The union of emptiness and bliss of the Laughing Buddha is based on this Buddhist teaching.

To use the words from Buddhist scriptures, it is called "first arouse them with desire, then lead them to Buddha's wisdom", thus achieving the goal of controlling desire with desire.

Pinggong Qianye found it difficult to agree with such Buddhist theory, but also difficult to oppose it.

The Dharma is there, but each person sees it differently due to his or her own temperament and wisdom.

Some Dharmas are so grand and magnificent, and so compassionate, that many Buddhist practitioners follow them.

Some Dharmas are difficult to explain and contain great fear, so only a handful of practitioners are willing to practice them.

However, there is no obvious difference between these two methods. Having many believers does not mean it is correct, and having few believers does not mean it is wrong.

The so-called difference between high and low is just the crushing of the group with more believers over the group with fewer believers.

All roads lead to Rome, and perhaps the same is true for Buddhism.

Is there anyone in this world who can truly become a Buddha?

No.

Since there is not, it means that all sentient beings are still on the path of understanding the Dharma.

Who can prove that his path is correct and can definitely lead to the Western Paradise?

Moreover, Buddhism originated in India, and was spread to Tibet, China, and then to Japan. Due to the differences in their respective local cultures, there are always differences in many doctrines.

Pinggong Qianye was just flipping through the book "The Great Sage's Joyful Offering Method" with the mentality of a pure reader.

It mainly introduces a method of dual cultivation between men and women, which allows men and women to quickly improve each other's practice through sexual intercourse, and eventually reach the state of bliss and nirvana.

It's just that, although, Pinggong Qianye wanted to read this scripture as objectively as possible.

But some of the words in it, the creativity of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism in using vocabulary related to sexual intercourse between men and women, still left him dumbfounded.

Probably the more you practice, the more abstinent you become.

It cannot be said to be abstinence, but it is to gradually see through and abandon desires in order to achieve a state of no desires.
