“Naruto, hurry up, you’re going to be late for school!”
Today was the day for graduation class assignments, officially called the Graduate Orientation. All graduating students would be formed into three-person teams, with a Jonin acting as the team leader, primarily responsible for training and assigning missions.
Chiye woke up early. He was too excited to sleep last night, first because of the rewards from the Ki Sensing mission, and second, because he wanted to know which team he would be assigned to.
Ki Sensing, as the name suggests, is an ability from dragon ball, allowing one to perceive the strength and location of others by sensing the Ki emanating from their bodies.
However, in Naruto World, this ability was enhanced. Not only could he sense Ki, but also Chakra and Natural Energy, as well as predict the opponent's upcoming skills and actions. The latter, however, required training to use proficiently.
It was like a fusion of Observation Haki from One Piece and Ki Sensing from dragon ball.
This meant that in Naruto World, he could use the powers of One Piece and dragon ball.
How could he not be excited?
Not only that, from the mission brief, it was clear that his next task was to demonstrate his strength during the Bell Test.
And the Bell Test was a unique part of Kakashi's training, inherited from Minato.
This meant that Kakashi would become his teacher.
However, a problem arose.
A team only had four members. In the original story, Kakashi's team initially consisted of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, and later Naruto, Sakura, and Sai.
But if he joined Kakashi's team, who would leave the team?
Would it be Sasuke, or Sakura?
In Chiye's heart, Sakura was not well-liked by him. She would call for Naruto when she needed help, and then turn to Sasuke when she didn't.
Although her looks were slightly above average, she was just a child from an ordinary family. In the early stages, she looked down on Naruto, in the middle stages, she used Naruto, and in the later stages, Tsunade only trained her because of Naruto.
Not only did she not thank Naruto, but she later tried to use Naruto's affection for her to fake a confession, trying to stop Naruto from bringing Sasuke back, while in reality, she was still protecting Sasuke.
One could say that her character was that of a 'green tea b*tch', so Chiye had always disliked this character.
After coming to Naruto World, he hadn't even spoken a single word to her. It was truly disgusting.
Based on this, he hoped that Sakura would leave the team. Anyway, Sasuke would eventually leave on his own, and Sai would come later, so she wouldn't be needed.
“Get up, get up!”
Chiye called Naruto for a full half-hour before finally dragging him out of bed. After urging Naruto to quickly wash up, the two of them just barely made it into the classroom on time.
“Huh?!”
As soon as Naruto walked into the classroom, everyone looked at him as if they had seen a ghost.
Just then, Shikamaru walked in from outside the classroom and was also surprised to see Naruto, asking, “Why are you here too?”
Naruto proudly pointed to his Konoha forehead protector, grinning as he said, “Can't you see the forehead protector on my forehead?
From today onwards, I'm a Ninja too!”
“Eh!!!”
As soon as Naruto finished speaking, everyone gasped in surprise.
They couldn't understand how a dead last, someone who couldn't even use Clone Technique, had managed to graduate...
However, only Hinata showed a relieved and happy expression, thinking, Naruto has graduated too, that's wonderful.
Chiye looked at his classmates and then at Hinata. He perfectly understood what these people were thinking right now.
Just then, a loud thumping sound of running came from the hallway.
Immediately after, the classroom door was flung open.
Chiye, who was still standing by the door and hadn't moved yet, was suddenly pushed aside by Sakura and Ino, who were arguing about something, nearly falling over from the unexpected shove.
What the heck!
Chiye was dumbfounded. What in the world...
If you two weren't girls, I would have kicked you!
“I won again, Sakura!” Ino panted, triumphantly telling Sakura.
“What are you talking about? My foot stepped in here one centimeter faster than yours.” Sakura retorted, unconvinced.
“No way! Are you blind?!” Ino shot back.
Watching the two idiots arguing endlessly, Chiye felt a stampede of alpacas in his heart. What a pair of idiots!
He was about to call Naruto to go to their seats together, but then he saw Naruto looking at Sakura with a lovesick expression.
My goodness!
Damn it!
You're not interested in the Hyuga heiress, but you're lusting over Sakura?
Can a girl from an ordinary family be more appealing than a great clan's heiress?
Oh, for goodness sake!
Chiye was truly exasperated. He thought it would be better to cut his losses, so he walked over, grabbed Naruto's hand, and said, “Back to your seat, what are you looking at?!”
“Hey! Hey, hey, hey, Chiye, don't pull me!”
And so, Naruto was dragged by Chiye to his seat.
As soon as he sat down, Naruto saw Sakura looking around, as if searching for someone. He wondered, could it be me?
But then he saw Sakura hurriedly run over to Sasuke, her face flushed with shyness, saying, “Good, good morning, Sasuke.”
Sasuke was still fuming. He had been played by Chiye yesterday, then kidnapped last night, and humiliated. He couldn't have been more unlucky. What was even worse was that he had actually been saved by Chiye last night.
It was infuriating!
And now, the bruises on his face from last night hadn't faded, and he felt too ashamed to show his face.
So, when Sakura greeted him, he didn't even acknowledge her.
But Sakura liked Sasuke's cold and cool demeanor, completely ignoring his attitude, and continued, “Can I sit next to you?”
As soon as she finished speaking, before Sasuke could say anything, Ino walked over and said, “I say, the seat next to Sasuke is mine. You go away.”
“First come, first served, right?” Sakura said angrily.
“I was the first one in the classroom, okay?” Ino didn't back down.
“It was me!”
“No way, it was me!”
“I want to sit next to Sasuke!”
“I do!”
...
The fierce argument attracted other classmates to intervene. Sasuke was speechless; he was already fed up, and these two were still chattering away.
Meanwhile, in the school office, Third Hokage had gathered all the Jonin responsible for this graduating class for a team assignment meeting.
The Third Hokage's crystal ball was currently showing Chiye sitting in the classroom, watching the drama unfold.
“Is this the boy? I heard he defeated the long-time top Uchiha genius Sasuke yesterday,” an unnamed Jonin said.
“Yes, he's very talented, a promising individual,” the Third Hokage replied.
“Then I must be the one to lead him,” another unnamed Jonin said excitedly.
“I have already arranged for Kakashi to lead him,” the Third Hokage responded.
“Nani?!”
Everyone present, except for Kakashi, was stunned, clearly finding the decision strange.
“Hokage-sama, doesn't Kakashi already have three team members? If you add this one, that makes four,” Kurenai Yuhi said.
“The situation is special, but making an exception can also be a great initiative,” the Third Hokage smiled.
