I have said before that if this book can be published in Sanjiang, I will update 15 chapters on the day it is put on the shelves. Now is the time to fulfill my promise.
My own typing speed is usually 3 chapters a day, basically accumulating one chapter every day, which is why I have accumulated so many manuscripts with great effort.
To be honest, before I started writing the book, I never thought about being published in Sanjiang, because I was used to being eliminated in the first round, and my first two books didn’t even qualify for the second round.
Especially after the disastrous failure in the previous one, I didn’t even dare to hope to be admitted to Sanjiang.

Speaking of this, I must also thank my editor Qingzhou. The subject of Tokyo Monks was suggested by Qingzhou. I thought it was interesting, so I tried to write about it, and this is how this book came into being.
Many readers say that this book is similar to Xiuerfo’s, and it is indeed very similar.
When I was thinking of the title of the book, I also wanted to use "I'm a Monk in Tokyo"... Unfortunately, I couldn't use that, and later I thought of many other titles.
For example: "The Years I Was a Monk in Tokyo", "Tokyo Demon-Slaying Master", "Tokyo: There Are Always Monsters Trying to Harm Me", "When I'm in Tokyo, the Monsters Here Are Not Ordinary"...
Finally, it was because of the game Persona 5 that I decided to title the book “Tokyo Monk’s Adventures.”
Later I found out that there is also a book called "Odd Stories of Tokyo Taoist Priests"... There's nothing I can do about it, it's becoming increasingly difficult to come up with book titles nowadays.
After the title of the book was decided, the overall tone of the whole novel was established, with the main part being strange stories, supplemented by pretentiousness, face-slapping moments, and daily life.
I must admit that I am not good at pretending to be cool and making people slap their faces, which makes me look a little stiff and stupid. But this is a must, otherwise the results will be very bad. I have already suffered a lot in the last book, and wrote nearly 20 words in vain.
Let’s talk about the issue of the heroines that readers are concerned about. I did not write about this aspect specifically, but let them develop as the story progresses.
The main female characters in this book are Horii Suzune, Aoandon, and Jingu Yaezakura, and Yuki Onna is also an important character.
Among them, Horii Suzune is the story line connecting the school and urban legends, Aoandon is the story line between new and old monsters, and Jingu Yaezakura is the story line of the three traditions of Buddhism, Shintoism, and Onmyoji.
Let’s talk about the Japanese monsters in novels. Their main images are still based on the game images of a certain game.
I also played a certain game called Onmyoji in my early years, so I am familiar with the characters in it.
Next, urban legends that readers want to read about, such as Toilet Hanako, Slit-mouthed Woman, Hachisha-sama, etc. will be written about. As for monsters, Tamamonomae, Shiranui, Youtouhime, etc. will be written about, and then some monsters from traditional Japanese stories will be added.
