“Ah!”
The man screamed, and with the Ancient Magic Witches' Golden Necklace combined with the Bodel Candle, Xia De's Silver Moon Slash almost split the man's entire head in half.
But he was still not dead, and while screaming, he swung his sword to block the short knife stabbing from the weak Annette's hand behind him.
Then his body shot upwards, clinging to the treetop, like a giant bat, trying to fly out of the room.
But no matter how fast he flew, he wouldn't be faster than light.
A curved light blade chased him from behind, cutting down the huge flying shadow.
The man fell heavily to the ground, the bloody longsword in his right hand dissipated, and the labyrinth candle in his left hand rolled to the side.
The bloody mist emanating from his body forced Annette to retreat.
“No, no, I can’t get hurt here! That tree… no! Damn it! I can’t get hurt here.”
“Detective, his condition is not right, be careful.”
Annette reminded him, her short hair was scattered behind her head, and there was a shallow bloodstain on her face.
Xia De had never seen this lady look so disheveled, so it seemed that while Xia De was confronting the Silver-Eyed One, the battle outside also looked very fierce.
“I know, you two be careful too, that tree…”
“Haha.”
Laughter came again from under the tree, and the eerie blue vines once again illuminated the man under the tree.
“Silver-Eyed One!”
Bei Ya Si barely managed to suppress the urge to throw a Sunlight Gun at him.
“This damned thing, damned Blood Spirit School! You’re hurt here! You’re finished too! The corpse tree won’t let anyone go.”
The man under the tree laughed loudly, and in the blood mist, the PentaCircle's Destiny Ring clearly appeared behind the Vampire.
But its core Ling Rune was not entirely the brass color of inspiration; the Vampire's core Ling Rune was the whisper black iron color.
“I smell Moonlight, who exactly are you?”
The trembling voice became incredibly hoarse, completely lacking the magnetic quality it had when speaking to Annette just now.
Xia De took a step back, lit the labyrinth candle, and once again concealed his figure, while a silver mist appeared, and Moonlight Illusion enveloped the two ladies as well.
And on the face and back of the man who had climbed back up from the ground, a terrible crack appeared, and the granulation tissue of the wound wriggled, healing his injuries at a visible speed.
At the same time, at the crack, tiny, difficult-to-observe woody tentacles gently swayed, seemingly wanting to combine with those granulation tissues.
Bei Ya Si shook the holy bell and threw a Sunlight Gun at the gradually mutating man, but the tree vines above his head actually actively blocked the lightning:
“What?”
The brass Destiny Ring behind the Vampire emitted a bloody light, and then his entire body transformed into a streak of blood-light.
He did not rush towards the two ladies in the illusion but instead rushed towards Xia De, who should have been in an invisible state.
“He can see me too?”
Xia De quickly dodged, but when the blood mist around the man spread out, Xia De's figure actually emerged from the air.
“I smell Moonlight! Who are you?”
The cracks on his head continuously healed, but his appearance became increasingly ferocious.
He seemed to be somewhat insane; the bloody light crashed into Xia De, and almost in the moment, his right hand, which was almost mutating into a claw, gripped Xia De's throat and lifted him high.
However, the golden necklace on Xia De's neck immediately became hot and burning upon contact with the claw.
“What is this?”
Golden light bloomed from the Magic Witches' necklace, and the claw's grip immediately loosened a bit, giving Xia De a chance:
“Choking someone by the neck never kills them! Killing you will end this adventure.”
He said words that no one understood, and with a flick of the light from his right hand, he forcefully severed the right arm, which had become abnormally thick, as if covered in woody armor.
The tall man in the blood mist stumbled backward, but the blood gushing from his severed arm transformed into two bloody longswords that stabbed towards Xia De.
The short blade on his fingertip cut through the first longsword, but the second sword pierced into Xia De's left shoulder.
Xia De suppressed the urge to cry out in pain, gripping the sword with his right hand, wanting to pull it out, but the longsword's bloody light flickered, and he felt his whole body's blood boiling, completely unable to control his own blood.
“Sunlight Gun!”
The crisp sound of a bell reached his ears, and then golden lightning shot out from behind the Vampire, directly piercing his heart.
The blood mist grew thicker, and Xia De staggered, wanting to escape, but the pain from the wound pierced by the bloody longsword almost paralyzed him.
“The whisper element on your body…”
“I know, I’m also injured, that tree is affecting me.”
The longsword had not yet been pulled out, but woody tentacles had already appeared at the wound.
“You’re also finished.”
The Silver-Eyed One's voice seemed to come from a great distance, and Xia De felt his consciousness seemed a little blurry.
In the still-fading Silver Moon's Illusion, after Bei Ya Si threw the Sunlight Gun, she was unable to move as if exhausted.
And Annette did not try to attack with the golden short knife in her hand again; instead, she once again took off her butterfly-shaped hair ornament and threw it forward.
A swarm of translucent pale blue butterflies immediately mixed with the bloody light around the man's body.
The bloody light weakened slightly, and the Vampire's face finally became visible.
The crack Xia De had split on his face was not repaired; instead, some vine-like tentacles were trying to drill out of the wound.
His entire head had therefore expanded to twice its size, and tiny woody tentacles spread from the wound across his entire face, revealing black patterns like tattoos on his face.
The twisted and eerie feeling made the fellow, who was not human to begin with, even less human.
His mutated body carried a primitive sense of fear, an indescribably bizarre shape, which seemed to give him greater power.
Black mist mixed with bloody mist intertwined around him, and in his beast-like yellow vertical pupils, the light of wisdom gradually disappeared, while madness and cruelty grew stronger and stronger.
“Damn it! He’s out of control, that tree is affecting him!”
The purple-eyed Diviner groaned, and just as he was about to pull something else out of his pocket, he found that the Vampire in front of him was constantly growing taller, the blood mist swallowed the blue butterfly swarm, and his shadow on the ground actually transformed into the shape of a large tree.
Bells rang, whistles wailed, and there was also the barely perceptible flapping of a swarm of bats' wings.
A deep voice, like rusting metal rubbing together, echoed in everyone's ears:
“Bloodsucking monsters roar at…”
The Ling Rune on the PentaCircle's Destiny Ring behind him quickly arranged themselves, and Annette was startled:
“This is…”
“Sublimation Words! He’s completely insane!”
The Silver-Eyed One laughed loudly, wanting to watch everyone here die with him.
But the Silver-Eyed One himself had no intention of using Sublimation Words; he was afraid of death and would not do such a crazy thing.
Annette temporarily couldn't deal with the madman under the tree; she wanted to run towards Xia De, who had already collapsed to the ground, but she felt the air instantly turn into a viscous liquid, completely unable to break through.
“…Under the bloody sunset.”
A bloody scent swept over, and bloody light filled their vision; with the use of Sublimation Words, everything around them changed.
A tall monster stood in the ruins of a twilight sunset, with crooked, tall buildings visible everywhere in the distance, and behind him was a bloody sunset.
