Chapter 6: Sudden Wealth and Family, Country, and the World

Touching the large amount of cash, Qin Hao unknowingly fell asleep. It was the most peaceful sleep he had ever had in his life.

He woke up leisurely the next day, with the sun already high in the sky. Looking at the festive red on his bedside, he couldn't help but grin.

"First, I'll go quit my job," Qin Hao stretched, feeling refreshed.

Going to work used to feel like going to a funeral, but now he could finally say goodbye to that dull and boring job.

After washing up, Qin Hao casually put on a T-shirt and jeans, then left the house.

In the factory office, the supervisor was making reports on his computer screen.

"Supervisor Tang, I don't want to work anymore. Here's my resignation letter," Qin Hao walked to his desk and handed him a form.

The supervisor looked up, glanced at the resignation letter, "Oh, it's Little Qin. What's wrong? Did you find a better job?"

"Something like that! I'm tired of factory life, and I don't want to waste all my youth here," Qin Hao replied, making up a casual excuse.

"That's true. Young people should explore more; it's a good thing. I'll settle your salary today."

Supervisor Tang looked at Qin Hao, his tone flat, seemingly accustomed to employees coming and going.

After all, the factory's least lacking resource now was people.

Qin Hao nodded, saying nothing more.

The procedures were handled quickly. After receiving his salary for the current month, Qin Hao left the place where he had toiled for several years, without looking back.

He felt completely at ease.

Over the next few days, Qin Hao began looking for houses all over Zhou City.

Housing prices in the city center were too high, often millions, which he couldn't afford yet.

Finally, in the suburbs of Zhou City, near a newly developed area, he found a second-hand small villa with a small yard and a garage, for a total price of over seventy thousand.

Although the house was a bit old, it was quiet, and the surrounding facilities were quite complete.

The original owner had lost money in business and urgently needed cash, plus it was second-hand, which was why it was so cheap.

After paying the money, completing the transfer procedures, and receiving the property deed, Qin Hao felt an indescribable sense of security.

Having come from an orphanage, he yearned for a true home of his own more than anyone.

After a simple clean-up and adding some basic furniture and appliances, Qin Hao was officially settled in.

The new home was quiet and secluded. He no longer had to worry about eavesdroppers, nor did he have to squeeze into that tiny rented room.

Late at night, Qin Hao sat on his new sofa, once again pondering the matter of energy points.

"Absorbing lightning is efficient, but it's not a long-term solution. What if someone finds out? They'd treat him as an anomaly and call the police in minutes."

Qin Hao stroked his chin, deep in thought.

Did he have to go back to slowly plugging into power outlets like before? That was too inefficient, and a large electricity consumption would still be a problem.

Just as he was getting a headache, the evening news playing on the living room TV caught his attention.

"On May 24, 2016, several Western countries led by Eagle Country once again used the unwarranted excuse of national security to announce a new round of export controls on dozens of high-tech products and technologies in our country, attempting to curb our country's technological development and industrial upgrading.

This action severely violates international trade rules and undermines the stability of the global industrial and supply chains. Our country expresses strong condemnation and firm opposition to this…"

In the news footage, the spokesperson spoke righteously, while the scrolling subtitles below listed a long string of restricted technologies and equipment names,

mostly in cutting-edge fields such as chip manufacturing, aerospace, and precision instruments.

Qin Hao watched with a furrowed brow.

In recent years, as Yanhuang Country's influence in the world grew, some countries became uneasy and began to suppress it with various means.

This caused no small loss to Yanhuang Country.

After the news broadcast, Qin Hao immediately opened various domestic forum websites on his phone, where countless compatriots expressed their anger.

"These bandits! They've reached a bottleneck in their own development, even regressing, and they can't stand to see others do well!"

"Damn it! Eagle Country is really too much! Yanhuang Country should stand firm!"

"Alas! It's easy for the brother upstairs to say, but the key technologies are still in their hands. There's nothing we can do but swallow our pride and work hard to catch up…"

The comments were mostly one-sided, condemning Eagle Country's hegemonic actions, filled with frustration and helplessness.

Qin Hao felt uneasy watching these comments.

He lit a cigarette and smoked silently. In the swirling smoke, his eyes became complex.

As a patriotic youth who grew up under the red flag and in the spring breeze, Qin Hao had a deep sense of national pride in his bones.

Although he was just an ordinary person, struggling for a livelihood, concepts like national honor and disgrace, and the rise and fall of the nation, were not out of reach.

Before, he was powerless and could only grumble online like most people.

But now…

He possessed the Wanwu Fuzhi System (All Things Replication System)!

This system could replicate gold and anything else he could scan.

So, those blocked high-tech devices, those cutting-edge chips that Yanhuang Country couldn't produce yet, could also be replicated.

If he could…

Qin Hao's heart suddenly leaped!

He thought of the conditions for system upgrades. The primary replication function might still have many limitations.

What about the next stage? Did it mean more functions?

And that upgrade condition, he certainly couldn't complete it alone. A full ten billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, where would he get it?

For a moment, Qin Hao's thoughts raced.

Then he thought of another aspect: as an ordinary orphan, it was this country and society that raised him, gave him the opportunity to be educated, and allowed him to live a stable life.

The system was indeed miraculous and could bring him endless wealth and an easy life.

But if there wasn't a strong country as a backing, could he protect that wealth himself?

If he could make Yanhuang Country stand tall on the international stage, no longer suffering such indignities…

This thought, like a seed, took root and rapidly grew in his heart.

"What if… I handed this system over to the country?"

As soon as this idea emerged, even Qin Hao himself was startled.

That was the Wanwu Fuzhi System (All Things Replication System)!

It was his greatest reliance to change his destiny and reach the pinnacle of life!

Just hand it over like that? Could he be willing?

But, what if he didn't?

He, alone, secretly replicating some gold, living a rich life, and then watching helplessly as the country was bottlenecked by others in key technologies?

Qin Hao's heart struggled violently.

He was not a saint; he also had selfish desires, and he yearned for a good life.

But some things were more important than personal enjoyment.

"Damn it, as the saying goes, if you're behind, you'll be beaten! I'm a descendant of Yanhuang Country after all!"

Qin Hao abruptly extinguished his cigarette butt, a hint of determination flashing in his eyes.

An innocent man is guilty for possessing a treasure.

This system was too heaven-defying, and with his personal ability, he might not be able to keep it safe.

Once exposed, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Since that was the case, then he would use this system to contribute to the country, break those technological barriers, and make Yanhuang Country truly strong.

He, too, would be doing his part for this country and this nation!

Moreover, he believed the country would not treat him unfairly. By then, not to mention money, luxury villas, cars, they would even prepare a wife for him.

Thinking of this, Qin Hao felt a rush of blood to his head.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm his excited emotions.

This matter was too big to be decided on a whim. How could he safely and effectively inform the country's high-level officials of this astonishing secret and gain their trust?

After all, who would believe him if he just said he had a Wanwu Fuzhi System (All Things Replication System) out of thin air?

He would probably be directly arrested as a lunatic.

"It seems I need to plan this carefully."
