Chapter 184: Zhao Yun's Courage

Ke Bineng, who was still commanding his army in a charge, felt a sudden pang of unease.

He quickly sensed a strong gust of wind approaching, and with a squeeze of his horse's flanks, the horse's hooves rose high, and he leaned backward.

The sweeping spear grazed past his chest, moving incredibly fast, creating a sonic boom in the air.

After regaining his balance, Ke Bineng felt cold sweat trickling down his back. If he had been two seconds slower, he would have been knocked flying by that spear.

With such terrifying power, even if he didn't die, he would likely be severely injured and no longer able to fight.

With bloodshot eyes, he stared intently at the young general in front of him, his hoarse voice ringing out!

"Boy, you're looking for death!"

He wielded his great saber, swinging it forward, intending to kill the young man in front of him and make him realize that he was not to be trifled with.

Zhao Yun saw his opponent charging and snorted. His spear spun in a beautiful flourish in the air.

He squeezed his horse's flanks, held the spear with one hand, and continued to charge towards his opponent.

Their weapons quickly clashed, erupting in booming sounds.

After dozens of consecutive clashes, Ke Bineng felt his arm go numb, and the web of his hand was even cracking.

He was incredibly shocked as he looked at the young general in front of him.

At such a young age, he possessed such divine strength, completely suppressing him, leaving him no room to retaliate.

He gnashed his teeth, making a grinding sound, veins bulged on his arms, and his great saber swung continuously, much faster than before.

But facing Zhao Yun's spear, he still seemed outmatched. He was repeatedly forced back, cold sweat beaded on his forehead, and even his horse whinnied.

Ke Bineng felt some regret. If he had known this young general was so formidable, he would never have dared to fight him.

After more than thirty clashes, a cold glint flashed in Zhao Yun's eyes. He twisted his wrist, and the spear instantly moved with extreme speed.

The spear shot out like a dragon, as fast as lightning, like a meteor streaking across the void.

It thrust forward, intending to strike him down with this single blow.

Ke Bineng was startled by the terrifying spear shadow, his face filled with panic. He quickly swung his great saber, trying to block it.

But the moment they collided, the great saber was directly knocked out of his hand, and the spear tip, its momentum unchecked, continued to stab towards his chest.

Fear permeated Ke Bineng's entire body, his eyes showing panic and unwillingness.

Just then, a big man galloped towards them, his two giant axes sweeping forward.

The charging spear paused in mid-air for a moment, then was directly deflected.

Zhao Yun's body swayed slightly but he quickly regained his balance.

He looked at the charging big man. The weapon in his hand had been knocked away, and his face showed a hint of pain, clearly injured by the immense force.

Ke Bineng, seeing himself unharmed, let out a sigh of relief.

He looked at the person next to him, realizing it was his younger brother, who had saved his life.

Ju Luo Hou said nothing, his face anxious, and loudly proclaimed!

"Brother, you go first!"

"I'll hold this person here."

Ke Bineng heard this and quickly shook his head, saying urgently!

"I'm the elder brother, you go first!"

But Ju Luo Hou, who had always been relatively gentle and obedient, had bloodshot eyes and roared heartbreakingly!

"Brother, stop talking nonsense!"

"Many of the leaders in the army have already led their troops to flee. The current situation is beyond salvation. If we continue to entangle ourselves here, we will all die."

"While we still have some power to resist, quickly take the remaining troops and retreat. We must return to the grasslands intact and lead our tribe to glory!"

After saying this, Ju Luo Hou did not hesitate. He squeezed his horse's flanks, gripped his two giant axes, and charged towards Zhao Yun.

Ke Bineng heard this and was completely stunned, his eyes filled with resentment. He hadn't expected the assembled tribal leaders to abandon him and flee.

He watched as his younger brother was already fighting the enemy general.

He was extremely reluctant, but the current situation no longer allowed him to hesitate.

If he couldn't return to the grasslands alive, his tribe would surely be swallowed up and disappear from the grasslands forever.

He took one last look at his younger brother, his eyes bloodshot, and immediately took the few remaining people around him and left the area.

He began to gather the surrounding routed soldiers, following him as they broke through to the west.

Zhao Yun's spear continuously swung, forcing the burly man with the double axes to retreat repeatedly. His chest was numb from the impact, and blood even flowed from the corner of his mouth.

Ju Luo Hou showed no fear or apprehension, his eyes filled with determination.

His giant axes danced repeatedly, clashing fiercely, clearly intending to use his own life to prevent the Han Army general from pursuing his elder brother.

A cold light flickered in Zhao Yun's eyes. He had initially felt some pity for this man, at least for putting his life on the line for his elder brother.

But the opponent was, after all, a Xianbei barbarian, so he naturally could not spare his life.

His spear, as fast as lightning, instantly swept forward.

It directly knocked the giant axes from his opponent's hands, and the man himself swayed on his horse's back.

The spear did not stop, directly piercing through the man's chest.

A thud sounded, and blood instantly splattered out.

Ju Luo Hou's face showed pain, and blood gushed from the corner of his mouth. He tightly gripped the spear that had pierced his abdomen, preventing his opponent from pulling it out.

Zhao Yun paused for a moment, looking at the unwavering resolve of the man before him.

He finally sighed and did not immediately pull out the spear.

After only a few breaths, Ju Luo Hou's hand, gripping the spear tip, completely loosened, and his entire body went limp.

His head drooped slightly, showing no signs of life. His life had been completely pierced through by that spear.

Only then did Zhao Yun pull out the spear, and the body on the horse's back slumped lifelessly.

He felt a newfound respect for this man. Although they served different masters, his loyalty, courage, and fearlessness in the face of death were truly rare.

After killing this man, Zhao Yun did not linger. Instead, he led the soldiers behind him and continued to charge forward.

It was simply a slaughter, like cutting melons and vegetables, because the Xianbei soldiers had long lost their will to fight. They threw down their weapons and fled into the distance; no one was fighting to the death.

The sun hung in the sky, casting warm rays that illuminated the land before them.

The great battle continued until noon before gradually subsiding.

The entire military camp was in ruins, a scene of desolation, all consumed by flames.

Many bodies lay everywhere, charred by the flames, and some bodies were still oozing blood, a tragic sight of death and injury.

A large number of Han Army soldiers were clearing the battlefield, rounding up all the captives. As for the bodies, they were all piled up, ready to be buried in a pit.
