innate Realm, their corresponding Life Star in the sky will be brighter than other stars, but Xiao Xu's was too bright, and there was even the phenomenon of all the stars converging!

Third Elder Xiao Chen was ecstatic, muttering, "Xiao Xu has fused with the Life-Destiny Spiritual Vein and become a high and mighty Life-Destiny Emissary!"

Jun Wuxie narrowed his eyes, also looking at the shining stars. Among them, one was particularly brilliant. Was that Xiao Xu's Life Star?

He hadn't expected the Life-Destiny Spiritual Vein bestowed upon Xiao Xu by Xiao Tianming to be so powerful, causing such a grand spectacle during the Awakening of his Life Star!

"Jun Wuxie!" Third Elder suddenly roared, his attitude doing a complete one-hundred-and-eighty-degree turn: "You openly harmed a Steward in the Family. According to Family rules, you shall be given eighty strokes of the rod!"

"Xiao Chen, your old face turns faster than a book." Jun Wuxie said, smashing Xiao Sanxiong's head with a slap, and then stepped towards Xiao Chen, saying, "Do you really think I'm easy to bully?"

"You scoundrel!" Xiao Chen's eyes flashed with murderous intent. He ordered the guards behind him, "Jun Wuxie openly murdered a Steward! Apprehend him and that little slut for me, and beat them to death on the spot!"

"It seems you want to die!"

Jun Wuxie instantly became furious. This old bastard not only wanted to kill him but even refused to spare little Yue Yao, who was only five or six years old!

His killing intent surged. Like a tiger unleashed from its cage, he charged towards Xiao Chen.
