Chapter 89: static power

Zhang Zhiwei pulled his consciousness out of the Crimson Palace, opened his eyes, ended his meditation, stood up and walked out, heading towards the Taoist Temple on Longhu Mountain.

Since he decided to go into the inner world to catch the inner demon, Zhang Zhiwei naturally had to study how to enter the inner world.

“Bang, bang, bang!”

The sound of loud bronze chimes rang out.

Zhang Zhiwei came to the Taoist Canon Hall of the Tianshi Mansion.

"Zhiwei, why are you here?"

An old Taoist priest with white hair and beard who was stationed in front of the Taoist Temple said with a smile.

"Uncle Master, I have some doubts about my cultivation recently. I want to read some secret books and see the cultivation experience of my predecessors to see if it can inspire me?" Zhang Zhiwei said with a smile.

"You are the only one who has so many doubts. You come here every few days. Go in, and remember not to damage those precious Taoist scriptures!" said the old Taoist priest with a smile.

"Look at what you said. I've been there so many times, but have I ever damaged the Taoist scriptures inside?" Zhang Zhiwei said.

"You kid... By the way, I heard that this time when you came down the mountain, you challenged half of the younger generation in the alien world in the Lu family compound by yourself, and never used a second trick to defeat the enemies. Did you bring great reputation to our Tianshi Mansion?" The uncle laughed.

Although Zhang Jingqing was somewhat dissatisfied with Zhang Zhiwei's character, the other senior masters in the Tianshi Mansion liked Zhang Zhiwei very much!

He is very powerful and has often brought glory to the Tianshi Mansion in competitions with the younger generation. How can we not like him?

As for being somewhat arrogant, is that a problem? If young people don't have a strong temper, can they still be called young people?

"ah……"

Zhang Zhiwei touched his nose and said, "Keep a low profile. By the way, how did you know about this kind of thing, Uncle Master, since you've been in the Daozang Hall the entire time?"

"How should I know?"

The uncle laughed heartily and said, "Those little fellows who always follow you around are eager to put up banners for you."

Zhang Zhiwei: “…………”

Although he had no intention of keeping this secret, he never expected it to spread so quickly. It had only been a day and everyone knew about it.

Zhang Zhiwei secretly complained, "Everyone says I'm a big mouth, but in fact, Tian Jinzhong, the guy who will be the most tight-lipped in the future, is the one with the biggest mouth in Longhu Mountain. This guy can't keep things secret at all. Even if he holds back during the day, he will tell it in his dreams at night..."

This is also the reason why Tian Jinzhong did not sleep for seventy years.

As soon as the uncle saw Zhang Zhiwei's expression, he knew what had happened and laughed, "Look at you, is it because your master told you not to say it, but you spread it out again?"

“Hehehe…”

Zhang Zhiwei scratched his head and laughed, "How does that saying go? If you don't return home when you're rich and powerful, it's like walking in brocade clothes at night!"

"You're right, kid. Senior Brother is always overthinking, always worrying about this and that. He wants you to avoid detours, but knowledge gained from books is always shallow. Some things can only be understood through personal experience. Okay, come on in!"

After exchanging a few polite words with his uncle, Zhang Zhiwei entered the main hall.

In the dark hall, there stood a huge copper basin of charcoal fire, with raging flames inside.

The Daozang Hall is equivalent to the Sutra Repository, which contains various secret books of the sect. It is an important place of the sect and ordinary people are not qualified to enter.

But Zhang Zhiwei was a disciple who pretended to be a god and hoped to become a Heavenly Master in the future. Naturally, the Taoist Canon Hall in Longhu Mountain was not guarded against him and he was free to read the many secret books in the hall.

Zhang Zhiwei came to one of the bookcases and casually took out a volume of Taoist scriptures to read. The bookcase contained Taoist scriptures related to astrology, divination, feng shui and physiognomy.

These include but are not limited to the art of Qimen Dunjia. The art of sorcery is very profound. The Zhuge family inherited the Wuhou Qimen, and the Shuzi family inherited the Liu Yao Jinqian.

In the Taoist Canon of Tianshi Mansion, in addition to the ordinary art of Qimen Dunjia, there are also two methods that are on par with Qimen Dunjia in the field of magic - Taiyi Shenshu and Da Liuren Yili. These three are collectively known as the "Three Styles" of the magician, representing the highest level of magic.

The "three styles" can all determine the outcome and opening of the market. Fundamentally speaking, they are inseparable from the Heavenly Stems, Earthly Branches, the River Map, the Luoshu, the Eight Trigrams, and the Symbols and Numbers... It's just that the forms of expression and the emphasis are different.

Among them, Taiyi Divine Numbers focuses on stargazing and is good at deducing the situation in the world, manipulating the stars, and arranging Feng Shui Qi Bureau. Many counselors who assisted wise kings in history were good at this. They could always find a group of emperors and overlords who were doing miserably in some corners and start investing in them.

The Da Liu Ren Yi Li focuses on divination and is good at fortune-telling. They can see a person's fate and can also influence a person's life fortune by adjusting the fate.

As for Qi Men Dun Jia, it focuses on defeating the enemy and excels at combat with magic. Those with advanced skills can even use it for marching and deploying troops, and change the situation of the battle by one person. For example, Zhuge Liang was an expert in this.

Previously, when Zhang Zhiwei was comparing the human body pattern with the Qimen pattern, he told Zhuge Yunhui that the human body pattern was more complicated than the Qimen pattern. The reason was that the human body pattern also included the contents of the other two patterns.

Zhang Zhiwei is not interested in Taiyi Shenshu and Liuren Yili now. He mainly knows about Qimen Dunjia, and the static practice of Qimen Dunjia.

The most profound Taoist canon of Qi Men Dun Jia on this bookshelf is called "The Secret Treasures of the Mysterious Changes of the Six Yin Dong Wei Dun Jia True Scripture", abbreviated as "The Six Yin Dong Wei True Scripture".

Zhang Zhiwei took it out and walked to a small room on the side of the hall.

This small house is where the disciples of the sect live while they read the Taoist Canon, and it can also be used as a place for retreat and cultivation.

Zhang Zhiwei sat on the cushion and studied it carefully.

With Zhang Zhiwei's ability to comprehend, and having been a Taoist priest for more than ten years, there is no possibility that he cannot understand the Taoist Canon.

Soon, Zhang Zhiwei gained something, and he murmured to himself:

"Aside from the messy techniques like the Earth River Wheel recorded in it, the quiet meditation used by sorcerers to enter a state of meditation is actually very simple. It's just that the threshold is a bit high, so many sorcerers fail at this step!"

Jinggong is actually a general term for practicing in a state of meditation. No matter whether it is life-cultivation or sex-cultivation, one must enter a state of meditation.

The deeper the meditation, the smoother the flow and condensation of Qi, and the faster the practice.

Generally speaking, the practice of static exercises is divided into four stages.

The first stage is called joy from detachment from birth and death, which is the entry point to meditation. Only when you reach this step, abandon all distracting thoughts and have no emotional fluctuations, can you start on the path of practice.

The second stage is called joy arising from concentration. At this time, the feeling of tranquility gradually strengthens, and all things in the world cannot enter the quiet heart, and the speed of practice increases.

The third stage is called the stage of immediate joy. As the practice of meditation deepens, people slowly experience the pleasure brought by tranquility, that is, they enjoy tranquility. The practice speed in this stage is very fast, but many distracting thoughts will also arise. If they cannot be overcome in the practice, they may become possessed.

The fourth stage is called the Pure Land of Renunciation. People who enter this stage abandon even the pleasure brought by tranquility and enter a state of selflessness, that is, a state of emptiness. At this time, the merit of "tranquility" is complete.

Theoretically, the deeper the level of tranquility, the smoother the circulation and condensation of Qi.

Generally speaking, ordinary exercises do not require high levels of tranquility. As long as one can enter a state of concentration, that is, reach the first stage of "joy and happiness from birth and death", one can practice, but the speed of practice will be slower.

But it is different for sorcerers. As soon as they get started, they will face the challenge of inner vision, and the inner vision is actually similar to the third stage of static exercise.

Therefore, if one does not master the meditation practice, and directly practices the art of sorcery, he will often be trapped in the inner world and unable to extricate himself. This is also one of the thresholds for the practice of sorcery.

However, this threshold does not exist for Zhang Zhiwei.

As a Taoist who has achieved some success in inner alchemy, Zhang Zhiwei's meditation has long reached the perfect state of emptiness and purity. There is no problem for him to practice the meditation of a sorcerer.
