Chapter 5: New beginnings and technological insights

In the perilous Warhammer Universe, Lin Yu harbored the ambition of one day becoming a great scientist like He Xi, or Ding Ge Hei of the Shenhe Civilization.

He deeply understood the importance of the Divine civilizations, which were intertwined with the main god, for achieving his goals. For this outing to gather followers, he chose the chaotic and desperate Bloodrust Market in the Underhive.

Finally, Lin Yu embarked on the return journey with over thirty people. Besides the scrawny boy who first stepped forward, the woman with the tattered headscarf, and the lame-legged veteran, over thirty more had been gradually convinced by him and willingly followed.

To conveniently settle these followers, Lin Yu performed the Wormhole Teleportation technique. A strange light flashed, and space seemed to twist and fold. The followers only saw a flash of white light before their surroundings completely changed in the blink of an eye.

Initially, they were panicked, their eyes filled with fear and confusion, their bodies trembling uncontrollably. However, as they clearly saw the spacious, bright, and futuristic-looking area around them, their inner fear gradually dissipated.

Lin Yu's tall and resolute figure in front of them was like a towering mountain, providing them with an endless sense of security, and everyone slowly calmed down.

At the same time, Lin Yu waved his hand, a graceful and powerful gesture. Instantly, ample food and clean drinking water appeared before everyone. The food emitted an enticing aroma, a stark contrast to the putrid food they were accustomed to in the Underhive.

However, these people, who had lived in the Underhive for a long time, understood the law of the jungle, and held a deep reverence for the strong, none dared to rush forward and snatch the food. They simply stood quietly, their eyes filled with both longing and a hint of fear.

"Take it and eat, there's no need to fight over it. If it's not enough, you can contact Gaia and have it arrange for robots to deliver more. By the way, Gaia is the base's artificial intelligence."

Lin Yu slowly turned around, his masculine and handsome face gradually becoming clear to everyone. His voice was gentle yet held an undeniable power, as if it possessed a magic that further soothed the crowd's tense emotions.

"Sir, are you a god?" a small girl with two pigtails asked timidly. Her eyes were clear and bright, full of curiosity and awe towards the unknown.

"I am not a god yet, but I might be in the future," Lin Yu replied with a smile, his eyes revealing confidence and determination.

Though no one spoke, everyone secretly felt that this was no different from being a god. In their eyes, Lin Yu possessed such miraculous abilities, capable of instantly changing their circumstances; what else could he be but a god?

"Thank the God-Emperor for his blessings!" some followers instinctively prayed, their voices filled with the relief of having escaped a disaster.

"I am not from the Imperium, nor do I worship the God-Emperor; I am merely a human being."

Lin Yu's calm voice was like a stone thrown into a still lake, breaking the atmosphere. His words were clear and powerful, shocking everyone.

The entire area instantly fell silent, and those who had just been frantically praising the God-Emperor now quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

On Alpha Star, the Ecclesiarchy's influence was already weak, and they were not devout believers. In their desperation, they had instinctively placed their hopes in the ethereal God-Emperor. Now, hearing Lin Yu's words, they felt a touch of awkwardness, but also secretly relieved that they no longer had to feign false piety.

Lin Yu said no more. He already knew that the Ecclesiarchy's influence on this planet was negligible, and these followers were not truly devout believers. After all, under the Great Clock's powerful insight, almost nothing on this planet could be hidden from him.

"Alright, you all eat something first, and then use the nano-medical pods to repair your bodies. Gaia will control the robots to guide you."

After Lin Yu finished speaking, his figure flickered and he disappeared from before the crowd, leaving behind a group of followers staring blankly in the direction he had left.

The nano-medical pods were a byproduct developed by Lin Yu during the construction of his industrial system. They were streamlined, cocoon-shaped, and emitted a soft blue light, looking full of technological sophistication.

Equipped with advanced medical nanorobots, the pods could precisely repair the human body at a molecular level, restoring it to its healthiest state.

At the same time, combined with the energy repair fluid Lin Yu had previously formulated, this energy fluid, through clever intervention in human hormone production and energy provision, possessed a near-resurrection capability.

As long as the head was not completely shattered, even if the heart was broken, if placed in a nano-medical pod within a short time, with external nutrients provided, damaged organs could regenerate.

Of course, if only the head remained, it would be more convenient and cost-effective to re-clone a body using his cells.

The reason Lin Yu had prepared all this in advance was that he knew it was unrealistic to expect many healthy, complete humans among these Underhive dwellers.

He also did not wish to be followed by a group of physically incomplete people, or cyborgs with most of their flesh replaced by machinery. He wanted his team members to be in the best physical condition to contribute to future development.

Lin Yu had complete trust in Gaia, the super artificial intelligence created through the Great Clock. This large quantum computer, personally built by him as Gaia's vessel, possessed unimaginably powerful performance.

It was like a wise brain, systematically controlling the operation of the entire base and industrial cluster, handling even complex tasks with ease.

Using the vast amount of data collected by the Great Clock, Lin Yu confirmed much important information. This planet seemed to have once been a forge world for a technological warlord during the Dark Age of Technology, thus possessing a good deal of technological data beyond the current 41st millennium.

Although most of the data was damaged, with the remaining fragments and the Great Clock's powerful computing capabilities, Lin Yu successfully completed and innovated many technological achievements.

In his research of these materials, Lin Yu discovered that whether it was the Imperial era or the earlier Human Dark Age of Technology, their programming and information technology were vastly different from that of the Super God Universe.

Setting aside the enormous disparity in computer processing power, merely in terms of programming languages, the Imperium was still using basic programming languages based on electrical technology. Such languages merely performed pure numerical calculations through the movement of electrons within a computer.

In the Super God Universe, however, whether it was the Angels' Sacred Language or the Divine River's Divine River Language, both were mysterious and powerful.

They could not only mobilize dark energy but were also energy-infused languages, like runes that expounded the rules between heaven and earth, capable of directly exerting force on the real universe through dark energy, fundamentally different from the Imperium's programming languages.

Of course, considering the practical situation, what ran in this quantum computer was not dark language, but artificial intelligence programmed with electronic information technology. But even so, its advanced level exceeded currently known Imperial programs by more than ten orders of magnitude.

Moreover, thanks to the confidentiality of quantum computing, Lin Yu estimated that even the legendary and terrifying Electronic Demons and Chaos Runes would find it difficult to corrupt Gaia in a short time.

With the aid of external computing power, Gaia might even be able to treat the invasion of Electronic Demons like an electronic virus, completely eradicating them.

However, all of this remained in the theoretical stage and had not yet been practically verified, and Lin Yu himself could not be entirely certain. He could only bury this expectation deep in his heart, waiting for future situations to arise before attempting it.
