Chapter 4: Purple Phoenix

The Dark Universe is a peculiar place; its vast space contains nothing but countless specks of light and spaceships.

In the Original Universe, matter cannot exceed the speed of light; once it reaches the speed of light, it directly warps through the universe, arriving in the Dark Universe.

In the Dark Universe, however, it is possible to break the speed of light.

The Dark Universe and the Original Universe correspond in coordinates, except that "the Dark Universe and the Original Universe correspond at a ratio of 1:10.081 million times."

Flying at the speed of light for one year in the Dark Universe is only one light-year.

But warping back to the Original Universe, that would be 10.08 million light-years away.

"At this spaceship's speed, it will take a full eight days to reach Purple Phoenix Star," Su Ke said, looking at the spaceship's interior, which had returned to normal.

Because the spaceship was flying at the speed of light, it was impossible to capture the external scenery.

The bored passengers had all started to rest or find things to do to pass the time.

It is worth mentioning that one can still enter the Virtual Universe even in the Dark Universe.

And to be safe, Su Ke also brought his consciousness sensor helmet with him.

He just found a reason to hide it from the smart robot at home, not wanting his parents to worry prematurely.

"Hmm?" Su Ke noticed that everyone around him was of Planetary Level, with only him being of Apprentice Level... This made his desire to improve his strength even more urgent.

Eight days passed in a flash.

After an eight-day monotonous journey through the Dark Universe, the spaceship finally arrived at the Jialan Empire's important planet—Purple Phoenix Star.

To travel from the Original Universe to the Dark Universe, one needs to reach the speed of light.

To return from the Dark Universe to the Original Universe, one simply decelerates to a standstill, and it automatically warps back to the Original Universe.

"I wonder if I will ever have a day when I can traverse the Dark Universe with my physical body," Su Ke thought, filled with various strange ideas.

As a Transmigrator, he knew that to traverse the Dark Universe with one's physical body, one generally needed to be an Undying Spiritual God.

The founder of the vast and ancient Jialan Empire was an Undying Spiritual God, with billions of planets and countless citizens under his dominion.

Su Ke's hometown, Moon River Star, was merely an insignificant, tiny life planet among the Jialan Empire's vast territories.

Su Ke suddenly felt a bit amused.

It would take a long time even to break through to Planetary Level, and with his ordinary aptitude, he dared to aspire to become an Undying Spiritual God; if outsiders knew, they would surely think he was delusional.

"Tsk tsk tsk, that's Purple Phoenix Star," the large black gorilla-like man next to Su Ke exclaimed.

Over the past few days, Su Ke had become somewhat acquainted with this large black gorilla-like man, and hearing him, he directly asked, "Uncle Lu Ding, have you been here before?"

He was visiting for the first time and found everything fresh and new.

Lu Ding glanced at Su Ke and rumbled, "I have friends here... But you, a little fellow not even of Planetary Level, actually dare to travel alone, you're truly too bold."

Among a group of Planetary Level individuals, there was only one Apprentice Level, which was too conspicuous, but as they were merely passing acquaintances, he didn't delve deeper.

Su Ke gazed at the planet appearing in the distant starry sky; it was a planet many times larger than Moon River Star, suspended deep in the universe, shining with brilliant light like a gem, surrounded by five satellites.

Half of the planet's surface was covered in thick ice, while the other half was covered in dense forests, plains, and lakes, allowing one to feel its mystery and beauty.

The spaceship pierced through the atmosphere and landed on the ice-covered side; sunlight streamed through gaps in the clouds, scattering onto the ice surface, forming colorful beams of light, creating a magnificent spectacle.

A colossal city lay like a monstrous beast on the endless ice, enveloped in colorful light, thousands of kilometers in both length and width.

Its city walls were as transparent as ice crystals, and huge statues stood along the walls, guarding like sentinels.

From afar, it looked majestic and vast, like a city from a myth.

"It's so big; even Moon River Star's nine cities aren't this large," Su Ke exclaimed.

Finally, the spaceship followed the traction signal and arrived at the planet's docking port.

The cabin door opened, and Su Ke, mingling among the bustling passengers, stepped out.

He looked up to see a port worker in a gray uniform flying over to handle the handover with the spaceship.

However, this was irrelevant to Su Ke; even if the spaceship's docking fee needed to be paid, he wasn't the one to do it; he was just a passenger.

"Fortunately, this docking port is right next to the city," the gorilla-like man, still beside Su Ke, glanced at him.

"If it were thousands of kilometers away, you might encounter bandits.

A weak little fellow like you, if you don't stick with the crowd, you'd definitely not survive."

Whether it was Moon River Star or Purple Phoenix Star, one was protected within the city; outside the city, one could only fend for oneself.

"The gravity is different," Su Ke discovered as he disembarked from the spaceship.

Purple Phoenix Star's planetary gravity was much greater than Moon River Star's, but a few times more gravity wasn't enough to concern Su Ke.

As for those of Planetary Level, they could withstand at least 1000 times Earth's gravity.

"Purple Phoenix City has existed for several million years.

The master of Purple Phoenix Star is an incredibly powerful Territory Lord Rank expert," the gorilla-like man Lu Ding said with an expression of reverence.

To them, these Planetary Level experts, a Territory Lord was an incredible existence.

The one-kilometer-wide main city gate was densely packed with people, and Su Ke, the little fellow, smoothly blended in.

"Didn't you receive a signal?" The gorilla-like man looked at his arm.

"The planet automatically sends communication numbers to the auxiliary light brains of some lives arriving on this planet."

Upon receiving the number, one could chat with each other via a "communicator."

"Yes, I received it," Su Ke said.

Although he didn't have an auxiliary light brain, he did have the most common communication tools.

"Then let's add each other.

If anything comes up, we can contact each other within the planet."

This gorilla-like man seemed to feel a strong connection with Su Ke, and seeing the young Su Ke reminded him of his own cubs at home.

Su Ke and the gorilla-like man added each other as friends, then parted ways on a street within this super-large city.

"So many people."

The streets were overflowing with people, densely packed and seemingly endless; almost all were of Planetary Level, and there were quite a few of Astral Rank.

Su Ke was just an inconspicuous figure, and no one paid him any mind.

Su Ke cautiously looked around, carefully avoiding pedestrians.

Following the planet's functional map, Su Ke passed through long streets and headed towards the city's central area.

The branch building of the Cosmic First Bank was located in the most prosperous central area of the city, and even the major human factions were similar.

A magnificent, exquisite, and awe-inspiring colossal building stood in the middle of the city, occupying a vast area, with surprisingly few people passing by its side.

Su Ke looked around for a moment before somewhat nervously walking towards the bank building's mysterious main entrance, which resembled a starlight passage.

"Hello, sir, how may I help you?" A beautiful young woman wearing the Cosmic First Bank's signature vest smiled and greeted him.

She was slightly surprised to find Su Ke was of Apprentice Level.

After all, the bank typically served clients with at least 100 million jialan coin in savings, and someone of such low strength was indeed rare, but with her professional demeanor, she showed no hint of it.

"I already have an appointment," Su Ke said, still feeling a bit nervous, especially noticing some of the surrounding clients who had started to pay attention.

Some even exuded a chillingly fierce aura, with terrifying eyes, seemingly the legendary Cosmic Adventurers or Cosmic Mercenaries.
