Chapter 26: The Fall of the Flayer Dynasty (Part 2)

When the supernova explosion program was activated, the exterior of the entire celestial battleship's spacetime shield was instantly enveloped in dazzling white light.

That light was like countless suns shining together in one area, instantly dispelling the darkness of the surrounding starry sky.

Lin Yu's visual perception was instantly blocked by the white light, but he could feel the Infinite Engine trembling through his connection with the Great Clock.

This trembling was not fear, but the spacetime shield's energy circulation system operating at an overload, short-term enduring a massive energy impact and converting it into circulating energy, as if a warrior on the battlefield was enduring a fierce enemy attack but still standing firm.

Through the Great Clock's dark information reading, in the deep layers of his consciousness, Lin Yu saw the star of the Dezarac Star System undergoing an artificial supernova explosion. Giant energy waves, like a surging tsunami, overturned the entire star system's tomb worlds with an overwhelming force.

The scene was like the end of the world; the star's light was obscured by endless energy, the tomb worlds shattered under the energy impact, and the Space Undead's metallic bodies began to twist and melt under the dual assault of high temperature and energy.

"Dezarac, the core tomb world of the Flayer Dynasty, has been observed," Grey's voice carried ecstasy, his face beaming with the joy of victory. "The phase barrier is broken, and the supernova shockwave is disintegrating living metal! Enemy ground units and space units are melting like snow under the sun!" He reported the battlefield situation excitedly, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

As the Infinite Engine's external environment simulator's visual perception recovered, only a radiation cloud remained at the location of the Dezarac Star System in the star chart.

That cloud was like a desolate battlefield, permeated with the aura of death and destruction.

Lin Yu knew that the dormant Space Undead had been vaporized the instant the supernova erupted, without even time to activate their resurrection protocols. But he also knew that Varrosh, the ruler of the Flayer Dynasty, might still be alive, and as long as his consciousness was connected to the Bone Throne, he remained a huge potential threat.

"Residual Space Undead signals detected in the Dezarac Star System," Grey's pupils suddenly contracted, like a hawk spotting its prey. "There are antimatter energy fluctuations there; it's possible the Bone Throne's resistance has exposed its location."

His voice grew serious, and his eyes revealed vigilance.

"It's Varrosh's Bone Throne," Lin Yu's voice carried a bloodthirsty excitement, as if he smelled the scent of his prey's blood.

"Prepare for a wormhole jump. I will personally go and meet this Flayer King."

His finger traced a path of death on the control panel, like the Grim Reaper's scythe, pointing to the location of the Bone Throne.

"Have the Guards Ghost Legion prepare a star-destroying antimatter bomb. This time, I want him to leave no trace, not even at a quantum level."

His eyes were filled with resolve, determined to completely eliminate this threat.

When the Infinite Engine arrived at the remnants of the Dezarac Star System via wormhole jump, the scene before Lin Yu was like a graveyard composed of twisted spacetime.

Amidst the embers of the supernova explosion, countless metallic fragments drifted, each emitting a painful electromagnetic shriek, as if recounting their past glory and present misery. Lin Yu's dark data reading system was instantly flooded with information—the wails of Space Undead consciousness fragments torn apart in the supernova explosion. These sounds were like sharp needles, piercing his nerves.

Just as everyone was searching for the location of the Bone Throne, the detector suddenly sent back a strong fluctuation.

"Lord of the Divine River, we have detected an unusually powerful energy signal deep within the tomb world. After analysis, it appears to be some kind of powerful pure energy lifeform."

A technical staff member from the Guards Logistics Legion reported in a hurry. Lin Yu's heart jolted. Was this the Star God fragment imprisoned in the World Engine by the Dezarac Bone Kingdom?

He didn't know which Star God it was, but no matter which one, each was an existence formed from the laws of the material universe, inherently sacred and inherently powerful lifeforms.

This was an extremely precious existence, containing powerful and mysterious energy. If he could obtain it, it would not only have immeasurable effects on the Federation's technological development and strength enhancement, but most importantly, it would be one of his greatest gains in this universe, and it also concerned the subsequent ultimate improvement of his life level.

"Increase search efforts. Ensure the safe recovery of the fragment," Lin Yu quickly ordered, his eyes revealing the importance he placed on this discovery. Grey immediately directed four Guards legions to dispatch exploration teams, cautiously advancing towards the signal source while ensuring their own safety.

After a difficult search, the Guards finally found a hyper-dimensional cube cage device in a hidden tomb. At its core, there seemed to be a fragment, constantly emitting powerful energy ripples that surged within.

The fragment emitted a faint blue light, which seemed to contain endless stellar power, making people instinctively want to approach it. Lin Yu personally came to the location of the fragment. He could feel the powerful energy contained within the fragment trembling slightly, as if resonating with his own power. He carefully put away the fragment, secretly pondering the various possibilities this fragment might bring.

"Locate the Bone Throne." After carefully storing the Star God fragment, Lin Yu immediately refocused on eliminating Varrosh.

His voice became calm and terrifying again, as if all emotions had converged at this moment, leaving only cold murderous intent towards the enemy. "Cleanse the entire area with antimatter beams."

His command caused twelve thick, dark red beams of light to erupt from the battleship's belly, like twelve enraged fire dragons, rushing towards the location of the Bone Throne.

"I will make the Flayer Dynasty completely disappear from the history of the galaxy."

When the antimatter beams struck the Bone Throne, Lin Yu felt an unprecedented exhilaration. He saw Varrosh's consciousness struggling in the energy storm, like a ghost consumed by flames, letting out a mournful shriek. In the final moment, he even captured the Flayer King's dying fear—the fear of true death. As the Bone Throne was pulverized by the antimatter beams, the last trace of the Flayer Dynasty was completely erased.

"Lord of the Divine River, the Flayer Dynasty has been eradicated," Grey's voice was filled with reverence. He looked at Lin Yu, his eyes full of admiration. "According to the Little Clock's calculations, this operation will delay the awakening process of the Space Undead in the entire Ghoul Star Region by at least two hundred years."

Lin Yu gazed at the gradually dissipating antimatter cloud, a sudden emptiness in his heart. He knew this victory was only the beginning; deeper in the galaxy, more Space Undead dynasties awaited him. But at least for now, he had cleared a safe rear for the Federation in this dangerous, dark galaxy.

"Return to base," Lin Yu commanded as the red markers on the star chart extinguished one by one, as if announcing the end of a battle.

"Tell the Federation Academy of Sciences that they have two hundred years to research Space Undead technology—provided we can have this period of peace..."

He turned and walked towards the bridge exit, his steps firm and steady.

"Also, have Dr. Morgen come see me. I want to personally guide him in developing the Federation's shipborne phase-space jammer. That way, we won't have to personally pilot celestial battleships into action anymore."

As the Infinite Engine activated its superluminal warp drive, Lin Yu took one last look at the remnants of the Dezarac Star System. The radiation cloud there was forming new stardust, as if recounting the demise of an ancient dynasty, and his journey had not yet reached its end. In the vast galaxy, more challenges and opportunities awaited him.
