In Buddhism, lotus has never been limited to common colors such as white and gold. Red lotus also has important significance in Buddhism.
Buddhism believes that a heart full of desires will make people restless, and cutting off all desires will also bring pain. By understanding and controlling desires, one can achieve inner peace and wisdom.
The red lotus symbolizes the process of transforming desire into wisdom.
There is one more point, which is also the most important one.
In Buddhism, red lotus is often associated with hell, especially the eight cold hells, of which the red lotus hell is one.
The name of the Red Lotus Hell comes from the fact that the skin of the prisoners is frozen and cracked due to the severe cold, which turns it red. Therefore, it is called the Red Lotus Hell.
