Chapter 26: Tempering the right foot bone

Battle techniques are not like Martial Arts Schools, which have so many routines. They focus more on the attack power of each strike. There are no feints or similar Moves.

Martial Arts Schools have complex routines and exquisite Moves. In fact, they all lead to the same goal: to attack the opponent.

The routines and Moves of Martial Arts Schools allow one to attack enemies more effectively. And there are more diverse choices, whether it's striking acupuncture points, grappling, or killing.

Battle techniques, however, do not consider these, but rather how much damage can be caused with each hit on the enemy? If one hit doesn't kill, then another hit. The combos in battle techniques mean just that.

Moreover, battle techniques only focus on how Qi and Blood condenses, how it explodes, and how it can produce the greatest killing effect.

Martial Arts Schools, on the other hand, are more comprehensive. The same goes for the magic-modified Martial Arts Schools. They need to focus on muscle coordination and which Meridians Qi and Blood flows through.

Before striking, where does Qi and Blood flow to, and where does it condense before hitting the opponent? How does it explode when it hits the opponent's body?

It might not be appropriate to compare the ultimate techniques in Martial Arts Schools with low-level battle techniques. But overall, battle techniques are simpler and more brutal. Martial Arts Schools are more subtle and refined.

Upon returning to the dormitory, Zhang Hao first exchanged 50 value points for a low-level Martial Arts School, Shadowless Kick, in the mall. Then he went to the Martial Arts Arena to practice it.

This time, the difference was quite obvious. Shadowless Kick requires speed. But it also involves injecting all the power into the foot only before attacking the opponent.

Zhang Hao practiced all the Moves of Shadowless Kick several times. Once he became proficient, he tried to combine the techniques from Chuō Jiǎo with Shadowless Kick.

However, while theoretically feasible, it was still very difficult in practical application. He tried several times without success.

Zhang Hao knew that it was because his Chuō Jiǎo and Shadowless Kick were not yet at Major Achievement. If both were practiced to Major Achievement, perhaps they could be combined.

He first practiced Shadowless Kick, because the Shadowless Kick transmitted to him by the System was explained in great detail, with virtually all key points and details pointed out.

There were even human body diagrams showing the flow of Qi and Blood.

Practicing according to it was no problem. As for Chuō Jiǎo, although Lü Fengrou explained it in great detail, it still required him to ponder it himself.

Zhang Hao decided to wait until evening, when his badge returned, to practice Chuō Jiǎo.

He practiced Shadowless Kick against the summoned dummy. Shadowless Kick emphasizes speed, with the feet moving like shadows.

He practiced until evening when the System sent a message.

Zhang Hao immediately chose to enter the Trading Square.

Soon, he arrived at Qiankun Dan Sheng's stall.

Qiankun Dan Sheng saw Zhang Hao approaching and handed him a pair of wrist guards and the badge. He directly wore the badge on his chest, then picked up the wrist guards and saw that their appearance was the same as what he had seen before. They were equally domineering.

At this point, Qiankun Dan Sheng began to introduce to Zhang Hao: “I had my Senior Brother from the Artifact Refining Pavilion refine these for you, using good Materials. They can fully meet your requirements. Don't let their status as Low Grade Magical Artifacts fool you. Not even a High Grade Magical Artifact can cut them.”

“Additionally, considering that you are in a Martial Dao world, I specifically added safety measures for you. You should first optimize them with the System. Then, bind them with a drop of blood; there's a surprise waiting for you.”

Zhang Hao obeyed, contacting the System for optimization, which cost a full 300 value points. He then dripped a drop of blood onto each of the two wrist guards.

Then he put the two wrist guards on his wrists. He finally understood what Qiankun Dan Sheng meant by “surprise.”

Qiankun Dan Sheng said triumphantly, “How about that, I'm generous, right! These wrist guards are just relatively sturdy wrist guards in someone else's hands.

Only in your hands can the two hidden Spells within them be used. I specifically chose these for you. One is a Strength Spell, and the other is a Lightness Spell. Even if you use them in your world, others won't notice anything.”

You can't deny, Qiankun Dan Sheng was indeed thoughtful. Zhang Hao immediately expressed his gratitude. After chatting for a while, the two returned to the Martial Arts Arena.

He first recalled the key points and demonstration movements Lü Fengrou had taught that morning.

He realized that his previous understanding was not thorough enough. After carefully recalling them several times, he felt he had a good grasp. He practiced Chuō Jiǎo against the dummy for a while.

Then, Zhang Hao had a sudden idea to activate scene playback and watch himself practice Chuō Jiǎo in the playback scene. He observed his practice from an outsider's perspective to identify any issues.

You know, sometimes you feel like you've done it. But from a third-person perspective, there are still flaws.

He compared his own Moves with Lü Fengrou's demonstration Moves and found the shortcomings.

Then he stopped the scene playback and continued to practice.

After practicing for a while, he would activate scene playback again.

This practice method was much more effective than simply practicing relentlessly on his own.

He practiced until around ten o'clock, then Zhang Hao returned to his bedroom and rested early.

He woke up the next day, went out for breakfast, and upon returning, hung a sign on his dormitory door that read “Cultivating in seclusion, please do not disturb.”

Zhang Hao went to the practice room; he didn't go to the Martial Arts Arena to Cultivate today.

After making all preparations, Zhang Hao began to Cultivate the Tempering Method, mobilizing about 120 cards of Qi and Blood to flush his Right Foot Bone.

While replenishing Qi and Blood with the System, he used the Tempering Method to urge Qi and Blood to flush his Right Foot Bone. He wanted to temper his Right Foot Bone as a whole.

With the Earth Divine Script providing Mental Energy, and wealth value replenishing Qi and Blood and Mental Energy.

Zhang Hao Cultivated very easily, and slowly he relaxed.

He began to try and condense the 120 cards of Qi and Blood. The degree of condensation increased little by little, and the flushing effect of the condensed Qi and Blood was naturally better.

However, if condensed too much, it could easily damage the bone. Since the foot bone was being tempered as a whole, Zhang Hao did not dare to be too reckless.

When he felt it was about right, he maintained that level of condensation. The Qi and Blood output was consistently controlled at around 120 cards.

The consumed Qi and Blood and Mental Energy were also continuously replenished with wealth value. Zhang Hao noted that it consumed about two cards of Qi and Blood per minute; if not condensed, about one card per minute would be enough.

Under normal circumstances, with his entire body's Qi and Blood. If condensed, he could only last for two hours. If Qi and Blood were not condensed, he could only last for four hours. Of course, Qi and Blood could not be completely exhausted.

If he retained the most basic 100 points of Qi and Blood, that would mean that even without condensation, he could only last for two hours.

In this case, even taking Medicinal Pills could replenish it. If he took a Qi and Blood Pill of the second grade, it would be even less of a problem.

With the data tallied, Zhang Hao felt more confident. This way, he wouldn't be at home tempering his Right Foot Bone alone, which would seem very strange.

Now it seems that under normal circumstances. Even without the System replenishing Qi and Blood. Just relying on Medicinal Pills is fine. At most, taking a second-grade Qi and Blood Pill would make people feel a bit wasteful.

It is indeed a bit wasteful, but the progress is fast! Tempering 26 foot bones at once, who else can do that?

Moreover, saying it's wasteful isn't entirely accurate. Tempering bone by bone doesn't necessarily save Qi and Blood Pills.
