Chapter 7: All are equal in front of the bayonet!

“Brother, are you alright? How are you feeling?”

Boris hurried forward, carefully looking at the Soldier who was bleeding profusely. He had been following behind and had personally witnessed how this fierce individual had dealt with the enemy.

After taking three rifle shots from the enemy, he didn't even utter a sound, but instead, he used his bayonet to stab a man to death, and then turned around to detonate a grenade at such close range!

That wave of explosion not only blew the enemy to pieces but also left him covered in dust and grime, seemingly hit by several shrapnel pieces.

But even so, this brother was still able to get up from the ground; this was beyond what could be described as an ordinary fierce person!

Boris couldn't help but feel admiration for this new recruit. To be honest, he had seen brave new recruits before, but this level of bravery, fighting as if his life meant nothing, was something he had never witnessed!

Seeing that this NPC veteran was talking to him, the Assault Player was a bit excited, wondering if the NPC in front of him could unlock some quests?

Speaking of gaining favorability, he quickly patted his chest nonchalantly and said,

“Old bro, don’t worry, I’m fine. I don’t feel any pain right now!”

“It’s just a few fatal wounds, nothing serious!”

For Players, this was indeed true.

When they played games, they didn't turn on pain simulation. Except for a few masochists who enjoyed feeling pain, most people wouldn't turn on the pain level.

So, even though he took several shots, these shots didn't feel like anything to him, just like being hit by wads of paper a few times.

As for bleeding profusely, that was also not an issue for Players.

Ultimately, the Players' vitality depended on their health bar, so no matter how much they appeared to be bleeding profusely on the surface, as long as their health bar wasn't empty, they were fine.

And for Players, there was no issue of continuous damage after being shot, so although he looked miserable now, his health bar was actually unchanged.

Looking at the brave and fearless Soldier in front of him, bleeding all over while patting his chest and saying he was fine, Boris felt a bit of an ache in his teeth.

He really wanted to ask, what did this ruthless character do before becoming a Soldier?

What kind of environment could produce such a ruthless person?

Just then, a Medical Soldier Player ran over, casually threw a medical kit to him, and then left without looking back, rifle in hand, following other Players who were charging forward.

Boris blinked, wondering what that fleeting Medical Soldier was doing. Was he in such a hurry to reincarnate?

Seriously, what was going on? He was a Medical Soldier!

His duty was to help the wounded, and the wounded were right here!

Why did he just throw down a medical kit and not even offer to help bandage or remove shrapnel, then just run off like that?

Clearly, Boris didn't understand what a combat Medical Soldier was!

For combat Medical Soldiers, killing people, setting fires, and blowing up tanks were what they should be doing; saving lives and treating injuries were just hobbies!

As for wounded comrades?

Get lost! These were clearly competitors trying to steal their kills and their merits!

The huge commotion here naturally attracted the attention of the Black Hawk Soldiers who had just charged up on the other side.

Listening to the fierce shouts and explosions coming from around the trench corner not far away, three Fear Knights, clad in full steel power armor, with huge steam-powered backpacks on their backs, looking like steampunk versions of medieval knights, stood up.

“You guys hold this section of the trench and don’t let the Cambrian Soldiers from the other side charge up. We’ll check out the situation!”

One of the Fear Knights said to the other eight Soldiers. Then, he swapped two new magazines into the linked submachine gun in his left hand, picked up a German-style greatsword with his other hand, and then charged along the trench with the other two.

These three Fear Knights had full confidence in their combat prowess. Their equipment made them almost invincible in trench warfare!

Their heavily armored power armor was enough to allow them to withstand ordinary rifle fire and even sustained machine gun bursts, while their dense rapid-fire firepower and brutal greatswords allowed them to easily transform into trench meat grinders.

As long as they cooperated properly, even a company of ordinary Cambrian Soldiers might not be their match!

However, the current situation was somewhat beyond the expectations of these three Fear Knights.

Just as they rounded the trench corner, three Soldiers with ferocious expressions, roaring loudly, charged at them with bayonets. The momentum of their charge startled the three.

They couldn't understand what deep-seated hatred these Cambrian Soldiers had for them, to charge with such suicidal abandon?

Regarding this, Players also really wanted to complain!

Why did they have to let out such a loud roar when charging?

Wouldn't a silent charge, without such a shout, be even more lethal?

Although startled by the Players' momentum, the leading Fear Knight immediately raised the submachine gun in his left hand and began to spray bullets.

The dual-linked submachine gun unleashed terrifying firepower at close range, instantly riddling the foremost charging Soldier with over a dozen bleeding holes.

But even as this Soldier fell, the two behind him continued their charge!

Facing another charging individual, the Fear Knight, who didn't have time to reload his submachine gun, complained about the small 20-round magazine capacity while raising his greatsword and thrusting it straight forward.

A downward chop from overhead would be too slow, but with the added length of his arm, he could stab the charging individual with the bayonet first.

This precise thrust immediately pierced the second Player's heart, causing him to fall without a sound.

As for the last enemy charging towards him, this Fear Knight prepared to swing his sword while also bracing himself to take the hit with his chest plate.

Looking at the enemy with a ferocious expression, charging with a bayonet, the Fear Knight, while admiring his courage, felt a hint of disdain flash in his heart.

With his eight-millimeter thick chest plate, how could an ordinary bayonet possibly pierce... through?

Feeling the sharp pain in his chest, the Fear Knight, who had just raised his greatsword above his head, looked down in disbelief.

How was this possible?

What material was that Soldier's bayonet made of, to actually pierce his chest plate!

With a single bayonet thrust, Hao Nan Ge easily took down the Fear Knight in front of him. After twisting it twice with force, a look of excited delight appeared at the corner of his mouth.

【Hahaha, what if it’s power armor? Before a bayonet, all are equal!】

He had just managed to complain in the chat area when, in the next moment, the submachine guns of the two Fear Knights behind him riddled him with bullets as well.
