Chapter 202: dragon kingdom

"Young man, when you open this book, may you inherit our glory - Gary Moore!" On the title page of the book is the message from Gary Moore, the first Emperor of Lagrande.

Roland turned to the next page with reverence in his heart.

"Welcome! Gary Roland! My junior!" These words suddenly popped up in the blank second chapter, scaring Roland so much that he almost threw the book in his hand away.

"Don't be afraid, this is the Spirit of Dragon's Language! This book depicts a legendary Holy Spirit magic circle, and the soul of a golden holy dragon resides in it." Suddenly, the system appeared and gave Roland an explanation.

"I will lead you down here, young man. Everything you want to know is here! I hope you will gain something." Long Ling continued to conjure up words.

"What exactly is this book?" Roland asked cautiously, his eyes full of curiosity. This Dragon's Language that was not in his memory made him very surprised and suspicious.

"This is the book of wisdom left by the first Emperor Lagran! The book will guide you to explore the true secrets of the empire!" Long Ling continued to transform into lines of text.

"Oh my God! This is crazy..." Roland exclaimed. This was not what he knew about the gaming world.

"God? Hahaha! At the peak of the Lagran Empire, even gods were slaughtered! Why do you think there are no gods in Middle-earth? Middle-earth! Gods are forbidden to enter!" The words transformed by the dragon spirit were full of emotion.

"Goodness..." Roland knew instantly that this was a secret hidden in the game world. He just didn't know if this secret still worked in Middle-earth in this dimension.

"Then what should I read first?" Roland stared at the book curiously, waiting for him to give him an answer.

"Dragon language." Two concise words emerged.

"Dragon language? What's the point of knowing it? Chatting with dragons? Even if I do, I can use the continent's common language..." Roland laughed dumbly. Of all the wild dragons in this haunted North, only Smaug truly knew Dragon language. Roland couldn't possibly teach Dragon language to the Arlongs. If Arlongs could master Dragon language, would they be any different from real dragons? After all, Dragon language was the foundation of Dragon magic. A wizard who was good at Dragon language could even speak to a humanoid dragon.

"Pedantic... Mastering dragon language is the first step to becoming a dragon knight... silly child." Roland felt his face flushed instantly as he looked at the words appearing on the book.

"Outrageous... What does dragon language have to do with dragon riders? To become a dragon rider, don't you just need to sign a dragon rider contract with a dragon?" Roland said speechlessly.

"But... the Dragon Rider Contract is drawn in dragon language!" One can imagine the helplessness in the heart of this old dragon spirit.

“…” Roland.

"Then let's learn it first..." Roland said helplessly. After all, dragon riding is the dream of every knight. After all, who doesn't want to ride a dragon?

"Clatter~" The pages of the book moved automatically without wind. Under Long Ling's control, the pages slowly turned backwards and finally stopped at a place where two-thirds of the thickness of the book was.

"Dragon Language!" Three large golden characters appeared before Roland's eyes.

"Gaudy..." Roland curled his lips as he looked at the intricate and gorgeous patterns on the edge of the page.

"What is this?" Roland almost jumped up after taking a look. Could these scribbled graffiti really be... dragon language?

"Honestly, my grandma's handwriting is even better than the sky!" Roland shrugged helplessly. What the hell was this feeling of helplessness he'd felt while reading English in his previous life?

The Dragon's Language trembled instantly, as if stimulated by Roland, and every page was shaking slightly.

"I don't understand this at all..." Roland had no choice but to seek help from the dragon spirit in the book to see if he had any way to help him learn the dragon language.

"I'm sorry, kid. It takes talent and understanding for humans to learn dragon language. No one can help you with this. But if you have familiar dragon knights or real dragons, you can learn something from them." Although Long Ling could not help Roland, he pointed him in a direction.

"Dragon Knight? Giant dragon? Aren't these Kaslo and Cardo..." Roland immediately thought of his most loyal lackey, and quickly picked up the Dragon's Language from the table and went to find Kaslo.

"Your Highness?" After saluting, Caslo looked at Roland curiously. You know, Roland didn't have the habit of visiting his subordinates' homes casually. Generally, unless there were special circumstances, Roland would not go to his subordinates' homes to bother these subordinates who were resting.

"Help me take a look at this!" Roland quickly handed over the Dragon's Language in his hand.

"Dragon language? Where did you get that from? This thing is no good! It could cause disaster if you're not careful!" Kaslo said seriously. As a dragon rider, he certainly understood the horror of dragon language. If someone lucky enough saw these things chanting dragon language correctly, then they would undoubtedly bring disaster without any control! It was as dangerous as pressing the nuclear launch button.

"Yun Feng gave it to me! He said it was a royal heirloom, a legendary item!" Roland explained the origin of the Dragon's Language to dispel Caslo's doubts.

"It was given by Lord Yun Feng! There shouldn't be any problem!" Caslo still trusted this wise man with a somewhat strange temper.

"So can you understand it?" Roland interrupted Caslo impatiently. He also longed to become a dragon knight. After all, which man could resist the pleasure of bombarding the sky?

"Of course! Cardo successfully evolved into a storm dragon, and the memories engraved in his blood were unlocked, so I can understand a lot of dragon languages, but only common dragon language and wind dragon language! I can't understand other dragon languages." Kaslo nodded.

"Then find a few people you know to translate it for me." Roland handed the Dragon's Language to Caslo curiously. He wanted to know what was in it.

"This! This! This! And this! They are all wind dragon language! As long as you chant them correctly, you can release dragon language magic! But you need magic power." Kaslo pointed to several lines of characters and said to Roland.

"Then read it to me?" Roland asked curiously, pointing to a passage of wind dragon language.

"...Your Highness, do you no longer want River Rapids? This is the forbidden spell Storm Decay!" Kaslo's eyes widened instantly. What's the difference between reciting Dragon Language and casting forbidden spells? Aside from the Dragon Language used for communication, every other Dragon Language phrase represents a Dragon Language spell. Just reading the ones Kaslo just pointed out would evaporate the entire River Rapids.

"Is it that serious?" Roland was also shocked.

"You don't have any magic power, so what are you afraid of?" Roland said. Only with magic power can you release magic, and fighting spirit can only release combat skills.

"The dragon knight's fighting spirit will be converted into dragon power. Dragon power contains all the characteristics of fighting spirit and magic power...so the dragon knight is equivalent to practicing both magic and martial arts." Kaslo explained.

"This...what should I do? Is it really impossible to learn the dragon language?" Roland said helplessly. The moment he opened his mouth, it was a forbidden spell, and no one could stand it!

"How about this, Your Highness? Start by learning the common dragon language, so that you can communicate with wild dragons. As for the rest of the dragon language, you will have to rely on your luck." Caslo finally came up with this solution as a compromise.
