Chapter 116: Kill the Interceptor

However, things did not happen as Feng Jun had envisioned; the Interceptor's body suddenly swelled.

Feng Jun thought it was about to unleash a sonic attack, but to his surprise, many small pores opened on the Interceptor's skin, spraying out a grayish-green gas.

Originally, blue corpse-suppressing smoke had already begun to drift across the deck, but the grayish-green gas released from the Interceptor's skin dispelled the corpse-suppressing smoke that had spread to its vicinity, forming an area around it that was completely isolated from the corpse-suppressing smoke.

Seeing the corpse-suppressing smoke isolated, Feng Jun's facial expression gradually grew serious.

A sense of danger, born from the depths of his heart, gradually surged up; the Interceptor's mutation was definitely not as simple as it appeared from its size alone.

However, just from its appearance, the Interceptor's body structure had undergone a significant change, transforming from its original four-legged crawling stance to a bipedal one.

Its right arm regrew into a sharp blade resembling a scimitar, and its left claw-hand slightly increased in size.

An eyeball regrew beneath its chin, flattening its original head, which now only showed two blurry eyes and half a flattened face hanging above them.

But looking at the Interceptor's current appearance, there was no mouth on its entire body, so it should be impossible for it to launch another sonic attack using its eyeball.

Feng Jun couldn't help but break into a cold sweat, and then, to be safe, he immediately entered the Blood Eye State.

The vertical pupils stared intently at Feng Jun, along with the two original eyes that had been squeezed upwards.

The piye bacteria within the Interceptor rapidly proliferated and mutated upon encountering danger, quickly adapting to the environment created by Feng Jun and the corpse-suppressing smoke.

The current Interceptor should be called Interceptor Type II; its original head was pushed to one side, and although it still retained some consciousness and control over its body, the main control had been taken over by this newly grown eye.

Feng Jun's Power Armor was reflected in the yellow vitreous humor, and in the next second, it directly launched an attack on Feng Jun.

It instantly flashed in front of Feng Jun, and the scimitar-shaped exoskeleton of its right arm directly slashed at Feng Jun's waist.

Feng Jun had already activated his Blood Eye, and although the speed of this strike was greatly enhanced, it was not enough to prevent Feng Jun from blocking it.

However, the weight transmitted from his right arm was indeed much greater than before, and Feng Jun's Power Armor was directly sent flying.

"Its speed hasn't recovered, but its strength has increased?" Feng Jun had already analyzed the situation before him.

But the Interceptor didn't give him another chance to breathe, pushing off with its legs and lunging at Feng Jun, its left claw aiming straight for Feng Jun's chest.

Seeing that Feng Jun couldn't dodge, he was already prepared to directly teleport away, when Li Lu suddenly ran from the deck behind him, holding an electric hammer with its power turned to maximum, striking the Interceptor with a blue electric glow.

Li Lu's blow was almost with full force; under her monstrous strength, the Interceptor took a heavy hit, flying directly to one side and crashing against the side of the ship, then falling down.

Feng Jun escaped a close call and let out a long breath, not expecting to be saved by Li Lu again this time.

However, he didn't have time to say much to Li Lu right now.

The Interceptor had gripped the outside of the ship's railing with its claws and would soon climb up.

Since it had come to this, there was no need to continue fighting; Feng Jun immediately ordered Hu Kun to use the N1 Tank's main cannon to bombard the Interceptor hanging on the side of the ship.

Hu Kun had been in a state of confusion from the very beginning; not long after his boss went after it, that Mutant actually transformed.

Then, the boss's wife directly rushed up and smashed the mutated Mutant flying with one hammer, and now he finally had a chance to fire at the Interceptor.

The N1 Tank was now like a shorn lion, but its main cannon was still usable.

Hu Kun immediately adjusted the ammunition and locked onto the climbing Interceptor.

Accompanied by the screech of electricity and energy release, Hu Kun aimed at the Interceptor and fired continuously.

After ordering Hu Kun to fire, Feng Jun and Li Lu ran towards the stern of the ship; the tungsten-core projectile directly pierced through the entire hull.

Since the Interceptor was hanging on the side of the ship, it was perfectly exposed to the N1 Tank's electromagnetic cannon, giving Hu Kun his moment to shine.

Although the Interceptor released its claws in time, two shells still hit its right leg and abdomen.

No matter how powerful its body was after a second evolution, it could not withstand the direct impact of electromagnetic cannon projectiles.

The high-speed projectiles directly penetrated the Interceptor's body, tearing apart its entire lower half.

This was the strength the N1 Tank should have displayed; initially, it was due to Hu Kun's underestimation that the Interceptor got close.

Although the Interceptor's destructive power and combat level increased after its second-stage transformation, it consumed most of the energy stored in the Interceptor's cells, and its movement speed actually decreased.

Therefore, the Interceptor did not easily dodge the electromagnetic cannon shells as it did in the first stage.

Seeing the Interceptor's remains fall into the seawater, Feng Jun and Li Lu also jumped down.

The Harbor area had collapsed beyond recognition due to a long period without human and mechanical maintenance.

Feng Jun and Li Lu stood in the seawater, beginning to search for the Interceptor's remains.

Soon, the Interceptor emerged from the seawater, dragging its remaining half-body.

Its lower half and abdomen were completely shattered, with only a portion of skin around its waist and its left leg still connected, appearing to have lost its ability to move.

Feng Jun, fearing that it might trigger a third-stage transformation again, immediately shot at the Interceptor's abdomen with his Bolter.

At this point, although the Interceptor had lost its lower body, its upper body remained very flexible.

Seeing Feng Jun, it then propped itself up with both arms and lunged at the two of them.

Feng Jun's Electromagnetic Combat Blade on his right arm had many nicks, but it was still sharp.

As the Interceptor rushed close, Feng Jun used his thrusters to leap high, and the Electromagnetic Combat Blade traced an arc in the air, directly piercing the Interceptor's massive eyeball.

With its eyeball pierced, the Interceptor let out a low-frequency shriek, and yellow liquid flowed from its eyeball, pooling on the ground.

Li Lu's movement was slightly slower; her electromagnetic hammer directly struck the Interceptor's head, smashing its head into its chest cavity.

Feng Jun followed up with two more slashes, directly cutting off the Interceptor's right and left arms.

Still uneasy, Li Lu delivered a few more hammer blows, continuing until the Interceptor's entire head and brainstem were reduced to pulp before she stopped.

The Interceptor's body, cut into several pieces, did not immediately lose its vitality; countless tiny flesh threads extended from the wounds, writhing incessantly, and the severed body seemed to want to reassemble itself.

It wasn't until Feng Jun split open the remaining half of the Interceptor's body and found the blood-red gene seed in its heart that the Interceptor's continuously writhing flesh finally stopped.
