Chapter 31: The proud boy suffered defeat

Ma Chao rushed to where Sun Ce and Da Qiao were.

He first gazed at Sun Ce, admiration in his eyes, and sincerely praised, "Ma Chao brother, this divine shot is truly an eye-opener! There are so few people in the world with such superb skills!"

Immediately after, his gaze was drawn to the fierce tiger lying on the ground.

The tiger was huge and powerful; even dead, it still exuded a heart-pounding aura.

Ma Chao couldn't help but gasp, saying in shock, "This tiger is so big, if an ordinary person encountered it, they would probably have died in its mouth."

Sun Ce smiled slightly and humbly replied, "Brother Ma Chao has overpraised me; it was just a coincidence."

The two chatted happily, and the atmosphere was harmonious.

After a brief conversation, Sun Ce turned to instruct his subordinates, "Take this tiger's body away and dispose of it properly."

The subordinates responded, rushed into action, and worked together to prepare to carry away the tiger's body.

Just then, the Evil Han who had been chasing the tiger arrived, panting.

He was full of anger and stopped the subordinates who were about to carry away the tiger's body, shouting loudly, "Hey! You can't take this tiger! I've been chasing it all this way; it should be mine!"

Ma Chao's brows furrowed slightly at the sight, and a hint of dissatisfaction welled up in his heart.

He stepped forward and said loudly, "Brother, if we hadn't shot this tiger, who knows how many innocent people it would have harmed!" His voice carried a hint of seriousness and righteousness.

The Evil Han glared at Ma Chao and roared, unwilling to show weakness, "So what? I've been chasing it for so long, why should you pick up the cheap?" His face was full of entitlement.

Sun Ce, who was standing by, couldn't suppress the anger in his heart.

He interjected, "You are so unreasonable! Is the life of others not as important as your selfish desires?" His eyes revealed anger.

Da Qiao, by his side, looked at Sun Ce worriedly and whispered, "Brother Sun, don't argue with him, lest you hurt the harmony." Her tone carried a hint of anxiety.

Sun Ce turned to look at Da Qiao, nodded slightly, and motioned for her not to worry.

Then he faced the Evil Han again and said in a deep voice, "Today, we shot this tiger.

If you continue to be unreasonable, don't blame me for being impolite!"

The Evil Han shook the Steel Fork in his hand, his eyes wide with fury, and he shouted, "Kid, dare to snatch from me, today I'll let you know my power!" With that, he brandished the Steel Fork, took a stance, looking fierce and menacing.

Sun Ce saw this, a hint of disdain flashed in his eyes, and he quickly drew the treasured sword from his waist, sneering, "Hmph, unreasonable fellow, today I will teach you a good lesson!" Before his words finished, his figure flickered, and he swung his sword to stab at the Evil Han.

Ma Chao held his spear, seeing that they had already started fighting, and fearing that something might go wrong during their struggle, he stood by to assist.

Sun Ce was highly skilled in martial arts, and being young and impetuous, with high spirits, he was afraid that he might not be able to hold back and injure someone.

However, this Evil Han was able to chase a tiger across a stream, so he must also be an extraordinary person, and Ma Chao dared not be careless.

The Evil Han quickly raised his Steel Fork, trying to block Sun Ce's attack.

With a clang, the sword and fork collided, emitting a crisp sound.

Sun Ce's wrist twisted, his sword moves like a swift wind, stabbing out continuously, each strike aimed at the Evil Han's vital points.

He attacked while shouting, "Are you still not admitting defeat?"

The Evil Han showed no weakness, his Steel Fork dancing with powerful momentum, and he roared, "Want me to admit defeat? It's not that easy!"

The two went back and forth, neither giving way.

Sun Ce's swordplay was agile and varied, like a dragon emerging from the sea; the Evil Han's Steel Fork was powerful and strong, like a fierce tiger descending from the mountain.

Sun Ce and the Evil Han were in the midst of a fierce battle.

After fifty or sixty rounds, Sun Ce became increasingly alarmed, feeling gradually suppressed, simply because he did not carry a long weapon.

At this moment, strong winds howled around them, and dust flew, as if cheering for this intense fight.

Sun Ce's eyes were like torches, staring closely at the Evil Han, and he shouted loudly, "Brother Ma Chao, may I borrow your long spear!

This person's strength is extraordinary, and my short sword is at a disadvantage, making it difficult to exert my full power!" His voice was loud, echoing in the strong wind.

Ma Chao saw this, waved his arm, and quickly threw his long spear to Sun Ce.

This long spear was Ma Chao's Tiger Head Gold Plated Spear, entirely forged from meteorite iron, heavy and sharp.

Sun Ce steadily caught the long spear, and with a shake, the spear hummed, like a dragon emerging from the sea, with majestic momentum.

His figure also became more agile, and his spear techniques were grand and open, each move containing endless power.

The Evil Han felt Sun Ce's change, frowned slightly, and said in a deep voice, "Your weapon is powerful, but my weapon is not handy, otherwise you would have been defeated long ago!"

With that, the Evil Han brandished his Steel Fork, his offensive becoming even fiercer, engaging in a life-and-death struggle with Sun Ce.

At this moment, the strong wind became even more violent, making their clothes flap loudly.

Sun Ce's spear tip flashed with a cold light in the wind, like a fierce tiger descending from the mountain, each attack carrying a sharp gust of wind.

Gradually, Sun Ce, relying on the advantage of his weapon, began to turn the tide slightly.

The people around had long forgotten their return journey and gathered to watch, exclamations and cheers rising and falling.

The Evil Han roared repeatedly, his voice like thunder, echoing through the sky.

His eyes were wide, his hair stood on end, and veins bulged on his forehead, like an enraged lion.

He gripped the Steel Fork tightly with both hands, his muscles tensed, and his strength instantly erupted to its fullest.

His steps were steady and powerful, each step leaving a deep imprint on the ground.

Sun Ce was startled at the sight, but he did not retreat, fighting back with all his might.

However, the Evil Han's offensive was as fierce as a landslide, and the Steel Fork whistled like a whirlwind in his hands.

Although Sun Ce struggled to resist, he was ultimately no match for the Evil Han's powerful strength and was defeated in one fell swoop.

Sun Ce retreated a few steps, and the long spear in his hand flew out.

The people around were in an uproar, marveling at the Evil Han's bravery.

Sun Ce was in the prime of his youth and had always been quite confident in his martial arts.

However, at this moment, he found it difficult to accept this reality, and his heart was plunged into deep self-doubt.

The Evil Han, seeing Sun Ce standing there in a daze, his eyes bloodshot and having lost all sense of proportion, wildly shouted, "Haha, kid, die!" At the same time, he brandished his Steel Fork and stabbed it straight at Sun Ce.

At this moment, Sun Ce was frozen in place, his mind in chaos.

He thought to himself, "How could I be so disgraced? Is my martial arts really so bad?" Seeing the Steel Fork rapidly approaching, the shadow of death gradually enveloped him, yet Sun Ce still couldn't recover from his astonishment.

Ma Chao, who was assisting nearby, his eyes like torches, was closely watching the situation.

Seeing Sun Ce in danger, he roared, "Bold villain, don't be rampant!" He then picked up the long spear that had been knocked away and rushed towards the Evil Han like a whirlwind, engaging him in a fierce struggle.

Ma Chao was extremely anxious in his heart.

He knew that Sun Ce was in poor condition at this moment and had to block this blow for him.

He brandished the long spear fiercely, roaring, "With me here, don't even think about harming my brother by a single point!"

At this moment, Sun Ce finally managed to break free from the quagmire of self-doubt.

He looked at Ma Chao stepping forward for him, his heart filled with gratitude, and at the same time, he felt deeply ashamed of his own weakness.

He secretly vowed in his heart that he would definitely pull himself together and never let his brother worry about him again.
